Oct.19, 02 Cruisers AGAIN

Good morning

Hope everyone had a great weekend.....I did! We pulled the carpet out of the kitchen and I pulled a million stables out. Had to move everything out of the kitchen and move the fridge. Dick and I are getting too old for all this work....Crissy had to work so didn't have any help...but we got it done. She was going to help lay the floor when she got off work but Dick was too tired so we went shopping instead. Had to get groceries and then when we got home there wasn't anyplace to put them...the counters are full of dishes, etc from the hutch. I sure hope the floor is finished this week and the kitchen is put back together.

I have to get ready to go to Curves....Dick is working this morning and then has a doctor appointment. Planning on starting to lay down the floor when he gets home.

I did go ahead and get the mirror for over the fireplace and I put 3 red candles in different sizes in front of it. I put ivy around the mirror.....I like it.

I got a cute little sleeper for our neighbors new baby boy. She has had 5 miscarriages and he was born at 7 months...the last I heard he was doing good.

Katie is very excited for today. Her class headed up a book drive that was a state wide challenge and our school won, so the Governors wife, Mrs. Owens is coming to present a $1,000. check for new library books to Katie's teacher. They have planned an assembly for the event and having the newly formed school choir sing. Katie has been in this choir since it started (practice is an hour before school- yuk!) and is SO excited now to do their first performance. So many kids tried to join late, when the performance at the assembly was announced, but the music teacher is sticking to his guns and letting the diehard originals have this one. Good for him.

Sandy and Barb, this assembly should end at 11:00 so I'll head to the restaurant from there.

Jeanne, no diet here! Your Panzarotti description just drove me to the fridge for Outback leftovers... for BREAKFAST!

Bonnie, getting fired from the Met. I don't know, that just sounds funny They just seem so civilized in such circles. If the walls could talk, huh?

I have never done Pilates. It seems too advanced for me.

Hello!

Busy weekend. I had to work and we did a bunch of Christmas shopping. I am almost done!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!

Jerry's parents came over for a while yesterday. They brought Kaleigh a late birthday present from Jerry's aunt. It is a chocolate scented teddy bear that sings "Sugar, Sugar". It is cute and she dances to it.

Took the fiberoptic tree out of the box last night and shaped it. We wanted to make sure it worked. It is cute. "It's not much of a tree, but it's ours." (to quote Eeyore.) We need to get some small ornaments and garland for it.

Julie: We are going to ride Mission Space! Funny story about dinner in Canada.

Bonnie: Sorry work has been so dreadful lately. You need this vacation!

Lori: Glad everyone is on the mend.

Sally: When you have everything finished, you need to take pictures so we can see the results of all your hard work.

Sandy: I did better the last several days on my diet. Hopefully I will have postitive results come Wednesday.

Sue: Have fun with you Bingo money!

Barb: Welcome back!

I can't believe our trip is almost here. I am starting to put things on the shopping list, all my packing lists are printed off, the suitcases are out (we never put them away) and I am trying to come up with my plan of attack for getting ready next week.

I got the pizza buffet at Pizza Hut today with Clare. We don't have Bahama Breeze in Arkansas. In fact, I don't think that Arkansas acknowledges the Bahamas as existing.

Doing some shopping, getting in the X-mas mood.

I am so jealous about the Dec. Disney trip, you all think of us...

I know nothing of telescopes except a neighbor had one and I still had a hard time seeing anything.

Barb-I do (or did) Windsor Pilates...ordered it from TV...I love it!! I can do the 20 min...not the 45 minute but it sure does work!

Krista - no clue about telescopes. Maybe somebody else here can help out.

I received the Secret Santa package in the mail today. As instructed we are not opening it. It will go under the tree whenever we get one. For now it will go on the mantle to make sure Lord Stanley doesn't get into it! I guess I better get hopping to get mine in the mail.

Love you all but I have a Calgon bath waiting for me. After the work days I have had, somebody loves me and knows I need it!!

Sandy and Lori......really enjoyed the lunch.....They were so good...had soup and salad. Barb and I was so bad...we had pizza and onion rings.....

After we left you we went to the mall and I got Disney ornaments for my grandaughter for Christmas and a gold wire tree for the mantel to set by the candles....pretty.

Barb is picking me up about 6 to go to the mall down here to hang out as she says. Me, I go to eat.....

It was so windy when we left the mall up there and it felt colder. When we got home it wasn't near as cold....Dick and I went to Walmart to get a prescription filled for him and when we came out it was dark and windy. You could see it snowing downtown by the mountains but not here and it is much colder.

Didn't get a thing done on the house today....but it was a fun day to see our extended cruise family.....

So the COLARADO CUTIES had a good time. Did you bring THE DUDETTES with you? Did we have a good time & did you have a drink for us (not spill a drink on us!).

DENINE: Both you and Sandy are almost done your shopping. I'm jealous. My two sons were both born in December too - the 16th & 29th. I don't know what to buy either of them!

Let's see...Jeanne, Joyce, Denine, Jerry, Julie, Garry and all the kids will be in WDW 2 weeks from today anxiously awaiting the arrival of Sandy, Ted, Glenn and me!!!! Well, at this time of day they will be sound asleep while we are trekking to the airport!

2 weeks from today...Ben Vereen!!! Rita Moreno is the one who follows...she should be good also! Better if they would let them both dance!

Another day at work...it is calming down a bit thank heavens...spent the day helping out the ladies by putting members in their correct hospitals on line...not fun!

Susan...you got your secret gift already!!!! Someone is on the ball!!!

Anyone heard from Diana? Is she on the cruise yet? How about Darren...the prodical son gone missing again!!!

Wish I had been there for lunch...sounds a little calmer than the last pre cruice get together.

Sandy-Bushwakers!!!!! Sounds good!! Actually Glenn wants to experience in person what happens to me with Bushwakers!!!

Can not get out of the habit of waking up at 6 AM even when there is no work or dog in the house. Some habits are SOOOO hard to break.

Did Bonnie have to remind me that it is less than two weeks until WDW? As if I wasn't excited enough!

Need to go to the Post Office (as soon as it opens) & mail the family some Thanksgiving Day cards & buy stamps. I still do not have my "Pollyanna" totally together but someone is really on the ball.

Had a good time yesterday. Found the Bahama Breeze like
I knew where I was going!

Really enjoyed the mall. I sure do miss the Disney store. Glad we have one that we can at least get to.

Tiffany's boyfriend Andrew is going to Disney in December with us. He is really a nice guy. The excitement is building!!

Bonnie, I will bring the recipe and perhaps we can find someone to make it for us. Glenn, if you are lurking, it only takes ONE for Bonnie but we all had two to enhance the giggles for her. (tee hee)

Barb, that will be nice that Andrew goes with you in December. I know that we really enjoyed Bryan coming along. Bad part of it was, we do it commando style and he wasn't used to it. He loves Epcot Futureworld (correct name)? Probably innovations. We hate it. We just run in and take those pics for emails and then leave. Poor guy! Makes me miss him now. Shoot. Shouldn't have revisited old times!

I promised that I would bring all of you with us to lunch with us yesterday but forgot. Sorry, Jeanne. It would have been a good time because Lori only had water.

Wow, we really had wind yesterday. Leaving lunch I was all over the highway. It was scary. I thought of you Jeanne and your experience last week only I knew where I was going and it was light out.

Me too! That is the only thing I am ahead on....I have mine bought and ready to get ready to send. I did buy one gift up there but I am so behind for me.

Dick is ready to start laying the floor today.....now I get to be Amy Winn if you knew Trading Spaces.

I bought a sleigh and 3 reindeer to put outside when we were at the mall last night....just what I need is another box to store under the house. I want it on the roof but can't see that happening so I am going to clean out my flower bed under the picture window today and put it there. It is suppose to be 58 today and tomorrow and then it is suppose to snow ....also have to fill my bird feeders. Those little buggers can empty them pretty fast...

I could use a Bushwacker too. Jerry and I each had 1 when we were there last time. They are quite strong.

Warmer today, but windy and rainy.

My goal is to finish my Christmas shopping before we leave for WDW. I need to get my Christmas cards out of the attic so I can start working on them. I won't mail them until we get home though.

As long as everything works out, we are getting together with the Lauter's on Thursday for dinner and a cruise video. It was made by Beano (for those of you sailing with him next year), and is better than the free promotional video you get from DCL. The one from last year isn't as good, but still brings back good memories.

Hopefully I will be getting my flu shot this week. I tried to get it on Sunday, but we were out of the vaccine. I told the FT nurse to call me when she gets more in. We get them for free at work.
