Barb, Congrats on the new grandson. I can't wait to see pictures.

The massage didn't happen. I had too much to do around the house today. I have been neglecting so much. I will have to do it another day.

Denine, hope you have a great trip. Sounds like it is off to a good start.

Sandy and Heidi, I wish I could pack and go with you guys.

Julie, I am still hoping to see you guys in Florida in a few weeks.

Back to laundry. I know what you mean about it piling up in the winter, Sandy.

Later!:grouphug:

Susan, sometimes getting things done around the house is just as good as a massage. I know when things pile up and I finally get it done, it feels so good!

Heidi, I lied to you! Sorry. I do have those cheapy towels that we are taking to MX. I will give them to you so that we can share the weight.

Congrats on the new grandbaby Barb!

We spent 6 hours at the American History museum.. There is just so much to see! Even so, we skimmed a lot of the stuff we saw last. It didn't seem quite as crowded today and not as windy, but still cold! After the museum, we walked over to the Elipse to see the National Christmas Tree. I got a good picture of the tree with the White House in the background. They had a total of 56 small trees; 1 for each state and territory. We got to see them light the tree too. There are a bunch of miniature trains around the tree.

We came back to the hotel and had a nice assortment of cheeses and crackers and fresh veggies. Last night it was bratwurst, potato salad and fresh veggies. So, we didn't have to buy dinner 2 nights in a row and 2 breakfasts in a row. I LOVE the free tea and cocoa too. Nice to warm up with.

We are supposed to get freezing rain tonight. There is a winter advisory until 1 PM. I don't know how well they clean their roads down here, so don't know what to expect. We are driving to the space museum annex where they have the Concord. From there, we will continue down to Richmond to see our friends and then come home Sunday.

Until...

Denine - Wow, sounds like a cool trip. I would love to see pictures too!

Mom - I cannot believe you LIED to me. oh my gosh! I can pick up the towels today!

BAD MOM! Heidi, we are going to the movie. Not sure which one but they start at 12:30. Blind Side, It's Complicated or Up in the Air.

Have fun at the movie mom. Brittany and I saw Brothers last night and it was really good.

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I can get Jerry to post some pictures on FB for me.

We went to the Air and Space Annex yesterday. It was sooo cool. We got to see the Concord and the Enterprise space shuttle. Both were amazing to see. Too bad they didn't have it set up so you could see inside them.

After the museum, we drove down to our friend's in Richmond. We all stayed up last night to watch the ball drop, including Kaleigh. She didn't get to sleep until about 1 AM and was up at 7:30 this morning.

Now, our plans are to relax!

Denine, sounds like you are having a fantastic time. I wish I could relax. Today will be to get somewhat ready for MX. Have to cut Ted's hair, too. Prime Rib for dinner tonight. Mmmmmm!

Happy New Year everyone. Spent today doing more laundry and watching hockey with the boys. Getting my hair cut tomorrow and then to my Dad's. I have really enjoyed having the time to spend with him this week. His anxiety level is tapering off too and that is a blessing.

Gotta go buy a new smoke alarm. For some reason ours has decided to go crazy. It's not the battery, better to be safe than try to figure out the problem.

Later. Love you guys!

Hey Susan. I'm happy you had that week off. I am sure it was good for you as well as your dad. Good to hear that his anxiety has lessened. Smoke alarms are a big pain but good to have. LOL

Prime rib in oven and yorkshire pudding to follow. Mmmmmm.

Sounds yummy Sandy. We had pork, sauerkraut and spaetzle for dinner.

It has been a nice, relaxing day.

Not looking foward to driving home on Sunday. I hope the snow won't be too bad.

Susan: I am glad you have gotten to spend time with your dad this week.

Julie: We saw part of the game, including the end.

Don't know which way to go home tomorrow. Snow will be everywhere. UGHHH!!!

We made our ressies yesterday so we can go to homeschool days at Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown in March!

Man, will our snow ever melt? It has been on the ground for at least a month. It's sunny but never quite warm enough to melt. Getting old that is for sure. I must be ready for MX with my winter attitude. LOL

Congrats to Buckeyes. At first I thought when the page loaded who in the heck is Buckeyes. Good thing you put Ohio State.....LOL Just not a sports minded person.

Denine, be careful driving home. Check in when you can so we know you are safe.

Sandy: I will let everyone know when we are home safe. We are leaving pretty early to give ourselves plenty of time. Kaleigh has her pulmonologist appointment at 8:45 Monday morning. So, we have to get home.

Went to Bonefish Grill for dinner tonight. It was really good. We had never been there before. Just going to relax for the rest of the evening.

Thinking of you Denine.

We have never been to Bonefish Grill. I hear it is expensive and we avoid those kind of places.

Doing laundry AGAIN.
