Are these pin codes mailed out or when you happen to book a ressie it is attched to your name/address, etc.

The PIN I received for Nov. was unique and could only be used by me and family members (we have three rooms at the same resort and applied to all). We followed instructions by others on this web site to use the Disney website, use an e-mail that Disney did not recognize, make several bookings but not choosing Disney property hotels, and within a few days they e-mailed an offer with the PIN (trying to lure you to book their properties---and it worked!). Room only - but tell me what you think - I already have a room ressie with 10% off across the board for my stay 10/2-10/9 - the pin code is for 35% off up to 10/7 - so I'd have to pay full price for those last two days - would I be saving any more money with the pin code? (I'm mathematically challenged!)

Just some food for thought. Wouldn't it be saving u more if you did the FD plan. As long as your 1st arrival date is on or B4 Oct 2 you will get free dining for all your days.

I would expect a 10/3/2010-12/19/2010 FD announcer around the end of June early July time frame. Gotta be patient.

I am so depressed! I just found out we would not be able to go Sept (I had reservations, FD, and all reservations when & were we wanted.) Now I have to reschedule.
Someone please tell me, is there any indication that FD will be offered during Thanksgiving week? or is everyone just "hoping" for a Nov-Dec FD?
Has anyone said anything that is based on substance (i.e. a moderator said they heard it would be, etc.)?
I did see it was offered last year...maybe that is enough indication since the economy isn't good and the whole HP thing going on at Universal.
Encourage me please.... as my budget was based on FD!

we are looking at Nov 9 - 16. Called disney and the person helping me said to look about 3 months prior to the current special expiration date of oct 2nd?

So..would that mean around July 2nd to be looking for some type of promotion? I also hope it is the free dining option.

After much consideration today and a loonngg telephone conversation w my TA (whom I trust completely-known her for years, blah, blah, blah) our better deal was to take the 35% discount on our moderate resort. This trip is just me and my DD and we don't eat as much as the DP offers. We bring snacks from home that we keep in our packs and eat a meal once a day - wherever we're at at the time. So I'm thrilled w our savings! Just means more money to spend on souvineers! Yippee!!

I agree with you on that...I think the FD would save more. Regardless, we are all going and hopefully, I save a few dollars. We are taking our DD, DD& DSIL, DGS 5 DGS 6. They are staying in the THV and we are at the Yacht Club. I knew when I started this it would be expensive and it is all proving me right!

9/29 - 10/13 at BC - already have the 40% off applied from 9/29 to 10/2 which I am very excited about, now just waiting and hoping for a discount from 10/3 to 10/13. We are going anyway so if there isn't a discount then that is fine but gosh a 40% discount for 10 nights at BC will be a huge saving so I really have my fingers crossed that some sort of discount will come out so that we can apply it to our booking

No Sorry, I put the incorrect date, we are at AKL for 8 nights, then BC for 14 nights. We are doing room only at BC as we will have our tickets from the AKL ressie and will be upgrading to AP's so no free dining on the BC reservation.
