H-e-l-l-o stranger. How's school going Anna Marie? Congrats on the internship. You have to come back here and report what it's like!

Susan, been thinking about you and the weather. Wow, all you guys are getting hit pretty good.

Denine, how is Ohio doing with the weather? Looks like you could be getting hit.

I think Barb is home because she is posting on FB again.

Heidi, NO SPRAINS AND NO BROKEN BONES! Mexico wouldn't be very much fun!

Hey there! Anna Marie is done with BG until next fall. She is working over break at Ambercrombie and Fitch. We leave on January 14th and we come home on the 24th. We got her up and posting on here so she can update us as she goes. We will find out where she is going to be working on the 18th along with where she will be living and everything else. She has to get fingerprinted AND an FBI background check before she sets foot in the parks/property WHICH she starts training on 20th!!!! She has the 19th to get what she needs for her housing/job (they require special "shoes" for different jobs/locations, and if she wants to get a TV for the condo or small appliances she has that Tuesday to get what she needs to begin her "disney life"). She will have more time to get their condo they way they want it and get small stuff later on, but they give the people 1 day to try and get what they need.

Sandy, the weather here in Ohio is just fine. We are getting a light dusting to an inch or 2 around here. Down in the southern half of Ohio they have a lot more snow. We lucked out up here this time around. It looks like we will have another GREEN Christmas because our weather is suppose to go above freezing the next few days. Oh well. We will get our snow sooner or later. LOL!

Heidi, good luck ice skating. I use to teach learn to skate to little kids. I also "rink aided" open skate. I use to live at the city's pool and ice rink all throughout high school. I managed both!!! Ahhhh, the memories!

Denine, glad to hear you got your wreathes up.

If you got your secret santa gift already ... post what you got!!! I know that 1 person hasn't gotten their yet, BUT I HAVE A RELIABLE SOURCE THAT TOLD ME that who ever doesn't have their gift yet WILL get it by Christmas. IF YOU DON'T let me know and I will try and help anyone track down their packages for them.

We opened our Santa gift already.... Sandy and Ted had us! We got an disney ornament for each of us ( Woody and Jessie; Buzz and an alien, 2 Tinkerbell ornaments- both which were different and adorable in their own way; and a Mickey glove balloon with goofy and minnie and mickey in it.) PLUS we got a beautiful dish with holly leaves on it with PEANUT BRITTLE!!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! It was gone in like 2 days!!!! I'm officially putting in my order for next's years peanut brittle!!!!!!!!!!

Well gonna go! Have a great evening everyone!

Hello! Got back late last night from Disney had soooo much fun. Loved being with the family. Weather was cool off and on but nothing to extreme. Went from 50ies to 80ies.

Tiffany is home for Christmas. Went shopping today. Tomorrow is making cookies then going to see Avatar then to top off the night, the girls got Bob and I a helicopter ride over the city to look at Christmas lights. So tomorrow night we will be on a helicopter. I have never been on one before.

Have not received my Secret Santa yet. Cant wait to hear what everyone got. Best part of the exchange!

Wasnt on the Monorail when the power went out. Didnt even know it happened. Wish I would have been though. Sounds fun!!

Kara was so cute with the charaters. Got some cute pictures of her kissing them. When they would walk up she would look at Ethan and wait to see his reaction once she saw he liked them then they were ok.

That is AWESOME!! Cant wait to hear how her semester goes.

But Barb, I didn't have your name. I told you I would meet you half way though.:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Headed out to Little House on the Prairie. Can't wait!:cool1::woohoo: Thanks Heidi!

Wow Julie, I thought all of Ohio was getting hit with the storm. Good for you. Nothing wrong with staying dry on Christmas! I saw on Facebook that Jeanne was headed somewhere and was worried she might not get out. I know for a fact that the news said ALL of NJ was getting it. Hope she was able to leave!

It looks like Heidi, Barb and myself haven't received their gifts. OPEN, OPEN, OPEN everyone. Can't wait to hear what everyone got.

Gotta run. Armadillo time and then the show. I can't wait.

Hello.

Sandy: Our weather lately has been unusually nice. We had a beautiful November. We have hardly had any snow, just a dusting or so yesterday. Funny that Texas and the south have had snow though. For our friends in Virginia, I don't know how much they got, but I was ribbing on them. I told them just to make sure it was gone for New year's since we will be there then. We leave the 29th and come home the 3rd.

Barb: Welcome home!

