Oct 28, 2007, Halloween 4-night cruise on Wonder

Great website you created!!

So where are all our other fellow cruisers anyway? It seems like just a few of us have been on here lately.. Is everyone on vacation or something? We know there's more than just us cruising together!!

Minnie, we also have the early dining and so does Monique (we met on here and asked to be together for meals). My DD is old enough for the Oceaneers Club as well, but not DS.

so 4 kids so far...well, I am sure there will be more, maybe some people don't start looking at the boards quite so early. Hopefully the kids will meet in the club and friend along. DS is always making friends somewhere, but never knows their names. I have to sit down with him and look over the posted navigators to see where his interests are. He will turn 5 on board, so I see things in both the 3-4 and 5-7 grps he would like to do. I am sure he will go to the Aloha party the first night. He likes to dance !!
The websites and pics have been great. Really helping me to prepare.

so I am wondering how dressed up some of you ladies are planning on getting for the "formal" night? We haven't been on DCL since its first year, then you got dressed up the night you ate at Lumiere's. I believe now it is the second night on board? I have some trendy knit(with touch of spandex) type pants outfits (great for packing) and then i have a nicer pants outfit all black w/ some rhinestones. I don't know what to do?
How about DH? do I bring a suitcoat/jacket, shirt/tie, or is a nice golf shirt appropriate?
H-E-L-P !!!!

When we went on DCL for part of our Disneymoon, we did the 7 day one and formal night was very formal. The men wore tuxedos (or black suits) and the ladies got very dressed up. I don't know for sure, but I think the 4 day cruises are a bit less formal. Since I'll be 23 weeks PG, I have only 1 dress that will fit that is dressy. It's a coral colored maternity dress that I wore to a black tie event last time I was PG. I think DH is just going to wear a sports jacket and nice pants. And of course I'm going to overdress the kids since they'll look adorable!!

We aren't exactly the dressing up type of people these days. Dh *hates* to dress up. He's a big guy, so he's always hot and miserable. I've learned to not force the issue, because what fun is it to be with your Dh when he's uncomfy and in a bad mood? So, that being said, the most dressed up we're going to get is him in a very nice shirt and slacks, and hopefully a tie. And I have a nice pants suit that should work. DD is going to be in a wedding on Saturday, and her dress will also work perfectly for the cruise. It's just a beautiful chocolate brown and white princess dress, and she'll definitely look the cutest out of the 3 of us!

Oh, I finally got DD's Halloween costume at the Disney store yesterday. It's their Tinkerbell costume, and I got the light-up wings that go with it. I might take the wings back, though, because they're going to be a pain to pack in a suitcase! Hmmmmm. Not sure if I should just keep them or not??? With what I spent on her costume, I'm really doubting that I'm going to get a costume for myself now.

Here's my dress the last time I wore it (March '05) when I was about 13 weeks PG. It's more coral than it looks in the pic.

Last year i did not really dress up. wore pants and a nice shirt, this year i plan on wearing a skirt or 2. Nothing fancy though! Dh will probaby sport a tie and that is it.

Lisa, the dress looks pretty. The dressy panty suit I have has a shirt w/ a similar look as the skirt part of your dress. Sorta frilly, in black. Still not sure what I'm going to do. I think I'll look around some more for something trendy before I decide.

Has anyone ever used Downy spray wrinkle release, I think that is what it is called. I saw they have a small travel size and wondered if it worked well. Especially if I bring a dress shirt and tie for DH, which is what I am leaning toward. Even if I iron it at the hotel, it is still spending half a day at least in the suitcase again, and I hate ironing for nothing.

they have irons in the laundry rooms if you need them

anyone have late dinning?

Thanks Minnie. your outfit sounds pretty too.

Stephie, we have early dining because of the kids.

guess i am going to be all alone at late dinning.. LOL

isnt some one going to palo brunch on sea day at 1030? who was it?

Hi Stephiann....we've got late dining....Deb and John and the whole family of seven. I've been reading but not posting lately.

We also have Palo brunch on the sea day, but at 11:00. Are you doing Palo? Which meal? What date and time? Who are you sailing with?:wizard: princess: :wizard:

Now that's something worth celebrating....and you couldn't have picked a better way to celebrate, IMHO, than on Mickey's ship. Is your DH a Navy man? My DH is too....but a vietnam vet. I'm sure they would have a lot to talk about....chatty, chatty, chatty....we'll have to meet for some DODs at the pool. Are you going to wear your DISgreen shirt into the terminal and at the sail away party? I haven't decided yet, coz I'm not sure how many DISers are going to be on this trip. What do you think?

:hippie:  :hippie:
