Oct.19, 02 Cruisers AGAIN

Joyce & I had a really great shopping trip but when we go to take the Cape May/Lewes Ferry home they tell us (at the gate) the ferry is cancelled due to high winds. When I made the reservations I asked if the ferry was ever cancelled & she laughed & said "only in hurricanes"! My car has lights on the roof & is REALLY bad in wind so I was not happy driving home IN THE DARK (we would have left earlier) & trying to keep the car on the road but it all worked out. We got home earlier then we would have on the ferry & once we got out of Delaware & the flat land it was much better. We did shop til' we dropped for two days from 10 AM until about 5 PM. I did buy one of my pollyanna presents. I do not have everything for the exchange like Denine.

SANDY: I'm glad the girls did well with their surgery.

Waiting for my furniture to be delivered & getting very excited:jumping4:. Tonight the tree is going up! Not much money left for WDW but a few things are paid for already. I guess we will be with Bonnie eating in the cafeteria

Sally: I don't envy you the work involved in redecorating. It is a lot of work. Thanks for the sympathy on the weight gain. It is so frustrating. I was getting so close to my goal, and now I feel a million miles away from it.

Sue: Glad Paul is home. I hope they find his luggage. Isn't it great to get a bargain on a formal?

Jeanne: Glad you had a good shopping trip. Lori not only has her gift, but it is packaged and ready to go. I still have to figure out how to do that before we leave for WDW.

Lori: Hope the kids get healthy soon. You have to be a real saint to deal with that woman. At least you aren't married to her!

The Big Guy has a nasty cold and hasn't been sleeping well. Julie is exhausted being up most of the time with him.

Bonnie: I downloaded Julie's list. Boy, you sure are staying a looong time, almost a year! Hope work is going better.

Denine, you are doing wonderfully on that diet. Don't give up. You are sooo close. Remember, I started the diet thing and didn't lose. You are great! I don't know why Barb isn't posting but I do know that she is meeting Lori and I for lunch on Monday. I will tell her you asked about her.

Speaking of the diet, my new friend Faith on the new cruise thread gave me a diet that has been around for many years that I thought I would try. She said that she had lost years ago on it. It is the American Heart Assoc. diet. It goes by other names also. If anyone is interested, let me know and I will send it on to you. It seems like it will be easy. Faith has the Walt Disney Suite on the Magic and has invited us to visit. I can't wait to see it. I plan to take mega pictures to share with everyone. Jeanne, Joyce and I are meeting her at Disney World for a lunch at GF.

Jeanne, with the exception of the wind, it sounds like you had a great time. Listen, I know where we can all eat cheap and that is at MY hotel at the food court.

I don't think it is broken....it still hurts but I went to Curves this morning and was able to exercise....

Not much going on here so am going to do laundry and clean my workroom as they are on the same floor.

I don't think I will be putting up a tree this year as we still don't have dates for the floor or carpet to be put in....

I got a formal on sale for the last cruise and it was nicer than the ones I paid more for....and who doesn't like a bargin!!

My Disney Christmas tree is up & decorated. Yeah! Lots of things coming up - weekend work, employee dinner on Wednesday, Thanksgiving work, Black Friday shopping & then WALT DISNEY WORLD

SANDY: I don't know about your food court. The little cafeteria at The Dolphin is like a store & you get either a 10 or a 20% discount on the food with your Disney Club card so you can eat just a Krispy Kreme donut & coffee for breakfast at a reasonable rate! Can't wait to meet Faith on Wednesday. You need to talk to me about seating, rotation, etc. on the cruise.

I am almost ready to pack up my pollyanna but have just a few more things to add but it will be mailed before I leave for WDW.

Glad Joyce and Jeanne are working hard. I'm home early because work was so slow. I don't mind tonight since the kids are sick, but there have been a few shifts lately where I only end up working 4 of my 12 hours. I like 8 to 10 hours best. Getting only 4 without warning is a waste of a day.

Jeanne, what a stressful drive! Yikes, talk about white knuckles.

Sue, glad you got Paul back, even if it was without luggage. I guess if they just had to misplace one or the other....

Sandy, your daughter is right, you ARE losing it!

Oh, Katie is beating me to get off-line. We're going to a "70's dance" tonight at the school. I need to rummage thru closets and come up with some clothes.

Paul's luggage arrived around noon today. So, all back to normal (whatever that is). Turner and I went to Family Night at school tonight to play bingo and we agreed to split anything we won. So he has $20 and I have $20!!! Now I am ready for Bingo on the MAGIC!

We have a hockey game in the morning so I am calling it a night. Paul should be home soon from working a case.

Went shopping tonight and got my exchange gift.....yeah! Just hope my Disney family likes it....

Dick has decided to put the kitchen floor in himself....don't know if that is going to be good or bad time wise.....