We have our secret santa under the tree. Haven't opened it yet. I guess we will do it soon and then I will post what we got.

We took Jerry's mom to the cemetery today where her parents, grandparents and great grandparents are buried. I was able to get a lot of dates to fill in on the family tree. His mom then took us to lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. That was our first time there.

I am going to make a standing rib roast and yorkshire pudding for Christmas Eve. I haven't made one before, but I am tired of ham.

Green Christmases are fine with me since we always have a lot of driving to do.

But Barb, I didn't have your name. .:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Does that mean I have to MAKE SURE you get us every year???:lmao: I think it's just best to put me on "THE LIST" of recipients each and every year now. It's a tradition now...... Oh I forgot to tell you that..... Peanut Brittle from Sandy..... a Christmas Tradition!!!!;)

Just a friendly reminder... IT'S GIRL SCOUT COOKIE TIME!!!!!!:cool1: Makenzie is still selling them!! If anyone would like some, I DO mail them!! Cookies arrive in March I believe, but taking orders now!!!!

Cold and cloudy with a chance of flurries. At least you don't have to shovel flurries.

We still have school this week since we will be gone over New Year's and for a week in March. Then we have vacation in April. Kaleigh gets bored without school anyway.

That is it from here.

Julie: I will let you know about the cookies.

Good morning. We had a great time ice skating. For the first few minutes, I don't even think I let go of the rail! I finally relaxed and loosened up and was able to enjoy it. I kept telling the girls that they shouldn't come to me to catch them, otherwise we will all go down and I will be the one landing on them. Amanda only fell once and Emily fell about 20 times! Chris and I managed to stay on our feet the entire time. Emily kept falling because she was trying to do tricks! It was nice to get out as that was the only thing we were doing because money is really tight this year for us.

Hi guys, sitting here waiting for Stacey to pick me up. She has some shopping to do in town so we are going together.

Barb, when do you go on the helicopter? How cool!

Julie, I think I will pass on the cookies. I am doing too good on this diet and girl scout cookies are a major weakness!

The show was fantastic. I don't know how much you guys really know about me but I am a very emotional person. As I told you, Little House means a lot to me and probably because the De Smet homestead was only about 40 minutes away from where I grew up. So the curtain goes up and Melissa Gilbert is on stage and I cried. It was so cool, sitting there with a Little House show and also seeing Melissa in it. I make it through the show after that, loving it of course. At the end after the final bow, Melissa comes out all by herself, bows and throws kisses. It was another crying moment for me. I know none of you understand my emotions. I absolutely loved my Christmas gift. I then called the girls to thank them and of course, I cried to both of them. Heidi told me that Melissa wasn't in all the shows so they had to be very selective. I don't think it would have been as good for me if she wasn't and the girls realized it.

Sandy: The show sounds awesome! Glad you had a great time.

Good Morning or afternoon now.
I am back at work again. Between 2 trips to Disney, 5 weeks of being sick, weather and doctor appointments I have not worked much since the middle of September! I am only working 3 days this week and next. I think after the holidays are over and I have to work 40 hour weeks again until who knows when I am going to have work shock!:lmao:

Sandy I not only understand your emotions but I would have been crying too! You and I are kindred spirits when it comes to that. or rather:sad1:

Heidi-Glad you stayed on your feet. It is way harder for adults to fall!!

Yesterday went to the commissary then home and cleaned for a bit then to see Avatar (Great movie!!) then picked up Ethan and headed to the airport for our helicopter ride. We flew over the city, Garden of the Gods, Manitou, the Zoo and the Broadmoor. It was SUPER cool. I have soo much to finish this week getting ready for Christmas. We decided to have a dinner on both Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Sure wish I loved to cook it would come in so handy right now.:rotfl:

Julie did you get the package I sent you? Hope so or I need to track it down.

Denine-What fun Christmas projects did you and Kaleigh do?? I bet you did some fun stuff, you always do. How is Jazzy?? Insert Kitty pets here.

Susan how is your Dad? How are you holding up?

Hi guys!

