Hi. We are joining!!! It is me (35) DH (41 on cruise) DS1 (11) DS2 (1 ½) DD (12 wks by cruise). We have had a tough year with two babies and really are looking forward to this. We were booked on a Jan Eastern but I could not wait that long. Our family needs some serious vacation time after the newest baby. In fact that is why I am up at 1 am, my only me time after I just got her to sleep.

A bit about us. I am a full time student, full time mom….. DS1 turns 12 in December and is just starting middle school, 6th grade. He is currently at a Boy Scout camp until Saturday. [nice break for him with a toddler finding his screaming voice and a new baby who does not understand or like it when she is put down] DH is a great guy and is letting me plan and us all take this trip so I can keep my sanity. We will see if it works. We live in Northern Colorado.

I would like to join the FE but I see that there was a cut off of July 20th and some were against adding late arrivals, which I understand. Please let us know your thoughts. We would like to join though I do not expect all to accept us since many have finished and ordered items. But we would still like to participate some. It was a big part of our last cruise for DS1. But if the ruling is no, I guess that what happens when you add on later. DS1 does not know about the trip. We will see if I can keep it from him for some 65 days. Sounds so close; but yet so far.

I realize we are late arrival but I have enjoyed reading many of the posts. I hope to nudge my way in some. I tend to be a bit of a lurker and post occasionally and when school starts on August 24 I will be even busier. But it will all be fun. After all we will be on Disney

I finally booked our hotel for the night before the cruise. We are staying at the Country Inn and Suites. The Radission parking package was only going to give two of us breakfast but CI&S is going to feed all four of us

Wed and Thursday nights we will be at Coronado Springs. We're going to MK on Wed for Lila's b-day (though she may change her mind about which park again - lol) then Thursday we are going to a water park - not sure which one.

Although the group decided on a cut off for the FE swap, anyone with a FE can feel free to give their cabin info. I know that I have not yet purchased my items (not crafty). I am happy to still deliver items to those that didn't make the cutoff. Those that already ordered or finished making their items may not get to you, but there will probably be plenty of us that it doesn't mess up or inconvenience... Just my 2 cents.

Sounds like there will be a bunch of us at CI&S the night before! I'll see you all at breakfast.

Welcome familyfun5! We are a family of 5 too...did you get two staterooms or a cat. 4? Just curious. I would say there are about 10 or so people (that I can remember) that are making FE gifts and have already ordered their stuff from online. So I'm pretty sure they wont be able to include you. But as far as those that haven't finished yet I'm sure most would be willing to include you. (Also, just my 2 cents worth)

Lisa, our last trip to WDW we stayed at Coronado Springs. We loved that resort! This time we will be at Port Oreleans Riverside. (it's the only moderate that will accomadate a family of 5). If you haven't stayed there before you will love it!

Tess, we got our MNSSHP tickets last week and we ordered them 2/3 weeks ago. You should be getting yours any day now! The kids are already calling which ticket is "theirs", because they sent 5 different colors with 5 different characters on the tickets. They are the hard credit card type. Last time we went they were the paper ones, but we picked up our tickets at our hotel that time too.

Mindi, I thought Palo (at least for dinner) was jacket and tie, but I could be wrong.

Mindi, there was a cruise I sent our things out to be pressed, but they did not arrive in time for dinner. My husband went to Palo in just nice slacks and a button-down shirt, no jacket or tie. We did feel a little underdressed, but they let us in. If your husband is comfortable without a jacket, they will not turn him away.

Familyfun5----ok I will way in with my 2 cents. Since we gave a cut off I will say that U will prolly have to keep track of who you are trading with cause not everyone will have the ability to trade at this point. I am fine letting ur family participate since it is only a week after our cut-off but I really think as we make our way into August that we just have to say NO...that was the reason for the cut off! You can all do what ya want but I don't mean it to sound bad it's just that makes the ones who dont have enough stuff to welcome the new people feel real bad they can't do it!! I will need some info from you like names and ages, stateroom #, and dining. For my FE I will also need boys fav sports teams...ok so the baby doesn't count......the sooner the info the better...=)

I am hoping I have no problem getting my MNSSHP at the end of August!! I really wanna go. I have loved looking at the navigators, however I have not found times when all 4 kids will be in the club/nursery. Unless of course Sydney clicks with her friends she's been writing and they hang together! I hope they do....makes lasting memories and sometimes life long distance friends! Well I have to go fold laundry and make dinner...not rest for the weary cause I am a working woman now...LOL

So, the night that we paid off the cruise (weekend before our 90 day mark) we went ahead and arranged for our rooms prior to the cruise. We chose Radisson at the Port, having heard good things about them and liking the free shuttle to both KSC (our Friday destination) and the port. We booked a "Hot Deal" that has a penalty for cancelling, for about $206 for each room (2 night total).

Of course, as is usually the case when booking something with penalties, we noticed that the Radisson has a "KSC Package" for 2 nights that includes tickets. We figured we couldn't do anything about it, so why gnash our teeth, right?

Well, today, I looked a bit closer at the prices. We are set for $206 for a room for 2 nights. Tickets to KSC cost $38 each, so that's another $80, totalling $286 (approx). The KSC package offers 2 nights, shuttles AND 2 tickets to KSC for $234. That's a considerable savings!

