Happy friday everyone,

its still pouring rain here. Tomorrow is suppose to be dry before another week of rain comes.:sad2:

Pretty quiet without Greg today;) He's probably sitting in a hot tub relaxing on the ship.

Hope everyone has a good weekend planned.Mine plans are :laundy: and grocery shopping and hopefully go see my mom.

see you late nanaheads,

Kathy

Hi ya all:

Nothing much is going on here, just some running tomorrow and sunday I'm going to take it easy.

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Howdy Denise,
I am still here, just got busy cleaning today.
Our rain has finally stopped and they are still saying dry tomorrow.:thumbsup2

Hope you have a good weekend,

Kathy

Greeting all!

Yes, things are never the same without me around! :rotfl2:

Internet on the ship is very slow. We're currently sailing along side Cuba...have been all day! We should be arriving in Labadee tomorrow morning.

So far has been really fun. The kids are having a blast playing in the pools and clubs. We had our Cruise Critic part this afteroon and it was very fun. Our family won several items including a work of art from the art dealer on board. I have no idea who the artist is, but it a pretty painting of Notre Dame catheral in Paris....how fitting since we'll be there for Christmas! :woohoo:

I'm definitely going to be on a diet again after this cruise. The food is surprisingly very good. Not your typical "cruise food". I had, by far, the best piece of prime rib I've ever eaten last night at dinner! :cloud9:

Enjoy my absence...I know it will be tough! :lmao:

I'll try and check in after a couple of days.

Hi all,

Greg, glad all is going well. Hope you can fit in the airplane seat to get back home after all that good food:rotfl2:

The sun is shinnign brightly today and its not hot but it is comfortable.

I just got home from grocery shopping. I hate going on a saturday but it needed to be done. Now its all put away and I am relaxing.

Greg and Peter have gone to Dennys for a late lunch.
Going to BBQ some elk meat tonight:thumbsup2

Tomorrow I am driving to town to see my mom but will post after I get back.

Kathy

Greeting from the High Seas! :wave2:

We're somewhere between Haiti and Colombia now. Strong winds are rough seas.....Brayden is not happy about the ship rocking and Nicole is seas sick. The rest of us are just fine.

Brayden is starting to realize that we aren't going to sink and enjoying it. Nicole is still green in the face.

Our stop in Haiti was better then expected. The weather was excellent...we all have sun burns even after applying repeated amount of sun screen. We'll be good to go once we readh Cartagena tomorrow monring though. :thumbsup2

Kathy, nice pictures! Glad to you had a good visit with your mom.

Denise, I'll see what I can pick up for you in Colombia?! :rotfl2:

Gotta run. I'll check back in a couple of days.

I feel a lot of expensive psycho therapy coming soon.;)
Oh the mental anguish
Oh the agony of it all
My psychy is all crushed now.

BOO HOO !!:lmao:

Christine,

I will be anxious to read what they release. I understand why they only give out a little info at a time but I wish they would of told us everything already.
Its hard on the nerves to wait for all these months.

Kathy

Well I just received some bad news....
Heather is being deployed to Korea for a year....she's not going until January, but has to leave Isabella home with daddy...who will be stationed at Ft Lewis Washington (state). Now I have to work out with daddy, some time to bring her here for a little while...

So needless to say, I'm not real happy right now.

Kathy: nice pic's I love the pic of pixie and minnie staring at each other....

have a good one
:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Sorry Denise :guilty:

OK here is what's been released...looks like this ship is going to be amazing
Here's what's new:

Re-Imagined Animator's Palate. The Animator's Palate restaurant on Disney Wonder and Disney Magic famously changes from black-and-white to color while screens lining its perimeter come alive with Disney animations past and present. On Disney Dream, however, the concept is tweaked and taken to a new level thanks to fresh technology (pictured above).

Diners enter a room decorated with character sketches and images of tools one might find in an art studio (paint brushes, etc.) -- but, as the meal goes on, wall-mounted LCD screens change, transforming the space into an undersea world. The effect is of being in a room underwater with windows out to the sea and its creatures. But that's not all -- Crush, the turtle from "Finding Nemo," will swim around the restaurant via these screens engaging guests in live, impromptu conversations (we saw this same technology in action during the show-and-tell last fall; Crush will also interact with guests in the ship's kids' areas).

Crush caps off the meal with a virtual surfing lesson before he and his friends -- Nemo, Dory, Squirt and Bruce the shark -- transform into pencil sketches before guests' eyes.

Interactive Play-Floor. The cruise industry's first-ever interactive floor will debut onboard. What this is, essentially, is a gaming device that allows young cruisers to play in a more active way, the same concept that has made the Nintendo Wii console and its components wildly successful. For example, children might move around the perimeter of the floor to control the pitch of a virtual tilt maze.

It will also serve as a unique storytelling device, allowing kids to, say, virtually fly over the streets of London with Peter Pan. The play-floor will be found in Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab.

Detective Adventures ... with Enchanted Art. We've already reported on the special animated art that will grace the walls onboard; this art will actually be framed LCD screens that recognize when a guest is present, activating several seconds of animation in the picture. For example, an animation cell from "Bambi" might show a butterfly flitting across the scene.

What's new, however, is that this technology is going to be used to host unique, detective-themed adventures for guests of all ages. Participants will receive a card-shaped device through which they can "peer behind" these virtual canvases to uncover hidden clues and solve a mystery (stolen artwork, missing puppies). The game is self-paced and features six potential villains as well as randomized events, so it is different each time a guest plays.

Disney Dream is due out in January 2011. Stay tuned for more information as it is announced.

Denise,
I am so sorry to hear about her moving. That will be extremely hard on her and the baby too. I cant imagine not seeing my baby for a year. But I guess it comes with the job. i hope her dad will be generous with the baby's visiting time for you. Plus I hope he doesnt have to hard atime finding a good trustworthy baby sitter on base. I use to baby sit when Greg was at Fort Lewis for extra money. A lot of the wives do that.

Christine,

thanks for posting the latest updates. It just keeps getting better and better:thumbsup2

we had over an inch of rain in the last 24 hours, and its still pouring rain.
I miss Florida's winters:goodvibes

Have a good day all,

Kathy
