We did the jet skis on CC last year while we were on the Wonder. Actually the more accurate description would be that I started to do the jet skis last year. This was a last minute decision as our parasail had been canceled. I was a little nervous and they suggested I should ride doubles with DH. We were moving a long quite happily and they kept signalling us to speed up. As soon as we did, we both fell off the jet ski. We were right in front of the Flying Dutchman when we went in. I did not have enough upper body strength to get back on. In any case I was not to keen to continue anyway. We were still within easy swimming distance to the beach, but they did not let me swim back. They sent the parasailing boat to collect me and take me back to the beach. I spent a happy hour chatting to the tour operator staff at the beach while DH continued on the excursion.

You fell off?! :scared1: We were thinking (hoping) it was not really a possibility because the jet skis look like four wheeler size vehicles for the water. We will have to go out to the beach and see what it is all about, instead of pre-booking. My husband has a mobility disability and if he were to fall off, I don't know if he would be able to get onto a boat straight from the water. We might just do the stingray feeding/snorkel and crab races. Thanks for the heads up! :thumbsup2

We might be the first to be able to book for 2011 onboard, or at the very least know what the itineraries will be so we can pre-book with more information!

Count us in for the tequila/margarita tasting. :cool1: We have only done wine in the past, but we are both looking forward to this one as well as possibly a cognac tasting. Those are the two that interest us the most.

I love looking at my ticker and seeing less than two months until our vacation starts! We will be at WDW starting September 30. :cloud9:

:cool1: It would be so nice if we are able to book 2011 dates! We want to rebook onboard, but I know we wont be going in 2010, so I had planned on doing the "dummy date", but where's the fun in booking a pretend date?

Well, I spent the entire day shopping! :headache: And for those of you that know me well (Laura and Terri) I HATE shopping. I know, I'm not a normal female. :confused3 Most of it was back to school shopping. I am now done for Riley and Bailey, but haven't even started for Ashley. She's never here though, so it will be interesting shopping for her. I also picked up Rileys shoes for semi-formal night and some disney flip flops and a bathing suit for Bailey (for the cruise), and I bought medicine and bathroom stuff to pack, so I did get a little accomplished for the cruise. :thumbsup2

I've got to head out the door again, Riley has soccer pratice and we have to go on the way to get her cleats and shin guards. More shopping...:headache:

I'm not a normal woman either. I'm don't really like shopping. Now if I luck into a great sale, I'm all about it!

Tried on Thomas' suit from last cruise and let's just say we have to get a new one. The arms are about 6 inches too short. Who knew a 9 year old would grow so fast!

Taylor's dress was a little big last year and we put a little tuck in it. This year we have to let the straps and the tuck out and she is all set for formal night. Now I have to decide what to do for Thomas. I may put him in some dark dress pants and a nice shirt and vest or something. I found a dress hanging in my closet with the tags still on it that I got off the 4.97 rack at JCPenneys. So I am set.

What are others doing for their 9-10 year old boys for formal night?

Hey all. I'm going to pass on the tasting time with ya. Not my thing. I do love to have a drink or two here and there but not a big drinker. :) Have fun! :)

As for shopping, I don't mind doing it if it's online. Otherwise, I'm not thrilled to go out. :)

Well, nothing more to report today. Take it easy! :) Kristi

Thanks everyone for the help on the FE gifts!! I have a couple of more questions about the cruise:

1. How dressed up is everyone getting for pirate night?
2. Can little girls dress up as princess, tinkerbell, peter pan that night and not be out of place? I don't know if one of my girls will go with the pirate them. She is all girl. Nothing like me!
3. How dressed up is formal night?

**I hate shoppping** Any suggestion on where to get pirate attire other than US Toys or Oriential Trading?

On another note count us in on the Margarita tasting! Does anyone know when that is?

Dismom73- Bailey was on our list of names too!! I ran into a lady once who had the same exact names for her 3 kids that I had, in the same oreder. I was so freaky!!

