Oct 30 2010 7 Night Western (PART 2)

Janice, any chance you could add the Captain Marvin's update/schedule info to the main page under the Captain Marvin's section? That way everybody can check it easily. Thanks so much if you can :thumbsup2

Done!

For newcomers or Old Comers. Still thinking of what to do on our GRAND CAYMAN DAY? Our Captain Marvin's list, according to Ruth, at Captain Marvins, is at 63. So there is still room on the boat if anyone else would like to join. Use the links on Page 1 to reserve your spot! (12 spots open) :thumbsup2

DH if you are lurking :surfweb: out there-maybe we should consider this.

I have whats probably a stupid packing question. Do you all (or any of you) iron clothes before packing them? Is that a waste of time? Or will they at least come out of the suitcase less wrinkly if I do iron before packing them in? I'm talking DH's shirts, my shorts and capris. Suitcases will be finished up today (the clothes anyway), The FE's suitcase and box is ALMOST finished being packed up. WHAT ELSE? Another something for DS'S snorkeling gear, the NACHI treasure hunt, Our Formal and Semil Formal stuff. Oh, the camera's, charge up the batteries, find all the memory cards, find our Flash drive, Pack the movies for the drive, our med bag.

I made an impulse purchase last night from the shopping channel. I dont' usually watch that, but occasionally will scan by it to see what they've got. I ordered a Camcorder last night. JVC's High end one. I will have 30 days to try it out and return it if it doesn't do the job I want. So I thought this trip would be the perfect opportunity to see if it's finally an acceptable kind to me. (I had tried out a Panasonic one this past Spring. Outdoor shots were great, but indoor ones were SO Pixelated). I returned it after two days of testing it. I got a RED one this time too, so it will stand out from the majority, and less likely to get lost?
My mind is racing miles a minute, but I don't yet feel panicked. Anxious, YES!! I just KNOW, I'm going to forget something, but at least it won't be my bathing suit this time (it's already packed!)

You reminded me of something that is a MUST PACK if you have a lot of electronic equipment. Most of the staterooms (non-suites) have a handful of convenient outlets, but for many of us there is not enough.

Charging your cameras, camcorders, laptops, and cell phones will cause you to quickly run out of outlets so bring a surge protector or multi-outlet strip.

When someone wants to use a hair dryer and there are no outlets left because everything is charging things can get a little ugly fast. :rotfl2:

Did anyone look into chartering a shuttle bus or some form of group transportation? I know it was mentioned, but I have seen anything in a while.

Jeff

Snorkeling always sounds good to me. Sign us up if there is still availability.:thumbsup2

I would for you if I could. But each family must make their own ressie directly with Captain Marvin's. Go to the 1st page, click on the Captain Marvin's link to take you to the Captain Marvins website. Once there, use the links to make your reservation for our date and it's the 10 am 1/2 day tour. In the comment section of your ressie, ask for your reservation to be linked with "Judy Baggott's" and then you will be in our group. You have to give a Credit Card number, but they don't charge your card. The day of the tour, if you want them to charge your card, they will do it at that point, but do know it will be 5% more than the quoted price. The quoted price is what you pay if using cash or travellers chq's. :thumbsup2 There is definately room for the two of you! Two snorkeling stops plus stingray City!!

The shuttle bus was a no go. Way too expensive and then I was told that the busses are not allowed into the port. Something about a contract with the taxi companies? So I suggest we pair up where we can and pile into the available vans 1st and cars.:)

I've bought a new package or bottle of every possible kind of OTC medication that is available.

The one thing I've found with disney is their selection of OTC meds is very limited (at least at the hotels - not sure about on the ship yet), and I will not purchase medication outside of Canada and the US.

If you're missing anything (at least for adults), drop by my cabin. I'll be happy to share - and I practically guarantee I have what you're looking for.

What's your stateroom number again? :lmao:

I usually have every OTC thing I can ever need (and then some), but just in case ;)

This is our fifth cruise and for some reason I am not stressing about what to bring. Whatever I forget will be the gain of the Rite Aid in Key West! ;)

Same here..... I thought about it last night and really, my cruise "clothes" are in the closet ready to go... ;) Between work and a 9th birthday, the next 2 weeks will fly by!

:cool1:Just received our confirmation and they verified that we are linked to the group. Please add us (2) to the list.

Things are really starting to come together.

The Magic arrived back in Port Canaveral last night!
