Hey All, Michelle I know your going to kill me because I said I wouldnt change my room number but I did it again. My room is now 5135. That is the same number as my house, so I just had to have it. Can you make that change and I promise I wont change it again:worship:

Gena~are you definatley taking the town car service? How many ppl does that car hold. My family didnt book the transfers so we are trying to find the cheapest way to get to port. If someone wants to share a ride we could always split the fare to the port. I am still researching what the best deal is. Just throwing it out there.

Well, gotta go get ready for bed. I am exhausted!!! Goodnite all!!!:goodvibes

Good Morning, Everyone,

If we were going to arrive on the 2nd, I'd be leaving the hotel at 7 to win the race to the port :). Since we are not flying in until the morning of the 3rd, I'll say this....Good luck to everyone in the race.

Norma, where will you be the morning of the 3rd? Our flight from Atlanta is due to arrive just before 10. I'll be happy to work with you on sharing transportation. Send me a pm and we'll go from there.

It has been a great weekend here. I've loved having all the kids here.

I'd better go and finish getting ready for church. I'm teaching Bible class this morning (18 months up to 3 yrs), so I need to be there early. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

Gena

Corinna,
Since the job is part time it would work out perfect.,Harder in the summer but definately awesome in the school year. Thank god I have my mom & dad to help since Del works at the same time. We'll see.

Good Morning all.

Kristi - What a wonderful surprise to have your mom there!

Michelle - Good luck with the interview!

Corinna - We are really wanted to do a dolphin excursion too. I was looking into the one in Cozumel. Do you think Grand Cayman would be a better choice?

We went to the Broadway production of Lion King last night in Sacramento. It was absolutely wonderful. It was Amaya's first time seeing a production like that and she was in awe...really enjoyed it.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend.

Terri

Good Morning!! Today Nelia goes to Safety Town--I know some of you maybe dont have safety town, but here in northern Ohio it's a right of passage...LOL She goes to the school she will attend in the fall and the police officers come and teach safety the , whole week. From Fire, stranger, street safety and so on. She has been excited but last night she started asking tons of questions which i know means she's nervous!

Thanks Terri for the luck for my interview tomorrow.....I hope it helps..LOL

Well for us CC members we only have till July 4th and we can make our ressie's!! Ok I am not making any but excited to register the girls for the club cause that just means we are getting so much closer!!!

Man, I leave for 3 days and you guys all go Rambo on me :rotfl2:. OK, in actuality, most of you will probably beat me to the port, but it wont be on lack of effort on my part. It will be my three west coast time zone children that will hold me back. :rotfl: Does Disney frown apon people checking their kids in in their pj's?

Happy 1st Birthday Katelin!!:cheer2:
Kristi, I'm glad your mom was able to make it for Katelin's birthday, that's so exciting!
Sounds like everyone had a busy weekend! Our trip to Burney Falls was nice! The weather was perfect, not too hot or cold.
Michelle, good luck with your interview! I'm sure you'll do great. I thought about trying to get a part time job over the summer, but decided we have too many travel plans scheduled. The girls and I are going to Huntington Beach next week and then we will be headed to Boston in July to visit Tommy, Laura and Jason :cool1:
Well, I hope everyone has a great day, especially Katelin :thumbsup2
Andrea
(The one who's going to beat everyone to the port :rotfl:)

Hi Everyone

Not been on for a wee bit can't beleive the amount of posts there have been. Welcome to all the newbies. I'm new as well but this thread is great everyone is so willing to help with tips and ideas.

Michelle we have decided to leave the FE and SM this time as a bit unsure of what to get for them and it might get a bit pricey.

We are in stateroom 6008 and are at main dining the lady on the phone said 6.00 pm. take it they stagger the dining. Still have to go out and get something for the formal night do I need to be really dressed up is it really fancy.

Corrina the jewellery you have had made is lovely. When do you fly in to Orlando we get in on the Friday.
Terri thanks for looking in to the dolphin excursion I found there website the royal swim looks great but what would happen if we book it then don't port there because of swine flu.

Are your kids off school now for the summer break. Our schools don't finish until the 2nd July then back in mid August. There goes the peace and quiet.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Well off for some supper now speak to you all soon.

Judith

Judith, I wish we had your school schedule. Ours got out June 11th and go back Aug 31st. I would love ur schedule...they get brain dumb here because they go like 2 1/2 months for summer break!

Thanks for the info on ur stateroom and dining. Surprised the CM told u 6pm, usually they dont know that till day we check in at port. We are hoping for 6pm rotation! Yes usually formal night is formal...I am wearing a gown that was a bridesmaid evening gown in a wedding. I never gone on the wonder but the magic is formal!
I think for the dolphin one if Disney will send them a fax they should refund ur money for the ship not showing. Do live chat with the place and ask and then document it for your safety.

Ok well off to update the web and then hang with the girls. TTFN

OKay so Is anyone else taking their kid out of school for the week. I'm really starting to feel bad about doing this. Andrea tells me that it hapens all the time. I just need some reassurance.....:confused3

LAURA, I am taking both the girls out. I have done it twice before and u just have to be on top of things. Sydney usually gets all her homework done on the airplane and then the daily reading she does while we are getting ready in the morning or for dinner. Depends how much homework the teacher will give you to take and do. Dont worry much, doing it now while they are young is easier!

Hi all

Michelle how do you manage with the length of that holiday. We complain over here about the kids being off for six weeks never mind 2 1/2 months. Do they have any other holidays. Ashleigh is off on holiday for 2 weeks in October the weeks we are in Florida. I will only have to take her out for 2 days this time she was out for 2 weeks last year when we were away then had 2 weeks normal holidays lucky her. Our schools give them another 2 weeks at christmas then again at easter and odd days here and there.

Thanks for the advice on formal night you will spot me that night I will be the one that falls over with high heels on and trips on the dress then rips it lol. I love my comfy clothes.

I keep my fingers crossed for you. What kind of job is it your going for?

Good Morning all.

Well, I was looking into Grand Cayman as there is nothing that I would want to do there otherwise and the facility is newer than either of the ones in Cozumel. I had a good read through the description for the shore excursions on the DCL website and realised that I would actually prefer the Push, Pull and Swim and that is only offered at Cozumel. So I am back to square one. Well, I suppose I have just over two days to make up my mind.

We fly on the Wednesday (30th September) and will stay at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Airport for 3 nights. We stayed there the night before our cruise last year and loved it. We intend to spend one day shopping at the Florida Mall and the second day, DH will probably go bird watching and I head for Seaworld. We are hoping to be on the first DCL bus from the airport.

Since the beginning of May, they have no longer had the staggered dining on the Magic. They now have one early and one late seating and if I remember correctly, they are 6 and 8:15. They have been doing this on the Wonder for some time.

I have just filled out the payment form for my final payment. Now I am just waiting for the confirmation email from DU. Then I am all set for a early start Saturday morning (5 am UK time) when I can make my reservations.

Regards
Corinna

Corinna, you must be so excited being so close to booking your stuff! It looks like we will be leaving home on the the 30th, but we wont be arriving until the 1st. I think we are going to shoot for the red-eye Wed. night. I just am not sure if we are going to go through ORD or IAD (Chicago or DC).

Judith, don't worry too much over formal night. I've seen a wide range of peoples definition of "formal"! There's everything from cotton summer dresses to floor length ball gowns, and everything in between. Our kids have similar schedule to yours. They have 8 weeks off for summer, fall break (the week we are going), a week for Thanksgiving, two for Chirstmas, and this year will be the first year they are doing two weeks for spring break in March, they have to go back a week early after the summer to make up for the extra week for spring break.

Well, my goal for this week is to figure out our rental car situation since we switched hotels and are coming in a day earlier. I dont want to loose the really good rate I got for Friday (I got a full size for $29). So we'll have to see what I can manage...
Hope everyone has a great day!
Andrea

Corinna, Seems you were right(though I never doubted you) LOL Austin at Disney Cruise line actally said yes there is only one main now(5:45) and one Late(8:15) So I wanted to make sure I changed my request of 6pm dining to formal night at Lumi's. So seems we will eat same times on Main or those on late but have different rotations.
SO Andrea if Ryan wants to challange Del to who can eat the most lobsters then request formal in Lumi's LOL

Well tomorrow Sydney goes to get her molds made and facial pics done for her braces....by by $400!!! OMG that could be an excursion and MNSSHP....ok so pretty teeth are worth giving up that stuff!

Off to do some laundry...TTFN

I am excited. I even changed my shift for Saturday as I was supposed to start work at 7:30 AM, which would mean leaving the house at 5:30 AM and not enough time to make my reservations. Now I am starting to work at 1 PM which means I can make my reservations in peace and then go back to bed for a couple of hours.

When I came back from town, I had a confirmation email from DU to say that I am officially paid in full and my reservation details on the DU website says the same. Now I just have to hope that the DCL system is also showing me as paid in full.

As to formal night, when I was on the Magic last year there was a family sat on the table next to ours that turned up in denim outfits that looked like they had been in the washing machine once too often. Nobody challenged them about it.

I am on the evening gown end of the spectrum. I love to dress up. DH not so much. He wears a pair of chinos, a dress shirt, a vest and a Disney tie for formal night.

Just wear what is comfortable for you and what you are happy with.

Corinna, Seems you were right(though I never doubted you) LOL Austin at Disney Cruise line actally said yes there is only one main now(5:45) and one Late(8:15) So I wanted to make sure I changed my request of 6pm dining to formal night at Lumi's. I think I have to be bearer of more bad news. The Til We Meet Again and Captain's Gala Menus have apparently been retired with effect of last weekend. As the lobster was on the Captain's Gala Menu, there is no telling if lobster will still be available as we know it. One of the rotational menus features Lobster Macaroni Cheese and people have suggested that this would be the lobster dish covered. We should find out for sure once people who are on this week's cruise will be back on Saturday.

Corinna

Oh if they go cheap and do Lobster Mac and cheese...huh no I want my Lobster...will not be happy if I can't have that...ok it's ok as long as my escargote doesn't leave. Sydney loves it and actually eats a few as her dinner!

I don't eat lobster or snails so for me it would not be a loss, but I agree if it becomes true that the only lobster available is the lobster macaroni cheese, then that would be a real blow for those that like it.

Corinna

We have been totally crazy latley. Just finished catching up on everything after a long time of not even being able to check in. Welcome to all the new comers. it wont be long till we leave. We will be doing FE, but no SM.

Mindi-we need to get together for lunch one day, it is bad the only time we see eachother is on the boat, and we work a floor away from eachother:)

Gena- Of course we have not told the kids yet, but i know they will be excited to be neighbors..

talk to you all soon

Kim

Well I sure hope they dont get rid of Lobster tail....<sigh>

Kim---thanks for your info. However I am missing an important detail...ur Dh's name? hehe he might want to feel included...LOL

I will be listing a full FE and SM list and if someone is on or isn't on then ya'll can just let me know. Well off to compile the list. TTFN

Hey Michelle (and everyone)! Great job at getting the list together and again, I can't stress enough how grateful I am that you took on the huge responsibility of keeping us all together. :)

Like everyone else, life is busy. Lilli goes to day camp Monday thru Friday and Katelin continues at her childcare place. The girls spend lots of time outside running around and Lilli is constantly doing crafts and planning for "field trips". By the time they both get home, they have enough energy to have dinner and then they zonk out on us. :)

As usual I've got lots to do for the cruise. I won't be able to financially deal with them til the end of summer so I'm sure I'll be doing some stuff at the last minute but that's life. :) We have to go with the flow. :)

Well, the bossman left for the day not feeling well so I'm here chillin. Just finished rearranging files, closing old files and redoing labels for the drawers. Woo Hoo, what fun. Heee Heee I'm heading out a little earlier than norm so I can pick the girls up from childcare.

Nothing new to report. Thanks for the well wishes for Katelin. :) She had a great birthday. Here are a couple of pics for your enjoyment.