I was shopping for a mirror to put over the fireplace on one side...want to put candles in front of it....it is going to take quite a few of the same color and same smell......may be a bad idea.

My toe must be ok as I did quite a bit of walking tonight and it didn't hurt much....

It is almost ll so guess I will call it a night.....

Hi guys, nothing great going on here. Laundry. Yuck! Ted is at an elderly friends house raking leaves and fertilizing her yard. Yuck, too. We should be on a road trip with the new truck.

I took Stacey out to lunch yesterday. Boy was she ever grateful. She hadn't been out since her surgery and was going crazy.

Sally, Ted was going to put in my kitchen floor and I waited and I waited and I waited some more. I finally told him we were calling someone to do it. It got done and it got done right. Shhhh, don't tell him I added that part. The mirror and the candle idea sounds really good. I don't have a fireplace so I am jealous of anyone that does. Glad your toe is doing better.

Yea, Susan and Turner won. Now they have lots of spending money for the trip! Glad Paul got his luggage back and fairly soon.

Lori, did you guys get your flu shot? Yikes, the schools are getting hit hard.

Jeanne, do you ever just sit down and watch some TV or something? I don't think that you are ever home. Our food court kind of reminds me of a mall. The exception is that you pay in one spot for all restaurants. You can get your food from several little restaurants or just one and then pay for it as you leave the area. The seating area is separate. It has steak, spag, pizza, hamb., sandwiches, chips, fruit, pastries, drinks and other goodies. They have a whole line of breakfast foods, too. It is VERY reasonable. Just can't use your Disney Club card or at least I never tried.

Gotta go dry my hair. Until later........

Back from hockey and breakfast and now facing lots of cleaning and laundry!! I have really neglected the house lately but that must end today!!

I'm going to start pulling things out to pack this weekend too. We leave a week from Tuesday to go to Paul's sister's house and from there we will set sail. So much to do before we go.

Wish I was going with you Susan......then come home to a finished house. I love cruises...

Sandy, Dick lost a guys name twice so I guess he finally gave up. Our grandaughter wants to help do the floor...she thinks she is Amy from Trading Spaces....at least she wants to learn all she can doing remodeling. Lucky for me as she has been so much help...don't think I could do it without her.

I have laundry to do today too and still cleaning my workroom. I was doing good until Crissy came after work and then we went to the mall......

It is 47 and the sun is shining.....it seems warmer when that old sun is out.

Ok Sally, where is Barb????? I hope everything is ok.

The Big Guy is feeling better today, but not up to himself yet. I'm gonna try to get the tree up and at least the lights on, but we will see if the kids will let me do that. At least I have Anna Marie here this weekend to help! Garry and I are suppose to go to the Browns game tomorrow, but do I want to sit in the cold and watch them lose again! They sure aren't the team of last year! Right now I'm listening to Disney music that Garry has gotten off the internet. The music is now.."Remember the Magic" from the parade of a few years ago. I need Disney now! I just hope that I can waddle around the parks! LOL!!! I have a doctor's appointment wed so I will see what he has to say about everything. I don't think that I have gained too much weight. Last time I checked, it was only 6 lbs and I'm 7 1/2 months. Not bad, huh? The baby is extremely active! I don't remember the other two moving around this much. The baby goes nuts when Garry plays the new fireworks "Wishes" from Disney off the internet.

I was looking at the times of shows and parades for the MVMCP and there are two times for the parade. We have read that you should go to the second parade and do the rides for the first parade because the crowds for the second parade isn't as bad. We did that two years ago and it worked out very well.

Jeanne, are you up for Mission Space? I can't go on, but Garry need people to ride with him! We are gonna get Bonnie on it! The stories of people gttng sick on the ride have stopped since they added the fans. Anna Marie loves the ride. When we were there in June, they got to ride it 6 times before it was "official" opened. There is a play area at the end of the ride and that's where I'll be, with the little ones! I'm getting so excited about this trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (even if I can't go on all the rides, at least I'll be in disney!!!!!!!!)

Funny story (well not that funny) about the candlelight procession, when I was there 2 years ago, (prego with The Big Guy) we had the dinner package and ate at Canada. Well, they just set our food down and wouldn't you know it but the Big Guy decided to stretch and push all the way up into my ribs. So hard that I couldn't catch my breathe very well and couldn't eat anything either. The waitress got so concerned she thought I was in labor because I was in so much pain! I had to stand and rock at the table (we were in the corner) to try and re-position him. I had all of Canada's "cast members" so concerned, that they gave me my meal to go (not that great after you heat it up, but we ate it) and two free desserts to go with it. Garry kept saying that I should have gone into labor and then the kid would have gotten a lifetime pass to disney. I DO NOT want that to happen again, so we decided that this year we would skip the package and just try to catch the show at one of the times. I told Garry that one of these times, I want to go to Disney for Christmas and NOT be prego! LOL!

