Oct 20, 2011 Disney Dream

Hi there! I'm Debbie and DH is Junior. We just booked this cruise while we were on the DVC SSMember Cruise. We left our kids at home for the member cruise, but we'll be bringing them with on this one. HOWEVER, we're basing this cruise date on the assumption that our kids will be out of school for fall break that weekend. If they're not, then we'll have to re-schedule for the correct fall break weekend. Both kids throw a fit if we take them out of school for vacation. They like to earn the perfect attendance awards.

We can't wait to see the new ship!! We are planning on bringing my Dad, my mother in law, and my sister in law and her family. But we'll see....it's all up in the air right now.

This will be our 8th cruise. We LOVE DCL.

Hi Debbie well let's hope that there spring break will be then. How old are your kids?

Hi folks:goodvibes

We might be joining you! We currently have a 7 night cruise on the Magic booked, but due to various reasons might be switching to this one and the 4 night one before it b2b. Looking forward to chatting with you all.
I should know for definate in a couple of days.

I'm Karen, hubby is Neil and DS Ellis who will be 11 when we cruise. Looking forward to exploring the Dream:banana:

Absolutely - count us in for FE.:yay: - It's so much fun delivering the packages and returning to find some goodies waiting for you!

How old are your children? We've been really lucky on our last two cruises that our Son found a buddy of similar age before we cruised and they got on great in the kids clubs etc.

Hi Karen! My son will have just turned 12 a week before this cruise!

We'd love to participate in a FE exchange as well!

Let's just hope our plans don't change and we can still do THIS cruise instead of having to change it to the following week! :upsidedow

Hi Karen Well our girls will be 13 and 9 at the time of the cruise, we do have a son but he will be 21 at the time of sailing. my wifes twin sister will be with us as well her kids will be dd 12 ds 9 I think

Ellis will just have turned 11 so they'll be in the same kids club age group. Nearer the time maybe they'd like to email each other so they can get to know each other a little before we cruise? I hope you dont have to change cruises.

Same as above - it was great getting the kids chatting before the cruise - they felt like they knew each other when they actually met in the terminal. It also encouraged him to go to the kids clubs for a while giving us chance to visit the adult pool etc;)

Hi Karen
That is a wonderfull idea to get the kids chatting by e-mail and I am all for it. Just one problem my kids dont know yet that they are going. We are going to surprise them at Christmas, So once Christmas rolls around and they find out that they are going then we will hook them up LOL

Anyways thats enought about me - lets hear more about you ! and your family and adventures ! Whats your fave part of crusing Disney ? mine would have to be the shows :-)

My family LOVES Disney. DH and I first went to WDW together just three months after we met and we've been Disney fanatics ever since! And of course our honeymoon was at WDW (that wasn't a big surprise to anyone close to us! :rotfl2:). We used to go to WDW pretty much every single year until DCL set sail. Of course, then some of our vacations were on cruises instead of on land! This cruise will be our 8th cruise. My favorite part of cruising is just looking around the ship, taking it all in and finding new details each time I sail.

Oh wow! - you must try to record their reaction when you tell them! I'm soooo bad at keeping secrets. I told Ellis as soon as I booked it:lmao: Theres no way I'd last until Christmas:rotfl2:

Sounds like us! We got married in Orlando in 1993 on our first trip to WDW. We were there for a month and we've been back every year since. Ellis was 15 months old on his first trip and we're all hooked and Disney mad. The one year we managed to visit Disneyland, WDW and Disneyland Paris in thesame year:rotfl: I'd love to visit Toyko, but as yet havent made it.

Hello everyone!

We are taking the Dream for our first Disney cruise. Dd will be 11 when we sail and she will find out about the cruise at Christmas time. Dh is thrilled with the veranda and I am just excited to be heading anywhere Disney! We are from Michigan and I think we will head down a day or 2 early to check out the Kennedy Space Center in whatever form it will be next fall.
