Hey Everyone,

Michelle, thanks again for all of the work on the list. It is greatly appreciated and is definitely helpful for us all :).

I received a shock today. This weekend, DH went to the walk-in clinic and they thought he was having an allergic reaction to shellfish. He went today to an allergy specialist. After being stuck 60 times, he is basically allergic to all grasses, all hardwood trees and mold. He was also told he has asthma. Needless to say, I am in a bit of shock. He has suffered from allergies for a while, but this was not expected. Thankfully, this is something that I know can be treated. I just never expected this. On top of this, my mother may have an infectioon in her knee, where they did a knee replacement a couple of years ago (this is a long story itself). They may have to go in and take her knee out and leave it out for 6 weeks to get rid of the infection. They had to do this once before. PLEASE remember her and my husband in your prayers.

I've been busy this week getting my room ready for school to start. Patrick started band camp and is loving it. Payton has been helping me at school and has really worked hard. He even put together a bookcase today by himself. He definitely wants to earn some $$.

Hope everyone has a good Thursday. Off to the dentist for my 6 month check-up and then volunteering at band camp in the afternoon.

Gena....Good Luck with all ur medical issues. I too am allergic to grass. and boy is that miserable especially when spring hits, though this summer has been awful. I end up running my air even when it's cooler out cause when people mow it makes its way into ur house...miserable!! So good luck with all that.

Nothing else much new. Sydney has 9 yr old check up today! Today I went through my FE stuff....Hmm To much to pack!!!! Is everyone making seperate gifts per adult? I made a baggie for each couple and then my homemade gift...I am wondering if thats enough! Arrghhh....this FE things is stressin me....=(

Just back from Sandusky. Had a great time at Cedar Point & Kalahari.

I put a bid into Priceline today for $50 for 2.5* in Cape Canaveral. It was accepted and we got Country Inn & Suites - $50 +tax/fee = $63.25 including breakfast!!! Thought I'd share in case anyone else was looking for a room the night before. We stayed there last cruise and thought it was good.

Glad ya had fun at CP...and Kalahari! Hasn't been good weather around here so Kalahari was prolly really nice one of the days and comfy weather for CP instead of really hot like normal! Nice Deal! I would go there but we got govt discount at Residence Inn and we need the space for all of us...!

BTW Corinna--U weren't supposed to see that on the FE thread!:rolleyes1
Hey when u guys have cruised before, do people put their names on their FE's or just put them in the fish extender and its a guessing game?
O well!

Hi

First of all I would like to say thanks to Michelle don't know how you can keep up with all the details for the FE and SM well done.

Have been really busy at work so just catching up with what has been happening.

Sorry to hear about your losses its almost seven years since I lost my Dad its not easy.

Welcome to all the newbies this board is great for help with the cruise.

Gena I know how you feel my daughter (Louise 19 not going on the cruise) is allergic to everything and has had asthma since she was 1. My husband has it as well but not so many allergies. My mum got her hip replaced 2 years ago it was fine then got her knee done in Nov last year it got infected but luckly the anti biotics she got worked although made her really ill she lost about 2 stones I said it was because she has so much plastic in her body.

We were away last weekend to see High School Musical on stage in Edinburgh Ashleigh loved it.

Made a huge mistake by showing hubby the disney excursion page he picked nine different ones until I told him no. In the end we agreed on

Key West Glass bottom boat ride
Grand Cayman Dolphin Swim
Cozumel eco park and snorkel
Castaway Cay Water Ski

Not telling Ashleigh about the dolphins and the jet ski said to her it was fully booked thought it would be a surprise for her.

Could only book Palo for dinner on Key West day at 7.30pm hope this does n't clash with anything else maybe someone can let me know if it does.

Managed to get a dress for Ashleigh for formal night I think. Needs shortened a bit though. Still nothing for me or hubby trying to get him to wear a kilt but have to work on him a bit more.

Off to have some dinner hope everyone is well and catch up with you all again soon.

Carol - What time is your Dolphin Swim? Ours is at 10:45.

Andrea - Do you want me to go over and check out the costumes?:rotfl: I talked to Joe last night, he's thinking of having the first practice/meeting next Wednesday. The other girl not on the team is Alexis, but Alexa from school is on their team. She was over yesterday and very happy when she found out she'd be with Riley and Amaya. Come back...I miss you guys.

Terri

Terri - We are at 10:45 as well!!!!:banana:

I think mine is 10:45 as well, but for some reason the DCL website does not load for me at the moment. It keeps defaulting to the UK WDW website. Are you doing the Push, Pull and Swim?

You probably already found this out but the IMAX 3D version of HP doesn't come out until July 29. When the studio bumped HP last fall the IMAXs were already contracted for Transformers 2 so they have to wait 2 weeks to release that version.

That was probably way more info then you needed (or wanted -lol) to know :)

That might be the case in the USA, but not in the UK. Here they showed the IMAX 3D version as of day one. Having said that, calling it 3D is a bit of a con. Only the first 12 minutes were actually in 3D. We really enjoyed it though.

O well!

I have the nasty habit seeing things that I am not meant to. Former teacher, you know ;)

I have not decided yet if I will put the name on the things that I will actually put in the Fish Extender. It probably depends how much stress I have just before the cruise.

We've gotten both with and without names.

Oops - forgot you weren't in the US.

Good to know about the first 12 minutes. Do you take the glasses off for the rest of the movie then?