Well, gonna go, my free time has come to an end, the Big Guy is getting up from his short nap!

Julie, how funny... You would like to go to Disney at Christmas and not be pregnant. Geez, do what I did and have the kids two at a time. I can just see Garry pushing a wheelchair for you and a stroller for the kids this time.

I doubt you will ever get Bonnie on Mission Space. If you do, I want to be there! I haven't done much reading lately on the board. So they installed fans to help with the sickness? Hmmmm, maybe Ted can try it and let me know if he thinks that I can handle it. Doubt it though.

Just started a bin for packing. The do not forget stuff. That makes reality sink in that it is coming soon.

Turner and I went to see Brother Bear last night since Paul was working. Cute movie.

Julie, too funny!! You are braver than I would be to be at the parks toward the end of your pregnancy. I went to WDW when I was only 2 months pregnant. The heat gets to me sometimes when I'm not pregnant so I can't imagine being in my last trimester and walking around in that heat. Can't wait to see you!

Sandy, if we were going to the parks, I would ride Mission Space with Ted.

Paul is going out of town again today for a few days. He's heading to the coast to work a case. Hopefully he'll be back by Tuesday. Time to start getting serious about things to pack and the Before We Leave To Do List.

Hi guys, you all got me done with one more Christmas prep. Unbelievable. Usually it takes observations of the neighborhood's lights turned on to clue me in that it's time to unpack lights. WELL, thanks to my over-acheiver buddys here... Ben and I spent part of yesterday on our roof! I figured that it was such a warm day, and usually when we decide that it's time to put up the lights the roof is frozen and frosty, that we'd be smart to get them on up. Havent turned them on, I'll have to do a "bad-bulb" count maybe tonight, but it's nice to have that much out of the way. While up there we cleaned out the gutters too, boy were they BAD. Not even enough rain to wash out the usual roof crumbs.

The kids and I are healthy again (yes, we got shots before Hawai'i) but Ben is still yukky, he got his shot after our return. Maybe it didn't have enough time to kick in. He's not getting worse though.
The school had 23% out by Friday. Both a stomach flu and Influenza are going around. I had very light cases of each, not enough to slow down for. The kids are still needing the nebulizer treatments to keep their lungs open, but otherwise back to 'normal' health.

I think I'll work on backyard lights today. Cody wants lights on his new treehouse. Maybe I can get a little tree on it's platform. We always doll up Katies playhouse and it's so cute. It looks like a regular house decked out to the hilt, but it doesn't invlove as many ladders!

Tons of make-up homework to slave drive today. Boo.
OK, better get with all these plans I'm just talking about. LOL

I have not even lurked lately!!! Can you imagine! Work awful...went in 6:30 on Friday thinking I would leave around 3:30...got out at 4:15...at least that was 15 minutes earlier than usual. Afternoon went to H***.

Saw Peter Paul and Mary last night...although my son says I am Mary since I am robbing Peter to pay Paul. They were wonderful...OLD! but still have their voices...still a bit of the old hippies in them...I think we need that again. Peace and being kind to others rather than ourselves...oh dear! THe old hippy is coming out! Well actually the hips are getting bigger again!

Denine- I didn't catch the dates on the WDW list...wow! No wonder I am broke staying in WDW for a year. Better get a job there.

Sue-Glad the luggage made it home, did it say where it traveled to? I can't wait to see Turner and you guys in 3 weeks!!!! Don't forget to take the door alarm!!! I hope you picked one up so Turner doesn't go sleepwalking again!

Mom-Where is Barb? Glad your toe isn't broken. I am going to work on some scrapbooking today. Once I get that room straightened up. I am curious about the refillable tape...they finally got smart on that one. I do like their's the best but not happy that they weren't refillable.

Lori you are too funny!! Glad the most of kids are all feeling better. I hope Ben feels better soon.

Jeanne-Shall we get our Begger cups ready for WDW? How about a sign to go with them?

Listening to Christmas music right now...got a CD at the Kimmel Center last night. Anyone who knows opera would have heard Kathleen Battle...a soprano with the voice of an angel! ALthough a bit of diva...got fired from the Met. It is beautiful!!!! My splurge...thank heavens for credit cards! LOL!

Joyce & I had a really great weekend at work - the nicest patients, not too many deliveries & a party complete with cake & Panzarotti's. Have you ever heard of a Panzarotti? Some places call them "pizza turnovers". It is pizza cheese, tomato sauce in side of dough that is deep fried. THE DIETER'S DELIGHT!!!!

Tell Garry I'm there for him! I'm planning on going on MISSION SPACE! I really can't wait for WDW.

I did "LURK" a few times this weekend but when I'm at work it won't let me post. Hope you all have a great week. I am doing my usual Monday activities after working the weekend - wash, phone calls, food shopping, etc. Toodles JEANNE