So, I called the Radisson, hoping for a miracle , and talked to a very nice man named Sherrod, who is allowing me to make the KSC ressies. I have to make them online, because they can't pull up that promo code and alter the existing reservation. But, now that I've made the reservations, I get to call him tomorrow and he'll cancel the other reservations (the "penalty" reservations) with no penalty! I appreciate this, because if they decided not to be flexible, they could say "too bad so sad" but they understand what I was trying to do, which was not cancel, but transfer. I'm spending a little bit more and have very warm fuzzy feelings for Radisson right now!

Cross your fingers that there are no problems tomorrow! I'm even willing to have him make the reservation a "penalty" ressie (transferring what we agreed to on the first one).

Heather, it sounds like it's all going to work out, but food for thought...if you write your congressman (or maybe it's senator) they can get you free tickets for KSC. At least it works that way in California, that's how Terri (Minfan55) got her tickets. So I'm assuming it's the same in other states. But it sounds like Raddison is going to help you out.

Well, I spent the afternoon at the dentist office and apparently I need some remodeling done inside my mouth. $$$

Well we've changed our pre-cruise plans.

On Wed we are going to Epcot and Thurs we are going to MNSSHP! Is anyone else going Thursday or is everyone going Friday?

Any great costume ideas? 4 adults 1 8yr old girl. (Mike is going to WDW with us and then going home on Friday when we head to the port since he can't go on the cruise)

Have a great weekend everyone. We are head to Blizzard Beach this morning, then Epcot and MK EMH. Spending the night at Coronado Springs (our favorite WDW hotel!)

Lisa....I didn't know Mike wasn't going with us?????? As for the MNSSHP....Andrea has her tickets for thurs and I have to get mine and someone else(dangit brain fart) is going too! Sorry I forgot.....this workng girls mind is going to moosh....LOL As for dressing up ideas.....do you wanna go Disney costumes for sure?????? Otherwise u could do the flintsones or scooby doo....=) We aren't dressing...the Fe's have taken up luggage space so no room for Halloween costumes. We are just making MNSSHP shirts to wear! I just hope there are tickets left when I buy them.

Andrea---I excited that the MNSSHP tickets are hard tickets.... if they don't take the ticket from you mine will love playing with them at home....they pretend they are cruising ALOT!!!! My house has little luggage for them and their AG dolls everywhere...man they overpack...I wonder where they got that from!

Well off to work....Grandpa has to take the girls to golf lessons today(hmm I wonder how that will go..LOL) and I have to pack them lunch....Sydney golfs and Nelia eats while her lessons are and then visa versa. TTFN

You know what I love? I love coming on here and seeing everyone with tickers the same as mine (I have one on Passporter, haven't put one up here yet). It's such fun seeing that everyone is waiting for the same things, knowing that we are all getting excited.

This morning, I saw it said 2 months 2 days. But, since that's counting from the cruise, I was able to shorten that and today is 2 months from when we leave on vacation! Wow, it's coming up quick....

Andrea, I am sorry to hear about the dentist, just think about how great you will feel after everything is done.
Lisa, we will be at MNSSHP on Thursday. We are going as pirates to get double duty out of our costumes.
Has anyone heard anything about FL resident rates for our dates? I see September dates are out, but I am getting anxious for the October dates. Does anyone know when they usually come out?

Hi everyone! We're almost home. We're in Connecticut tonight. Tomorrow we will drive the rest of the way home. There is a small part of me ready to be home but a large part of me so wanting not to go home. I'm sure you all feel the same way. Sounds like lots has been going on here. Welcome to our newest member. I agree that many of the people making gifts need to do the cut off date but since I'm not one of them, I'll be sure to add you to my list. It's cool that my little one (15 months at cruise time) isn't the only baby in this group.

Well, not much to report here. For those of you waiting for pictures, they are on my husband's facebook account. I know Michelle asked him to be her friend. I'll be home tomorrow and will take the time to copy some of the pics to my account. If you don't wanna wait, ask him to be your friend (Richard Foster, not Richard A Foster).

Work went well this week, but ask me next week after I am up to my ears in EMR and PAQ.....Arrghghhgh That's Electronic medical records...another words no more paper charts and I have to put them all in the computer...woohoo!! Owell...even on bad days I will be thinking Disney money Disney Money !!!! and then when we get home from the cruise I will be thinking next cruise next cruise!!!!

well off to fold laundry so tomorrow all I have is all the 3 beds of bedding and then to dad's retirement party for 5 hrs! TTFN

HI ALL!! YAY! I ordered my FE items tonight! So excited.

I am not sure if I mentioned our pre cruise plans before. My fam is heading down in two groups, DD and I first (since she is out of school on cycle break and I am in disney WITHDRAWAL) ..., we fly down on Tuesday night. Then we get almost two full girl days: one in parks, one at our resort/DTD (trying Bibbidi BB for the first time).

Then DH and DS are flying down on Thursday evening and meeting us for a late dinner at Cal Grill! (I will send my Halloween wishes down to the rest of you that will be at MNSSHP)...Then family day on Friday (MNSSHP that night) ...quick bfast before we leave for the cruise in the morning.

I am so excited for the whole trip. I have started seeing the dates I will be gone come up a bit at work...like...i am going to be gone for an audit (TG).

Made car reservations too tonight...Budget Car Rental, hope the transfer at the port is easy...been a busy laptop girl...
