Oct 29-Nov 7 2016: 2 Newbies and 2 Disney veterans chase a...Skeleton? Plus a 2013 F&W TR tossed in!

Can't help, but cabins with hot tubs and pool tables???? I'm

Exactly what I said! The one I'm looking at also has foose ball and a dart board!

::yes:: I'm telling you... Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge is definitely a tourist trap area, in a sense. But the cabins they have around there to stay in... WOW!

Yeah but it's not as high a dollar as some places are! Like Branson. Man you can spend some money is Branson with the sheer amount of arcade, laser tag, mini golf, etc places.

Is the cabin I'm currently in love with!!

2013 TR Day 2 part 3.

When I left off we had just finished an amazing dinner at The Wave. Where were we off to now?

Magic kingdom of course! We actually walked which we have never done before either. The hear had finally calmed down, and it was nice out.

Side note: I live in Louisiana... Where you can drown just breathing with the humidity and heat... The heat in Disney in late September/early October in 2013 was absolutely insane. We had all packed for warmer weather but also capris and jeans just in case. Never needed any of that. I think we all were wearing shorts an extra day because we hadn't planned accordingly for how hot it was! Even the shade was hot which was weird.

Alright back to MK!

(Realizing how terrible my phones pictures are!!)

Then we all sang along with "It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow". I think Ging fell asleep haha!

Then it was off to the new and improved Dumbo that we hadn't done! Nice improvement!

Haha she hates having her picture taken.. So I like catching her when I can!

Then it was on to watch my favorite show in the whole world! Wishes.. I just always takes the bad away. Makes me tear up usually :)))

We watched and listened from by Beast's Castle. We wandered the shops and finally headed into Storytime with Belle since it wasn't actually crowded.

I loved all the detail in the cottage and the whole show as a whole was very nicely done! Can't wait to take the DD's to see it next year!

Should I scare @pkondz with pictures of where we went next?? This one has been kinda low on pictures SOOO I think I'll share.

(You can look now pkondz... They are gone.. For now muwahaha)

Then it was off to drool over Johnny Depp... I mean "we wants the red head! We wants the red head!"... Whoops.. POTC! Yep that's where we went next!

(Does anyone else have issues when posting from their phone browser of it not wanting to let you paste more pictures in? Hence the cut short above and continuation here. Even with "previewing" and "refreshing" it would throw my curser up into the top of the post and not let me past)

There's that redhead!

By then it was park closing time. :( We headed up Main Street taking pictures as we went.

Anyone wanna guess tomorrow's park? I think the next few posts will be some of my favorites from our 2011 family trip. Alexa's first trip :))

I don't enjoy it overly much.

Please don't take offense but, well... I would have really liked to have seen you a bit better!

Makes me tear up usually :)

Not me! 'Cause I'm a MAN!

Of course Disney pumps cut onion fumes into the air and sometimes that affects me, but it's not my fault!

Should I scare @pkondz with pictures of where we went next??

No.

Nononononononono.....

This one has been kinda low on pictures SOOO I think I'll share.

I've never walked that either. That would be nice to do sometime. Preferably when staying in an MK view room at the Contemporary...

Good thing you guessed this as well!

Told y'all I was going to post some random pics from trips gone by. These were from December 2011. Alexa was a few days from being 3. Plus mom, me and my brother.

I still have not been on dis nearly enough. Had to come here though to say that you are in my thoughts all the time. I know this is a tough time. Know I am praying for you and your family.

And the pics from December... LOVE THEM.:thumbsup2

So I'm finally posting here. I think I was avoiding it. But my sweet grandfather passed away almost a month ago now. It was peaceful. Everyone had visited within the last 2-3 days. My aunt was the the nursing home. She left but turned around because it was pouring, deciding to spend a few more minutes with him. She called my grandmother and let her talk to him over the phone while he laid in the bed. She said he was making facial expressions like maybe he was hearing her. He took one more big almost relieved breath and just went to sleep and was gone. We could not have asked for a better passing for my grandfather.

Two weeks ago marked the 60th anniversary of him being shot in Tripoli. By one of his own platoon members. They were being shelled and he went a little crazy. My grandfather never blame him or thought ill toward him. He was a paraplegic and was told he would never walk again or have kids. When his wife at the time found out, she divorced him and took his corvette, all before he ever knew it happened. He was taken to Germany then to Atlanta for the long road to recovery.

Funny thing. He decided he was going to walk and have kids. He met my grandmother bowling of all things. For 45 years he walks with a leg brace, the. For about 8 with leg brace and cane. The last 7 or so he's been wheelchair bound because of a foot graph for a circulation surgery for his leg never healed right. He mowed everyone's grass to help repay the neighbors who helped with things he couldn't do.

He never complained. Not once. There were days you'd see him rubbing his ribs or his legs for phantom pains he couldn't stop. Needless to say he did have kids. 2 of them. 4 grandkids and now two greats. He taught all 4 of us grandkids how to ride a bike.

I will miss him, but I'm glad he's no longer in pain. I'm so thankful he got to meet the girls and Alexa has fond memories with him.

I'm sorry for your loss. It sounds like his passing was very peaceful.

Wow. Incredible story.

And sounds like he was incredible too.

Again, sorry for your loss, Ashley.

So sorry to hear about this. It sounds like he had a wonderful, full life, which is a blessing.

Well I'm back from my little hiatus. Life has been a little crazy.

We have official dates!!! We will be going from October 29th - November 7th 2016! Most likely staying All Star Sports!

What has kept me away? Well general life, but I've had a free burst of energy for disney since I am ....drum roll please... now officially a travel agent specializing in Disney. I'm super excited about this new chapter in my life. I am a part time outside agent while I'm getting my feet wet. Who knows what it may turn into!

Will be back shortly for a more thorough update on our tentative plans!

elcome back!! And congratulations on the new gig!

Thank you! I got the bug to apply places again last week after playing with spreadsheets for our trip. Figured what the heck, so I sent to out some feeler info. A local place here called me within the hour. She has one in house and one outside who specializes in Disney and wanted to get more into it. So I will be doing what disney I can and going out from there. I'm currently pricing a trip to Toronto for a coworker!

Congrats on getting dates set and the new job! If you can get paid to plan trips and talk Disney... well, why not do it?

Yay for setting the dates!

Yes yay! Ann and I had tentatively set them. For the 28th-6th her coming in on Tuesday. Then wine and dines race dates were released and it was the weekend we were already planning for. But avengers also came out for the same back to back weekend like she's doing this year. So she will be coming in Wednesday now. I did some numbers and math. And it actually makes more sense for us to arrive Saturday and drive all day instead of into the night cause we couldn't leave till at,least noon on Friday. Alexa misses really the same amount of school.

Hey! That's great! Congrats!

Thanks I'm excited!

Exactly my thoughts! And there aren't a ton of travel agent perks anymore, but let's just say the Disney ones aren't terrible if you can get the clientele!