How is everyone? I am trying to get consignment sale stuff tagged so I can have some spending money for the cruise. Each season we have kids consignment sales. That's where I get my spending money for vacation but I hate the sorting and tagging!

Corinna - yes, we are doing the push, pull and swim. I can't wait, I just hope Amaya doesn't chicken out at the last minute. She better not...at that price. No she's excited too so I'm sure she'll be fine.

Up early this morning to head to the gym. Again, I ask why is it so easy to put on and so hard to take off?

I need to start planning our excursions but I just haven't had the time. I think I know what we want to do but just have to sit down and finalize.

Is anyone doing a hotel beach break in Cozumel?

Yes, you do. At the end of the 3D part, little red icons flashed up at the bottom of the screen, which indicated that you should take off the glasses. Before the film, they showed the 3D trailer for A Christmas Carol. We are definitely going to see this when it comes out in November.

I know that I was really nervous before my first dolphin swim. This was something I was desperate to do, but when the time came and I was about to step into the dolphin lagoon, I started to wonder if this was such a good idea. Any doubts I had were forgotten once Dash swam up to us. It was an absolutely amazing experience. Dash now lives across the road at Seaworld and she will always have a special place in my heart.

Yesterday, the main component for the main FE gift arrived and I am absolutely thrilled with it. There is only one little part I have to order for this and then I can start putting it together.

I think I finally have a pirate costume sorted out as well. I really wanted to get dressed up properly on Pirate Night this time round and with the two Transatlantic cruises coming up as well, it made sense to get organized. I have been looking everywhere for plus sized pirate costumes, but the ones that I found were all too revealing for my taste. Well, I think I might just have found the solution. While out shopping on Wednesday, I found a nice pink maxi skirt on the sales rack and an indigo gypsy top as well. This instantly screamed "Pirate" to me. When I got home, I had a look on Ebay and managed to get a silver and black corset at a very good price. I intend to wear this over the gypsy top. Now I just need a head scarf, a triangular piece of fabric or lace to tie round my waist and a few accessories and the pirate wench should be complete. I suppose it is a bit of a modern twist on the pirate theme, but I am sure it will do nicely. Now I just have to make up my mind if I want to do MNSSHP. I suppose as I am bringing the costume anyway, it will make sense.

Hi all. Sounds like everyone is doing well and getting lots of cruise stuff done. I'm on vacation as I type this. My family is in New Hampshire at the Mittersill Ski Resort. Yes I know there is no snow here so there is no skiing. LOL My inlaws gave us their timeshare for the week. It was a nice drive up and for those of you on facebook you can see some pics. We hadn't even gotten to the resort when I screamed "MOOSE". We got some great pics of a beautiful moose. Then, after we got settled here, Richard took Lil outside and, with their binoculars they saw a momma bear with her cub. Very cool. Well, I'm off to bed. Take care and we'll check in a little later in the week. Kristi

Good MOrning all! I am so jealous of you guys who are doing the swim! We were gonna do the encounter cause Nelia(5) isn't old enough to do the swim, then decided we'd do MNSSHP (for the 2nd time) and wait till Nelia is old enough for the Swim. Though I wish we were doing the dolphin thing.

Kristi---hope you are having a blast on vacation. I bet Lilli is loving seeing the wildlife! really cool!

Well I was thinking I didn't like my goodie bag for the adults(though you are all getting them...LOL ) But I found something fairly easy to do that I think is cool that I am gonna do this weekend! Woohoo! So close to being done! I wish I got free luggage cause luggage is gonna cost me a fortune! Arrgghhh....one suitcase just for Fe's and the gift bags I make for the kids that they think Mickey leaves! Owell eventually they will get older and won't be as excited to see what Mickey leaves them!!

well off to the store to work on FE gift and then to Sams club! TTFN

I'm so jealous of all of you guys going to MNSSHP! My MIL and her brother want to go to KSC and we got free tickets so that's where we will be on Friday. But I'll see you all Saturday morning...or Friday night at the pool for those of you staying at Residence Inn...can't wait!!!

We're going to Reno in the morning to meet some friends so wish me luck at the BlackJack tables...if I win I'll treat you all to a DOTD (is that the right acronym?)

Terri

Just a little FYI-----I have found A trip report from July 2009 western, so the DIS member is posting the navigators so I am putting them on our web page....right now I am almost finished with DAY 1. which consists of like 12 pages, cause they put in the theater schedule, specials on alcohol, things like that....Anyhow I hope this helps all of ya with any planning or when you would like to do something that the kids have to go to the clubs for. TTFN

all loaded now like 12-14 pages of it. It is the page after the family photos pg5

Would love to trade school schedules..My kids don't go back till Aug 31st!!! Although that is my 30 day mark till I leave for the cruise date...LOL :yay: Today I go back into the work force(well I have been working just at home =) ) My hours are awesome for school time cause if the girls have to be in school then I might as well be working and I will work from 9-3 m-f. They go to school from 8:45-3:55...those are new hours this year because of some crazy thing Govn Strickland wants to extend the school yr so I guess our school system thought they would just extend the day instead...I think it's a bad idea. By 3pm those kids are spent. I would rather have a schedule like a lot of u seem to have. Only like 6 wks off in the summer and a fall break or something, well no-one cares what I think...lol Gosh I am gonna miss my girls today! :guilty: I hate that I have leave them in the summer....they are soo precious and I hope I don't cry on my first day of work. I hope you all have a great day!