Thanks everyone for the help!! I can wait for the kids to go back to school so I can start getting everything done! I'm trying to clean the house today, you can see that going well I'm on the computer!! LOL Anyway, as of Thursday we will have company for the next month! A different family each week!! I guess thats what you get when you move to the beach!!

Stacey-----Ok we wont know FOR SURE when the Magarita tasting is until on board and we can get the tickets for it.....BUT according to the July 2009 Western navigators it says Mon at 2pm(sea day).....

Pirate night---I think they will be fine as princess on that night....last time we went dressed in dresses and not pirate. My girls are all girl too and they have pirate outfits that are dresses. Dont feel pressured to dress pirate.

Formal I think is FORMAL on the magic. DH wears a suit, girls wear formal dresses and I have a dress like a bridesmaid. I think it's personal preference however I believe they call it formal for a reason.

ForTheLoveOfDCL I Think from what I see you have done a great job and have been very busy.:thumbsup2 I don’t think you need to keep adding people, or even us for that matter; but you did and I thank you.:thanks: If more people add on closer I may start up a late arrival list?? We’ll see how that goes.

I have been off the last week as I was out of town and then trying to catch up on sleep as DH went to Sturgis :moped:this last weekend. (His yearly guy weekend) With a newborn and a 1 ½ yr old I have been a zombie. I get to lurk on the board but having two free hands to actually type is tough. Most of my time is in the middle of the night :surfweb:and then I can’t seem to put two coherent words together.

I would like to thank everyone for being so welcoming.:banana: I look forward to meeting everyone. It seems as though there are quite a few boys who are 11 or there abouts. DS (11) was concerned he would be alone. :cheer2::cheer2:

I think the margarita tasting sounds great and I was hoping to book it. We will see how the timing works out. I am not a big tequila person but then again I have not tried many tequilas. :drinking1 I have not had much to drink in the last two years for that matter. I am not a big drinker but when you can’t have one, boy do they sound great!!!

Dismom73, I love the names Riley and Bailey! We went with Sailor to honor my grandpa and DH past service in the Navy. But she was not named until she was two days old because we had a hard time deciding on the name. She is supposed to be out last.

Gena, I hope your mom is doing well. You all are in our thoughts.

We have only about 8 more weeks to go. We still have no cabin assignment so we are still two GTY cat 12. And I should have booked our air tickets last week because now they look to be about $100 more for all of us. For anyone familiar with Key West… I was thinking of putting the baby in the nursery, then taking a cab to the southern most point, walking the lighthouse and Hemmingway house then making our way back to the ship. There I was going to drop off DH and DS (11) for a parasailing trip and get the young ones to either take a nap or hang at the pool. Does that sound like too much?

Yes, we fell off and according to DH, so did virtually everybody at some stage of the tour. I actually hurt myself. I am not sure if I did it when I hit the jet ski of one of the guides when I went in (he was stationary at the time) or when trying to pull myself up. It was a soft tissue injury in my lower abdomen that took month to heal.

WOW! Less than 2 months to go. That's less time than I've been off work for the knee surgey. I will be talking to my boss this week about going part-time until I go back in for more surgery. This time on the other knee. More arthritis & torn cartilidge. I'm too young for replacement. At least the surgery will not be until after the cruise.
I found a dress I would love to order for formal night but $$$ is short right now because the Dr office still hasn't sent all the info to the insurance co for disability payments. 2 months is a long time to go without a paycheck. I know exactly how the PA state employees feel. (no budget passed)

Once again I want to thank everyone for thinking of me when my Dad passed. He was a Pearl Harbor vet & the family decided to give me the flag from the casket. I bawled my eyes out. I sure will miss him, but I know I'll see him again & he no longer in pain.
Well DH just got in & time to make some dinner. Type at cha all later.

We are probably in for the the margarita tasting. I didn't like any of the tequilla they brought us but it was still fun!!

I still have to decide what get for Thomas to wear to formal night. I think most of the other things are all set.

I think we are driving down. Since there are 7 of us it just seems more cost effective to drive. We are getting very excited.

