Had a busy day today. Started out with Makenzie and her preschool class at the Olive Garden. We took a "mini tour" of the kitchen and then made individual pizzas. OF COURSE Lauter luck stuck again and out of the 53 pizzas that were made with her preschool, only Makenzie, mine, my nephew Joshua, and my Aunt's pizzas got burnt to a crisp! I mean black! SOOOOO, they did go ahead and make two larger pizzas for us to take home.
So instead of being there for an hour, we were there for almost 2!!

We then came home and she and the Big Guy played and ran around messing up the house (what else is new) . We then went over to my parents house for some ice cream cake.

I had a wonderful day! Garry is soooooo sweet!! I got a new leather jacket AND a dozen of the most beautiful orange roses!!!! Even though he had to work tonight, he made my birthday very special!

Well, gonna go. I'm pretty tired tonight. I will check back in later!

Glenn was here this weekend...what a weekend though.
No heat!!! Heater went, Still no heat as the guy is still putting in the new one. Got a new water heater also since that was 22 years old and it would be easier now with the furnace out than later. I am broke!!!! Beyond broke actuatlly and wdw coming up. Just my luck!!! Gee maybe I can have a fund raiser!

Sorry to hear of your mom's surgery Denine but it sounds like they got it in time. I figured she must have DM.

Sandy enjoy the truck. My down payment for the car went into the heater. Oh well, another 6 months of taking the bus!

We went to see Love Actually this weekend...it was a terrific movie ...funny. I recommend it. Glenn liked it also so don't think of it as a chick flick guys.

Off to work...sorry I haven't posted much lately. Don't even want to look at a computer the way work has been.

It is 5:30.....Dick has to be there at 6:30....I don't have any idea how long the test takes so I am taking a book and cellphone.

We had to get a new water heater when we came back from the cruise Bonnie. That is an expense you don't count on but can't do without. Any extra expense is bad this time of year.

Krista, Clare must have been adorable as a jellyfish. Hope to see the picture.

Remember I have been complaining about the words here being huge? Well, today they are back down to normal size without me doing a thing. Computers, gotta love them?!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone. Busy, busy day here. Had the day off for Veteran's Day. Shopped for a dress for formal night on the cruise. I have it narrowed down to 2 that are on clearance for under $40 each. I have them on hold and will make up my mind in the next couple of days.

Took Paul to the airport. He is in St. Louis for the next few days. Took Turner to hockey practice and they had team pictures made tonight.

Now time for showers and bed!!

I don't want to brag but my son bought me a new family room sofa & loveseat. I wanted a Williamsburg blue plaid sofa & finally found the set I wanted in Boscov's. It is light Williamsburg blue & white plaid with flowered toss pillows. It will be delivered on Friday. The house is getting ready...... for the BIG man!

Jeanne: Don't spend all your Disney money! Enjoy your new furniture.

We had a generally nice time yesterday despite the weather and Kaleigh screaming because she refused to take a nap. We bought snacks for the trip, staples for Christmas and Thanksgiving baking and a few Christmas presents. I am done shopping for the gift exchange!

It is supposed to be in the 60's today and 30's tomorrow with wind and snow.

We leave in a little more than 2 weeks!

A busy day ahead. Stacey just got out of her surgery with her knee and is doing fine. Heidi goes at 3:45 for her leep. I am taking my nails off at 2:00. Don't look at them at WDW as they will be a disaster.

How fun Jeanne. New furniture. Hmmmm, your son can call me mom. and then buy me a new set.

Poor Bonnie, you will still get that new car. I just know it.

Denine, you sound like you are well under way for the holidays!

Jeanne, don't spend all your money shopping. Save some for the trip!

Hi all!

I can't seem to get excited about WDW now after the heater disaster. Have to get out of this funk soon!

Work is awful. I should really stay late but can't seem to make myself do it...maybe tomorrow.
Have to give a verbal warning tomorrow regarding attendance to an associate then interview someone new...ugh! There goes more of my day. Most of today spent in meetings.

Denine! Already finished with the shopping for the gift exchange??? I imagine Jeanne will be close behind after shopping this week.

Well...maybe Peter, Paul and Mary will get me out of this funk on Saturday...Puff the Magic dragon lived by the sea, and frollicked in the autum mist in a land called...

Good morning everyone. Nothing new. Both girls are fine. Sore but fine. And me? Tired of running around like a mad man yesterday. I almost look forward to staying at home with Graci today.

Bonnie, you have to get out of that funk. I really think that you NEED this vacation and then you will be fine. You have been so busy at work that you just need to have some R&R. How about if I bring our bushwacker recipe and we have a drink there?