Barb, YES I did!!! Thank you thank you!!! I loved it. But you didn't have to! Your helicopter flight sounds incredible! I wish there was something like that around here. Glad to hear that Disney was fun too! I can't wait to take Anna Marie down there. The 18th seems to be the busiest day for us, until the evening. With her checking in, getting her housing, her job location, our morning is going to be extremely crazy. I think we have decided on having the Fairy godmothers or 'Kids Night Out" watch the three while we are doing this stuff in the morning. If they don't do mornings, one of us will stay back with them, while the other one goes with Anna Marie. I THINK that is the "baby sitting/ child watching "services that people say is good to use. Not sure, do you know? Did you get your Owner's locker this trip? Did you go to the evening wine event on Tuesday? ( every Tuesday John meets up with owner locker member's and gets feed back from them and buys them a glass of wine or drink).

Well, it's 12am here and Garry got called in. I guess there was a break in and it's a big mess. Gotta love it! Who knows when he will be back. I guess he isn't going in at 6am.....

Heidi, did you get your secret santa gift yet? IF not, you SHOULD get it today (Tuesday) if not, let me know! Glad you had fun ice skating. I went with Makenzie and Garry a year ago when the girl scouts went. I had a blast! I hadn't been on skates since I was a freshman in college! LOL! But I have to agree.... it was so much fun! I'm glad I went and want to go again.

Denine, so a big Christmas Eve dinner, huh? What time do you want us? LOL! Actually I make either filet mignon or prime rib on Christmas Eve for Garry's birthday. Then on Christmas day, we have a big traditional dinner. We usually make a big breakfast too after the presents are open. So we have a huge eating-fest for 2 days! LOL! So much for me losing anymore weight before the first of the year.

Sandy, I know what you are saying about doing good dieting. Garry and I started Weight watchers in the beginning of November. Garry has lost over 25 lbs and I have lost a little over 10 lbs. I do the elliptical almost everyday or walk on the trail in the metro parks for 5 miles. Garry and I walked the trail on Saturday. It was cold, but refreshing. Keep going with the great work at weight loss!!!! Next time we all see each other, we won't recognize each other! LOL!!!!!

Well, gotta run. Listening to the scanner and not paying attention to what I'm typing... I guess they are on a "man hunt" right now for one of the suspects..... Just what Garry needs to be doing ........ Gotta LOVE being married to a police officer!!

I'll keep you posted!

Good Morning!

Decided to post first thing today instead of waiting until things slowed down.
Hoping to hear on the lighting contest today. I called the guys yesterday but he was out and never returned my call. grrrrrr. Made cookies last night wrapped gifts I bought at Disney and finally decorated the tree in our front room. I did not do much decorating in the house this year. I have got to get some better organization to all my Christmas stuff. It is all stored under the house and I never seem to know which crates to bring out first. I have tried numbering them and labeling them but it never seems to work.

Julie-Your welcome! Glad you liked it. Especially glad it made it in one piece! I still have not gotten the owners locker yet. grrrr. I was all set to do it all year but was not sure exactly where to go to sign up. I tried to find a website but could not find it. I really want to go back to Disney in the Spring and take care of it then but not sure if we are going to be able to. CONGRATS ON THE WEIGHT LOSS!!! I'm sure I missed the post since I did not keep up with the board like I should have but I didn't know you were doing WW. Thats AWESOME!! I have only been able to do water aerobics 3 times since the middle of September between 3 trips and being sick I sure have missed it.

I took pictures of our house last night and am going to try to post them and Disney pictures in Facebook tonight. So we will see how sucessful I am.

Sandy-How was the shopping with Stacey? How are the kids? How is Tyler doing?

Heidi-Did it ever get decided what the girls are doing for Christmas? Hope that all turned out ok for you guys.

Back to work. YAY!!

Julie - I hope they get the suspect and Garry gets home earlier than expected. They did try to deliver the package yesterday but know one was home so I am sure I will get it today. Great job on the weightloss and working out. I haven't worked out this week at all, too many things going on.

Barb - Have you heard yet from the lighting contest? I will have to get on FB tonight and check out your pictures. We did get the girls Christmas figured out, we just got them on Friday, had our Christmas with them on Sunday and then are dropping them off tomorrow. Not what I wanted but I am over it.

I was hopping work would be slow and a lot of people took off this week but it is turning out I am wrong. Seems like all my coworkers took off, but all of our customers didn't so I am covering for 5 people and 2 of those are the bosses. It was a stressful day yesterday and I am guessing it will be the same today and tomorrow.

Heidi-Blah! Sounds stressful! Hoping it will slow today for you. I am counting on people going away too. We we pretty busy yesterday too!
Celebrated a week early eh? Sounds like a good compromise although I know it was not what you were hoping for. Next year stand your ground!
