Congrats on the new grandbaby Barb!
We spent 6 hours at the American History museum.. There is just so much to see! Even so, we skimmed a lot of the stuff we saw last. It didn't seem quite as crowded today and not as windy, but still cold! After the museum, we walked over to the Elipse to see the National Christmas Tree. I got a good picture of the tree with the White House in the background. They had a total of 56 small trees; 1 for each state and territory. We got to see them light the tree too. There are a bunch of miniature trains around the tree.
We came back to the hotel and had a nice assortment of cheeses and crackers and fresh veggies. Last night it was bratwurst, potato salad and fresh veggies. So, we didn't have to buy dinner 2 nights in a row and 2 breakfasts in a row. I LOVE the free tea and cocoa too. Nice to warm up with.
We are supposed to get freezing rain tonight. There is a winter advisory until 1 PM. I don't know how well they clean their roads down here, so don't know what to expect. We are driving to the space museum annex where they have the Concord. From there, we will continue down to Richmond to see our friends and then come home Sunday.
Until...
