Will add you. Hey Costco is where I got Tim's Snorkel Gear too! I Still have to buy Daniel's.

I compared the prices between private trip by CM (3hr) and the DCL sponsored excursion (4.5 hr). Private party cost for our family of 4 is $136 and the DCL cost would have been $356. $200 bucks difference for the extra hour and a half at the DCL one. Weighed the pros and cons and came out very pleased with the decision. I'm waiting to hear back from CM with the confirmation number but did put in the ressie notes that I wanted to be linked up with you. Hope I did it right.

Yep, if you put my name in the comments section, you in with us!

Ok, so now I'm getting well into our planning, and considering joining you on the Captain Marvin's trip if that was ok? I just wanted to check whether it would be suitable for our 3 yr old - will she be able to stay on the boat? Also, DH's sister won't get into the water as it causes her psoriasis to flare up - is the trip still worth doing? And we have an 11 yr old that is a little daredevil on land, but not so sure around stingrays!

I will get DD11 look at the videos and pictures later, but it would be handy if anyone has any info for the other concerns.

Thanks! :goodvibes

For the snorkeling part, your SISIlaw would be able to watch your little one on the boat for you but would she be willing to do this? At the stingray City part, it's shallow water, there but still might be too deep for your 3yr old, BUT you could always hold/carry her for that part. I'm expecting my 7yr old to be held or carried by DH at the Stingray part. As for your SisIlaw, from the boat, if she is happy to take pictures and have fun watching you all in the water, it might still be worth it but that would be a personal decision. Definately have the kids watch the Captain Marvins videos you can even find some good ones on Youtube, (but view the youtube ones yourself before showing the kids lol). If you decide to go with us, just mention my name, Judy Baggott in the comments section of your reservation page and that will keep this group together on the same boat! Would love to have you along! :)

Has anyone done this itinerary before and done Boatswains Adventure Park in Grand Cayman on their own? If so, is it easy to do?

The DCL listing for this excursion seems ridiculously expensive when compared to the prices on Boatswains own website. Since we can't do Captain Marvin's, I was considering doing this instead, especially because my kids would like the Turtle Farm. You can buy tickets online in advance, but wasn't sure if I should do this or wait until we get there.

I posted this on the main board, but haven't received any responses yet.

I just put in a request for NC, too. Hope we're not too late!! Thanks for pointing out the number of ships in port that day- as much as my kids were wanting to go to Paradise Beach, with that many people I don't know how fun it would be!!

My sons are 11 & 13- any other boys that age in our group at NC?

Our Nachi list just keeps growing. Yahoo! Fingers crossed that all of you receive your confirmations back from Island Marketing. I'm sure they must be wondering what is going on with all the people from our Magic cruise contacting them in the last few days. :confused3

Listed below are the people I know about. Thought it would be helpful to include the ages of the children which I copied off the roll call. If I have an age or gender wrong, just let me know. Seems to be a good mix of ages among the kids on the Nachi Beach.

tinkerbelltwins (4) DD6 and DD6
nenner (5); DS11, DD9, DD2
eyes4mickey (4) DS 13, DS10
tjbaggott (4); DS13, DS7
kristiuk (8) DD11, DD3
Pudo (4) DD17, DD6
threeiscrazy (5); DD9, DD6, DS3
jkswonder (4); DD9, DS4
fastpaks maybe (3); DS7
ssteele (2)
podsnel (4); DS 13; DS11

If I have my math right (never a guarantee with me!) we are at 47 people (including a maybe from fastpaks) with 26 adults and 21 children (10 boys and 11 girls). We're almost to the halfway point for booking the whole beach! Are there any others out there who want to join us?:cool2:

This is going to be a fun excursion. BTW...I just got an email confirmation that the $36 deposit has been charged and we are confirmed. $139 total for the 4 of us, $103 due to the Tour Operator.

See y'all at Nachi!! :cool1:

Oh. Forgot to mention. I called my TA just to get her opinion on "port load" and she said, "yeah, 15,000 people is a lot for Cozumel in one day", which made me feel even better about our Nachi decision. :goodvibes

Brendan is 11...I'm sure he'll enjoy hanging with the boys! :thumbsup2 He gets tired of Savannah and all her grilfriends! LOL!

We have not gotten confirmation from Nachi yet, but they were pretty quick to snag that deposit money out of our account so we'll just consider ourselves confirmed. These are going ot be a great couple of excursions (CM and NC)..so what all can we come up with for KW, maybe a bunch of us con commandeer the Conch Train all at once! LOL!!! :rotfl:

We received our email confirmation today! (the one where thats the sheet you print off and take with you the day of).
I wonder if it is possible to rent out a bus?

We received our confirmation just a few minutes ago!

It would be great if we could organize some sort of group transport, since there are so many of us going.

What is the website again for Nachi Cocom....I found one but it had nowhere to put in a request...could you post the link again...thanks.

With already 40 some people going to Nachi Cocom, I've just emailed an enquiry to Mexico Bus Charter LTD. How would everyone feel about a school bus? It's for what a 15 minute ride there and 15 minutes back? They have other buses, nice ones, but I thought that perhaps a school bus would be the least costly. I'd appreciate opinions on this one!
I'll let you know what they quote me. :)

Hmmm I heard back from the Charter place. Probably best that we all go in the vans at the port. Nachi tells me the bus companies cannot pick us up at the port due to the Taxi Union who have sole rights at the port, yet the bus company says they CAN pick us up there. But it actually costs us more for the bus. Firgure the taxi vans will be about $4.00 per person avg. one way for a total of roughly $8.00 per person. The bus, if we reached 50 people would be almost $18.00 per person. Of course that number would go down if 60 people went (and thats the maximum that will fit on the bus, but the bus could make two trips to pick up more if we ended up with more than 60 people.

I'm thinking it's just easier to stick with the Taxi Vans a few families can fit into each one.

I wouldn't mind a school bus. My DS is obsessed with them in fact, almost as much as he is with Linney!

Would this be to go to and from? Although I'm sure lots of us may be o.k. with arriving at the same time, some may need to leave earlier than others (cough, mother of cranky toddler, cough) ;) Although, I gather you could just catch a cab back if needed.

Thanks!!!

Sent away my request for the 13 of us.....not sure yet if all want to do this but I think it will be fun.

WE have been to Mr. Sanchos, Paradise Beach and Playa Mia beach clubs in Cozumel and all were nice...but I like the idea of only 100 people at Nachi....easier to keep an eye on the little ones in our group.