Today is an awful, nasty day!!!!!!!!!!! We are having wind gusts up to 60 mph with sustained winds in the 30's. We are having Lake Effect snow showers and it is COLD!!!!!!! I am ready to go back to WDW!!!!!!!

Sandy: Glad the girls are both fine after their procedures.

I am giving up eating. I gained a pound this week and we have been walking

Poor Denine....I know what you mean....you can eat a candy bar and put on a pound and you can go without food for a day and it doesn't help a bit.

It was a little cold yesterday and they said we could have snow but it didn't happen. It is after 8:30 and no sun yet.

Dick started pulling up the carpet yesterday...what a job. Did I say I would be glad when this is done...lol

There is no way I am going to be able to put up a tree at the rate things are getting done. It doesn't bother Dick at all but it is driving me bananas....all my work that I can do so far is done.

Haven't even started my Christmas shopping and am just not in the mood. ...better happen soon.

The sun is shinning and it is 39.....

I am limping around...,.I ran into a box last night and hurt my toe... hope it isn't broken....it sure hurts when I walk so I am doing the sensible thing and not walking....I am playing on the computer....mindless thing to do.

I guess I will go scrapbook...got some new CM supplies yesterday and they have come out with a new refillable tape runner....med and small and some cute stickers.

Sandy, it looks like taking care of your kids never stops, huh? I'll make a note of that. Glad they are doing well and have you to 'mother' them back to strength.

The popcorn saga nears the end for the season. Only one person blew off the part about 'paying' for the popcorn. One guess who. That b**** that used to be Katie's Girl Scout leader and embezzled their cookie proceeds. She's also one of the Cub Scout den leaders. Such a stellar example for the kids she leads. I'm not going to play the game with her this time. I'm just SO done with that woman. It's a shame that the Pack will lose that from their profits, but I'll leave it to the treasurer and Pack Master (who happens to be her husband) to follow up from here, if at all.

Let's see, tons of kids out sick from the schools, Katie included. Cody had a stomach flu Sunday night but was better by Monday morning, just needed to catch up on lost sleep. I guess his flu shot helped him out a bit on that one. Other kids are missing whole weeks with it. Katie and Ben both have colds. I feel GREAT! Oops, had to knock on my head (wood)there.

Good luck on the house Sally. Maybe you can slip some extra caffeine into Dick's beverages. Or, maybe you can start decorating less common areas. Places he'll notice. Let's see. When he lifts the toilet seat, some lovely sparkly garland can be hanging from it. Think he'd get the hint? LOL? OK everyone, we need more decorating ideas for Sally before withdrawals set in.
Still looking for a truck name too. (I'd say Nelly as in "whoa Nelly" but there's already a Nelly in that family)

Lori the problem with that is Dick doesn't notice anything I swear. I always said I could bring in all new furniture and unless I put it someplace he would fall over he wouldn't notice. The house has been torn up since we got home in Oct and it doesn't bother him at all. If he had married someone like him they could be on the program that goes in messy houses and redo them.

Now garland on the toilet seat might get his attention because it would be scratchy......lol

The sun is down now and it is 40.....it looks like it is getting kind of dark out.

Thanks Lori for making me look like a complete idiot. I am sitting in the office laughing out loud. I am sure Heidi is thinking "she's losing it". I like the whoa Nelly thing and it might help this Nelly lose the name! I can't believe that women. I really feel sorry for you working with that b***. It is good that the Pack Master hubby finds out!

Sally, I broke my little toe years ago while being chased by my brother in the house. It is soooooo painful and nothing they can do for you. My toe is turned sideways now. I really feel for you.

Thanks Sandy....it isn't any better and still hurts when I walk...even when I sit but not as bad. Dick says it is probably just a sprain....but he isn't much of a doctor. Years ago our son broke his arm and he told me to soak it as it wasn't broken because he could move his fingers.....but I took him to the doctor the next day and it was broken.

Hi!! Been real busy the last couple of days. I pick Paul up at the airport in little over an hour. We sure did miss him but he says he a had a good trip overall.

I bought my formal dress this evening for the cruise. Total with tax was just $21.39. Can you believe it?? It is just gorgeous. I need shoes for it but at that price who could resist. It is a seafoam green wit some beautiful embroidery and tiny beads on the camisole top and the bottom of the back side of the skirt. No alterations required!!

Bonnie, sorry to hear about the home repairs. Put is behind you and remember how much fun is just ahead of you in Florida!

Glad to hear the girls are doing OK, Sandy. My brother's truck is "Leonard" because the top for the bed came from the Leonard dealer.

Sorry to hear about the toe, Sally.

Lori, stay calm and if all else fails have some chocolate caramel corn!! Gotta love it!!

Hope Jeanne and Joyce don't spend too much money this weekend!

Paul is home but the airline lost his luggage. Hopefully it will turn up today.
