Rainy today.

I work tomorrow, but off next week!

Nothing else going on.

Good grief, Thanksgiving is one mighty expensive holiday. And, too much work, too.

Denine, are you getting more hours at work?

Hello! Tomorrow is supposed to be my day off but I have to go to work in the morning for the audit. Thank goodness it will all be over with tomorrow and then we will spend the next month hearing about our mistakes and the terrible job we did. Thankfully going out for Happy Hour tonight to relieve the stress.

Mom - Do you want me to give you some money????

Denine - I hope you feel better.

Thanks for the offer Heidi but you bringing the mashed potatoes takes the stress off of me BIG TIME. BTW, Harold and Oatie might be coming. Won't that be interesting with Sam, LOL. We are headed to the Springs tomorrow until Sunday. Dad needs some time away.

Sandy: Right now Jerry's mom still likes to host Thanksgiving. When that changes, it will be me.

Work was fine today. I have been getting once a week. I only asked for 2 days in December though. One Friday morning I am taking Kaleigh to see Nutcracker with the homeschool group, the next is Christmas Eve and then it is New years eve and we will be in Virginia.

I talked with my dad last night after his appointment. I think we have all decided that his body cannot handle chemo. He falls so much as it is now. He is tired of falling. I told him it is either fall while trying to walk or sit down and never walk again. I looked at his tests results and he doesn't have leukemia at this point. I have more research to do, but I think he will just have to have transfusions as necessary. He is not to that point yet. He goes back in 2 months.

Kaleigh has her theater workshop this evening and I will get my grocery shopping done while she is there.

Took Kaleigh to the library book sale after work. She did pretty well. I didn't get but a few books. There were very few paperbacks to choose from this time.

Heidi: Enjoy your evening out!

Susan: What's on for the weekend?

Barb: Are those trees done and are you packed?

Julie: How is the foot?

surgery went well I no longer have a gall bladder! A little sore and very tired. I'll try to get back on tomorrow when I'm not as tired (I hope).

Susan - so glad your surgery went well. I hope you aren't sore today. Are you in the hospital?

Denine - You are so lucky you only have to work 2 days in December!!! Wish I could say that. I'm sorry about your dad.

My mom and dad decided to skip town and head out for a staycation this weekend. I hope they are having fun.

I have had a rough weekend. Just found out yesterday that Chris's sister needs Chris to come to FL again because they are buying their dad a trailer that is where Chris's mom is staying and close to Chris's sister so they can be closer to him. They will have to clean out his house and get it ready to sell. He is being released in early December and Chris will be leaving for Florida December 20th and come back January 18th. That means he will be gone for the holidays and gone for 5 weeks. I have been an emotional wreck because of this. So not looking forward to the holidays anymore. Our Christmas presents to each other is now his plane ticket to Florida.

Susan, feel better......I know you will soon without that bothersome gall bladder!

Denine, can't wait to hear about The Nutcracker!

Heidi, I feel so bad for you and I just don't know what to say. I've talked to you on the phone by the time you read this but I was 100% honest. You can stay here the entire time if you would like. You could bring one of your "egg cartons" since our bed is to hard for you. I would love to have you here. Sable would like it, too. Besides that, you have to help me shovel. Oh.....and we can have HAM!!! Mmmmmmm LYMI

Thanks for the invite mom. I am just too upset right now to even think clearly to make a decision. I have decided that I am not even decorating for Christmas this year anymore.

Susan: Get well soon!

Heidi: Well, that sucks! Chris really needs to be gone for Christmas and New Years? Maybe you should go stay with your parents through the holidays. It would help a lot I think. {HUGS}

We spent Saturday cleaning the carpets. It was worth it though. They look brand new!
Yesterday was church and roast beef in the crock pot with home made mashed potatos. We also went to Toys R Us to get Kaleigh something with her $3 gift card from the birthday club. While there, we finally got her a bike helmet. She actually found a $3 item! It is a Geoffrey Littlest Pet Shop pet. Later we all played UNO.

Today is is raining, but surprisingly warm. It is supposed to be 66 today and then go down to the 30's by Friday. Supposed to rain all week on and off. It has been an amazing November weather-wise though.

We have school today and tomorrow and then I cook on Wednesday. Mostly, we are just doing math, spelling and writing Kaleigh's research paper. She is working on it now. The research and outline are done. She just has to write the rough draft today and the final tomorrow.

Heidi, I was afraid that you would feel like that. Remember when you and dad made me decorate after grandma died. Maybe we will need to do that to you!!

Denine, good for Kaleigh. It's tough to find something for 3.00. We are getting a blast of artic air at the end of the week. Not looking forward to it.

Susan, how are you doing today?

Good Morning

Checking in not really in the mood to be on the phone so I am taking a break. Today is my birthday started out this morning getting a text from Tiffany that her car was broken into. Got some Happy Birthdays on facebook so that made me feel better.

Going to my Moms for Thanksgiving. It will be nice not to be solely responsible for the cooking. Working today and tomorrow getting a shot in my knee on Wednesday, shopping on Friday going to the Nutcracker on Satruday night. Busy busy busy.....

Heidi-Sorry about Chris the timing is horrible! Will you see the girls for Christmas?

Susan- Glad you are doing ok.

Denine-You sound busy as usual. So sad about your Dad:hug: We are thinking of going to see my sister over New years.

Sandy-A few years ago I tore the meniscus in my knee. I have been controling the pain with shots but I guess it is to far advanced. I have finally decided to give in and have surgery early next year. Not looking forward to it. Just praying I can get around Disney ok since I will have a fresh shot circulating.

Just talked to Jason. They had a dr appointment this morning and stripped her membranes. When they do that the baby is born with 2 days! YAY almost new baby time!!

Thank you for the Happy Birthdays on facebook

First off:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARB!!!

Second, Heidi is there anyway you can go with Chris for at least Christmas? I don't see why he couldn't fly out Christmas night or the next day. Missing 4 days doesn't seem like too much since he will be there til mid. Jan. I'm sure his sister and family could work on "cleaning out the little stuff" before Chris gets there. Hugs to you!!!! I know it must be hard, but you can get through this!!!

Susan, I hope you are feeling better.

Well, I've been given permission to drive, BUT I'm still on crutches!!!:headache: I had a Dr. appointment this morning and he said he did lots of intense work in a small area, so it's going to take A LONG TIME to heal and get back to normal. Next week the stitches will come out and then I will be able to FINALLY get it wet. I still can't walk on it OR stand with all the pressure on my foot. It is still swollen and he still wants me to ice it. Other then that, nothing exciting going on here. Garry will go back to work tomorrow. He has been off and has been WONDERFUL!!!! He had gotten dinner every night for the kids and us, and the house has NEVER BEEN CLEANER!!!! I will miss not having him home, but at least tomorrow is the last day for the kids this week, so the kids can help out on Wed. when he is at work.

Well, gonna run. Have a great day everyone! Will be back some time this week!!

ttfn

Hi Julie, :hug:so glad to hear from you. I was wondering how you were doing after the surgery. Tell Garry that I'm proud of him for taking such good care of you, the kids and the house. Ouch, it sure sounds horrible. So thankful, (knock on wood) that I have never been on crutches.

Barb, sure hope the shot works the whole time you are in WDW!! And.....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

First of all:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BARB!:bday:

Heidi, so sorry you and Chris will be apart for the holiays. You should really plan to spend it with your Mom and Dad.

Julie, glad you are slowly mending. Sounds like Garry did a good job taking care of things.

Denine, lots of prayers for your Dad and the whole family.

I am feeling a lot better today. The shower did take a toll and I had to take another nap.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Paul's sister is coming in tomorrow and we will have Thansgiving with my family. Turner then has hockey Fri-Sun in Raleigh. I hope I feel like going.

Later. LYMI

Susan, isn't it crazy that a simple thing like a shower can do you in??? Remember NOT to overdo it on Thanksgiving. It's ok if someone "waits" on you. LYMI

Heidi: I got to thinking. Why do they need to clean out the house and get it ready to sell right this minute? Can't it wait until after the holidays?

Julie: Sounds like you are on the mend albeit slowly. Foot surgery is never easy. One of my caregivers at work is having surgery on both feet at the same time! Whenever you are ready to get your bag of stuff we brought home, let me know and Jerry can take it to work with him and you can get it there.

Barb: New baby for Thanksgiving!!!! Sorry about Tiffany's car. I had a car stolen once. It was very un-nerving.

Susan: It is amazing how just a shower can completely wipe you out. Remember, you did have major surgery even though it was the "bandaid" kind. Take it easy!

I bought a groupon for 3 kids cooking classes for Kaleigh. I think she will have a lot of fun. Now, I just need to schedule the classes. I might do at least 1 in December since Kaleigh will not have PSR the whole month and she only has one theater workshop left.

Tomorrow I get to spend the day cooking!

After school today I am going to show Kaleigh how to do her cross stitch project.