I know it has been a while, we took the kids for a mini vacation. went to Holiday World for a few days and had a great time.

Have to catch up on everything looks like I will be reading for a bit tonight.

Have a great night to everyone.

For formal night, I will be in a cocktail dress, black with beading detail, hits below the knee. DD(9) will be in a dress I got on sale after Easter. My Pre-TR over on Passporter has pictures of both dresses.

I got some black gabardine pants for DS(5) from Kohl's and he has a few nice shirts to wear with them. When he tried it on, he commented, "Don't I look like I'm going to work?":cool2: He was so pleased with the outfit...

And DH will wear a suit, with much grumbling! I've put him on notice on what I expect our regular dining room attire to be and he's not particularly happy about it. But, them's the breaks!

I have to get DS some khakis/Dockers and he'll be all set. And DD and I will be wearing dresses mostly (and we may repeat:eek:).

Formal night I will wear a black cocktail dress and am currently trying to find a burgundy shall/wrap to match my shoes. My husband will be wearing a suit that coordinates with the burgundy of my accents. (Yes we are those people). :lmao: But I have seen people who seemed to not be participating in formal night, so there is a mixture. We just prefer to follow the dress code.

I have a gold evening gown for formal night, a black and royal blue cocktail dress for semi-formal night and a tan cocktail dress with black lace overlay for dinner at Palo.

Hi everyone! I too have been absent from the boards for awhile. I get stuck on facebook and forget to pop over here sometimes:eek:

I have my dress for formal and semi. They are both black. Simple but elegant.

Michelle you know I am up for the tasting. I will follow your lead when we are at port because I am not quite sure where to go or what to do.:)

Father in law just left the house, he has decided to cruise with us. Just emailed DU to get his price and pay for him. Think he is going to fly down on Friday night with Kyle, so just 4 of us driving on Thursday night. He has been with us the last 2 cuises and had fun. Boys looking forward to him going.
Off to make dinner. talk to you all later.

Hi all! Things are busy around here. Lilli's 7th birthday is this Friday and we've got 6 little girls coming over to the house for a pajama party. We were able to convince Lil not to do the sleepover part this year (phewwww). Gonna be fun. :) Then, on Saturday the family arrives to celebrate. :) This year we're really excited because we bought Lil probably the best present we've ever gotten her (birthday or Christmas). We got her a swingset!!!! :) Richard is picking it up tomorrow morning bright and early (Thursday's are one of his 2 "weekend" days) and his goal is to have it up and ready to go by the time she gets home from summer camp (which is around 6pm). :) Very exciting!!!!!!

Now, back to the cruise: My girlfriend who is working on tailoring my formal dress to fit told me today that it's all taken apart and ready for my body now so she can fit it to me. :) I'm so excited! We're going to try to get together next week.

I've also got all but a couple of graphics from people who have blessed me with their graphic abilities here on the Dis boards and then I can make final decisions as to what I want to go on the door and what I want to go on t-shirts, etc. :) We are doing embarkation shirts (polo shirts) for our entire crew and they should turn out really nice. After that though I'd like to do some cute shirts for just my crew. Not too many cause the husband will have a cow. :)

I still need to find a nice dress for semi-formal night and for my dinner at Palo and I need to get some new shoes for all 4 of us and then I think, as far as clothing is concerned, we'll be set.

My last few things I wanna do is have a surprise for the girls waiting for us in the cabin and I also wanna get something special for my DH for our anniversary. :) Since it's the 1st night of the cruise (and we've told Disney already) my guess is they will do something for us. I wanna have something special for him when we go to Palo. I've gotta put my thinking cap on and make it a good one. :)

Well, I'm off to check on possible good deals on dresses. Later all! Kristi

Good Morning Disney Dreamers. Time to rise & shine at least on the East Coast!
Nothing new to report, just wanted to say HI.:)

Good morning, here in the Uk it is nearly afternoon and therefore time to go to work. I am on late shifts for the rest of the week.
