Gena, I will say a prayer for your mom and family! I hope it all works out.

I'm starting to wonder who is going to want to buy any of our junk. :confused3 I'm sure we'll get some takers, but my gosh we have a lot of junk! I figure I would be getting rid of it anyway, so maybe I'll make a few bucks?

Well, I got my birthday present from Ryan last night. He had ordered it a week before my birthday and it didn't come in time and then I was in Mass. for a week. Anyway, he did good...I got Disney flatware. Stainless steel, with a Mickey head cut out of the bottom of each piece. He got me two sets. :thumbsup2 I think he is starting to figure it out (finally!) For those of you that were around this time last year you might remember that he got me personalized lisence plates (DISYFAM). I knew he could be trained, just took lots of time. :lmao:

Heather, I feel your pain. My oldest is now 15 and I remember all too well when that time came. I remember she came up to me and said "Mom I need to wear deoderant" she was 9 and I laughed and said "no you don't" she said "mom, smell" so I did and we went straight to Target...a little time later she said mom I need to shave my armpits (we had decided that she could shave when she got to middle school, which is 6th grade for us)she was in 5th grade at the time, I said "no you don't" she said "mom look", we went straight to Target...again. It all happens so fast and beware, it's one thing right after the next.

Ok I have been off the computer for a few days, but this topic I feel is about to hit my household to. My oldest turns 10 on Thursday. I do my occasional sniff, but nothing yet I am so glad. She has a few friends that have already gone through it all even the cycle at 10. We went for her check up and the doctor said she is at least a good year or two from that . Hopefully she is right.

At her check up they gave her the shots she needed and also asked if we wanted to do the HPV shot. Has anyone done this shot for their daughters? Any side effects or problems. The internet is a scary place, so I come to you guys for your advice, opinions, etc.

I'll follow my pediatrician's advice on this one, but if he says it's a good choice to do it, then I will do it. I'm not as worried about immunizations as some people are. So far, my kids have reacted well to every one they've been given (though DD's Chicken Pox Vaccine didn't "take" - we found out when we had a CP scare - did you know that only about 50% of them actually end up making you immune?).

34 u are right Mindi!!

Jennifer---AS for the shot, next summer when she turns 10.. Sydney is getting the 1st dose! I believe that just like any other vaccine , I am protecting my girls from a disease later. I wouldn't compare Chicken pox to ovarian/cervical cancer. Te Chicken pox more then likely wont kill them where cancer will. And as for doing it at 10, do I believe Sydney will need the shot that young, well NO, but one not just vaccinate before the possibility is even close. Ok I said my peace...LOL

Quick question, does anyone know which website has deckplans that show how many people can go in each stateroom? Some rooms have pull downs and some don't. Also, my mom is in a Cat 10 and on the disney cruise line website it looks like another Cat 10 is open that would be closer to us. Is there a fee to change room locations?

I have sent my travel agent an email but I figured I'd check here too! Good night.

My Passporter lists that. If you don't have one, PM me the room number and I'll look it up for you (if your TA hasn't responded yet).

Mindi, There is no charge to switch rooms within the same category. We actually just did it. When I got the airline discount I had to cancel our original ressie and then book through Disney, so we had to take what they had open. I watched the website like a hawk and as soon as our original rooms went back into the system I called Disney and switched our rooms back to our original ones.
Jennifer, here is my two cents, take it or leave it...:thumbsup2 Ashley is 15 and I chose not to to the shot. I'm not a big fan of "new" things. I just don't like not knowing the "long term" affects. If you look into it there have been cases of deaths reported, as well as paralysis(although very rare) and other lesser side effects. The shot only protects against four of the 30 types of HPV, so getting the shot does not guarantee she wont get it. What it protects against is genital warts and cervical cancer, which are both very treatable if caught early. I actually had cervical cancer when I was 22. It was caught very early and easily treated and it hasn't come back since. That being said (OK it was probably a little more than 2 cents worth) it is a personal decision and each person has to look at the facts and make their own choice for their daughters...:thumbsup2

OK, back to cruise talk...our countdown chain is getting amazingly shorter! We got to rip off a whole weeks worth of chains when we got back from my brothers. It's funny though, the part of the chain I'm pulling down now is very dusty, well it's been up there for almost a year and a half. :rolleyes1

Michelle, how is work going? How are the girls doing with you being a working woman? When are you going to get your MNSSHP tickets? I was reading a thread about the party the other day and I don't think you'll have to worry about that night selling out before you can get them. People were saying for September and early October you could still get them most of the night right up to the day of the party. ;) I know there is someone else planning on going on the 1st, do you remember who it is?

Well, I hope everyone has a great day!

We are doing MNSSHP Oct. 1st, and bought our tickets a little over a week ago (but they have not come in yet). Our TA said there were pleanty of tickets left.
Has anyone done the jet ski on CC? My husband brought it up the other day, and I can't find anything about it on Disney's website. Do you think it has been discontinued, or am I just missing something?
I hope you all are having a great week!

I found a lady on here who makes custom pillowcases and they are adorable. Her time frame for making them for Oct cruises is near cut-off but she said she would do it for me and it's only around $17. Her name is atinkerbellmom. Look her thread up. Thought they might be a cool idea for the kiddos.

Our cruise is just around the corner :cool1: Soccer starts tonight for Riley and tomorrow for Ashley, we haven't heard from Baileys coach yet, so I don't know when she is going to start. Once they are all three doing soccer the days are going to wiz by so fast. And the kids go back to school two weeks from tomorrow. :cool1:
