Oct. 29th 2006 Halloween anyone?

Here's a bump from me! :cool1:
we are gonna have a crappy rainy weekend....blach!!!

Hi, I will be sailing on the Wonder for Halloween and was referred to this thread when I asked a question about trick or treating for the kids. I'm sorry to say that I don't have the time to read 95 (wow!) pages of information. I was wondering if there would be any trick or treating cabin to cabin. I am trying to plan if I need to take candy and how much.

Oh, my other question is whether or not a Pirate Night will be on this cruise. Last year when we cruised the wonder, the Pirate Night was on the Castaway Cay day. This year, the Castaway Cay day happens to fall on Halloween. I would love it if anyone has any information as to whether or not they plan to move the Pirate Night. I will need a seperate suitcase just for costumes if I need to have one for Halloween AND Pirate Night (but I 'm not complaining because I would LOVE to be able to celebrate both on this cruise.)

ANY help would be appreciated as this trip seems to be fast approaching!

Don't know about pirate night but I see you are in Gaithesberg MD. We are in Baltimore. WELCOME!!!

Welcome to the thread. Yes we are having a dis Trick orTreat so far we have collected cabin #'s so I can create a map for the kids. we are bringing candy from home for the Kids. so far as I understand we will start at the cat 2 cabins and work up to the cat 8 and joining the disney tot. Please post your cabin # and I will add it to the list also the ages of your kids. So far we have 21 kids under 14.

Thanks for the welcome! We are really looking forward to this cruise! We are flying down (out of BWI) on the 26th, going to the MNSSHP in the parks on the 27th and then staying through the weekend at the parks after the cruise. We will be travelling with our DS who will be 12 at the time of sailing. We will be meeting close friends who will be travelling with their two girls aged 11 and 9. The kids are afraid that they will not get a chance to trick or treat because of being on the cruise for Halloween, so I wanted to set thier minds at ease if it is being done.

We have so much going on in our lives between now and the cruise that I am just stressing over the details (like whether we need costumes for both pirate night and Halloween).

We have late seating for dinner (as do our friends). It sounds like most of you have much younger children and will be on early seating? Will that be a problem with timing for trick or treating?

welcome to the board Vince. Where will you be staying the night before the cruise? A lot of us are staying at the Residence Inn and plan to meet that night. Other than that we are all meeting on deck 10....at ... ummmmm.... not sure what time.. someone help me here!!!!!!! There is more also.. let me look back and i will try to catch ya up....

I think it would be save to say if you started at page 75 and skimmed it you would find most of the info we have planned... doesnt everyone else agree?

We will be staying on WDW property at Old Key West both before and after the cruise. I have gone back and read the thread from page 75 or so. Wow, you sure sound like a fun group! I'm still a little worried about the trick or treating because we have late dinner. Any ideas on WHEN you might be doing the ToT?

Hi, the DIS meet is at 3pm on deck 10. Right before the safety drill.

I don't think we scheduled a time for the trick or treat because we are not sure what time Disney's Trick or treat is scheduled.

We have late seating, too. But are trying for early seating.

This is also a Pin trading cruise, so if your kids or you are interested, it is $45. You need to contact your TA or Disney directly.

Thank you for the tip about being a Pin Trading Cruise. That is actually why we are on this cruise. We booked last year on the Pin Trading Cruise. We are very much into the pin trading and collecting.

Does anyone know what time DCL's ToT will be? How are we going to arrange our ToT between early/late dining? :confused3

I am thinking maybe the dcl tot maybe in the afternoon. so then it will be easy. If not we can set ours for any time. maybe decide at the meet on the ship at 3:00 when we have a naviagator to look at.

Ok, can someone give me more details?

What will happen by DCL, and what will "we" the disboards do???

We would love to participate. There will be 5 rooms. Our stateroom says "guaranteed" so I may not know until we arrive.

Help!

Have you checked your reservation online? We booked guarenteed rooms and within a few days, we knew what our staterooms were.

at 3pm after boarding, we will have a DIS meet on deck 10. Here we will pass out a list of rooms for trick or treating.

DCL will have a trick or treat, but we want to have ours prior to Disney's.

Howdy all, How was everyones weekend???

Our last campout of the season was wonderful!! Was a bittersweet weekend!! I HATE the last campout of the year.. living in the midwest our swimming/camping seasons are TOO SHORT!! But were back, the camper has been washed and I now have to clean the inside and winterize it this week.

But now I can refocus on the Cruise!! All I can say is UNDER 2 month's???? And upon my arrival back home I was happy to see my Pass port waitting for me!! :cool1: So Its now offical I can go!! Like someone was going to stop me!! :smooth:
