Is any one going down a few days before the cruise? We were thinking about a few days before because it is our Anniversary (10 years) :eek:and it is where we honeymooned.

I was thinking about the going down part last night. My mother is joining us and she will probably be in Florida by then. She lives in Boca Raton and we have to figure out how she gets to the ship. Right now, I'm thinking of flying in to West Palm the day before, driving the half hour to her place and then driving back up to Port Canaveral and staying over night. But does that mean we drive her back down after the cruise and fly home out of West Palm?

Right now, we don't know if we will spend any extra time in the parks. It all has to do with available vacation time. If we do, that puts a new spin on what we do to get my mom.

because the cruise leaves on a Saturday, We will fly down on Thursday night to get some Mouse time in then take the cruise transportation. We have some friends and family in West Palm so I know the area well. My Grandparents lived in Plantation.

We are arriving the day before and staying at the port. Easier for us the morning of the cruise. We like to get to the port early and get the first boarding. We were 2nd to checkin on our last cruise.

It saw Little Mermaid in late January. I do not know how old every one is (on the board) but if you like 80's rock, you have to see Rock of Ages. What a show!!!!

Also is any else a Mac user?

I'm using a Mac, got it a couple of months ago so I'm still learning. DH decided he didn't want to be a PC any longer, so when my PC died he came home with the Mac. He didn't come home with any instructions on how to use it, and I quickly found out how firmly my feet were planted into windows. I do have to admit that I'm enjoying it & will probably upgrade my laptop when it's time.

Hi everyone and welcome :welcome:to all the new people who have joined since the last time I was on.

We just got back from a 12 day trip to California and Utah. We spent 3 days at Disneyland and had a great time! Now back to reality :goodvibes

For this cruise I don't think that we are going to any parks or staying anywhere before or after the cruise because we do not want the kids to miss too many days of school. As it is they are going to miss about 5 - 6 days of school.

Have a good day everyone!

Vicki

DH and I might go down for the Halloween party at MK the night before. If not, then we’ll stay at the airport Hyatt . We did that for the last cruise and it was very convenient. :thumbsup2

We stayed at the Hyatt many times and they handle the Disney Cruise very well.

I have been using Mac for about 5 years and so far one one problem. I was hit with a non-destructive trojan horse. After a few apple specialists, we we able to find it and delete it. For all you PC users, Don't be scared of change, lol:surfweb:

Yesterday one more of my wife's co-workers signed up for the cruise:thumbsup2. Does any one know what Disney does for a group?

We went to Disneyland last year and it was very different then WDW. The DisneyLand Hotel is beautiful.

The Hyatt is great and they work well with DCL. The current plan for us is to fly down the day before and stay the night there. It is just too stressful to try to fly in the same day.

Hey! we leave in 25 day for our trip to WDW. I will be more present on this thread once we return and recover from this next trip. Lois

I think you want to contact your travel agent and get your reservations linked - well - that is if you want to sit together for dinners . . . .

someone else can probably give you more inforation . . .

Welcome! We've had to change our dates 2 times, so I know how it is. There are several other New Jersey families on this cruise. I'm not one of them, but I did love Real Housewives of New Jersey.;) What can I say? I love trashy tv shows.

How is everyone doing? It is hotter than hell here in Kansas. Grandma4ever, hope you are staying cool. Our air conditioner has been running non-stop these past couple of days. Boy, I wish I was on a cruise ship right now!

Our heat wave continues here. It's supposed to be 98, but with the humidity it will feel like 110 degrees. I think I'm keeping the boys home from t-ball practice today.

Hi all, we have switched our dates and sadly will not be on this cruise anymore, but I hope ya'll have a fantastic time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2
Sorry for any inconvience about having to remove us from roll call (and my sister & fam as well) at least its far enough away:lmao:

Yes please have a fabulous time!!!! We are going to try the Eastern route in December!:cutie: So we need to be removed from Roll Call as well.... Happy Sailing everyone!!!!

Thought I was the only crazy one to switch cruise dates. We orig. booked a 4 night Sept. 2010 and decided to up it to the 7 night in Oct. Never been on DCL before....how does DCL compare to Carnival?

Me and DH celebrating 27 yrs. together!!!

Where do I start.......

I do not mean to put down Carnival. I have sailed with them a few times and there is no such thing as a bad cruise.:goodvibes I fell that Disney is well worth the extra money vs. the other lines. The disney ships do not have the las vegas fell (neon lights and darker colors). The shows on disney are less flamboyant. The ships do not have a casino but have a few things to do at night. Carnival promotes a party fell (announcements for bingo, drink specials, art auction , ect.. throught the day) Disney does not do that once. Disney is very much a family cruise. Because this is your first disney cruise, look in to getting Birnbaum's Disney Cruise Line 2008,PassPorter's Field Guide to the Disney Cruise Line and Its Ports of Call, or the travel channel sometimes does a special on the DCL. Another good source to the Navigators (the daily activities letter) is disneycruiser.
I hope this helps. Fell free to post any questions you may have and some one will have the answer.

Welcome aboard:thumbsup2

So glad I found this site to keep me informed about my cruise! Who would have thought that folks planned this far ahead. :goodvibes
