Sandy, you might try taking your dress to a bridal store to see if they will steam it. I know that when I worked at the bridal store that we would VERY carefully steam sequined gowns. You don't want to stretch the material out and the sequins can melt if too hot. After the wedding, see about sending it away to get "wedding gown cleaned". Some of those places that you send the dresses to and come back boxed up do clean gowns too. It is something to look into. Good luck. If you can't find anyone to steam the dress, just give me a call and I'll come and steam it. I DO know how!! Plus, I could be your "instant wedding assitant" for eveyone. I had several brides ask me to help them on the day of their wedding.
One thing you want to remember on the day of the weding is the "bridal bag". A duff bag or the like filled with things that you really wouldn't think of the day of the wedding. Asprin, extra nylons, isotoner slippers or the like for the reception, anti-acids, deoderant, bag of makeup, brush, comb, hair spray for everyone to use including the bridesmaids (too much stuff can get in the way so if it is all in one bag it is easily remembered. I would get those gallon or two gallon baggies made by hefty and write each girls name on it and tell them they could put whatever they need in it and it will go into the bridal bag. The bridesmaids usually go to the bathroom together anyways!), female products -you never know, CLEAR nail polish for emergency runs or nail problems, some people put in smelling salts, bandaids, small sewing kit, kaopectate (sp) for those people who get REAL nervous and can't stop if you know what I mean, one or two bottles of water, kleenex, eye drops or rewetting drops for those who wear contacts, extra set of contacts, etc. you get the idea. THEN have someone in the wedding party, SOMEONE you trust to remember to be incharge of the bag. They are the ones who bring it everywhere. It really isn't that big, but it is better then everyone carrying along a bag of stuff. Once at the reception it can be placed under the table so it isn't noticable. It usally works out very well. Just another suggestion.
Well, I have my ultrasound tomorrow. I have to go to Beachwood to see a "special ultrasound doctor" from the Cleveland Clinic. My doctor didn't say that there was anything wrong. I think that because I got prego two weeks after I miscarried (opps did I tell everyone that? sorry) or so they say, he just wants to play it safe. I'm a case study at Case Western Reserve College because of that. Supposedly, they tell me that after you miscarry you may not ovulate for up to three months after it. Is that right all you nurses? SO they tell me that I did two weeks after I misscarried. You go figure! I will let you know how things come out. I still haven't made up my mind to find out what I am having. I have one of each so I'm prepared for either one. I really didn't know what I was having with Makenzie or Garry but Big Garry knew with both. The ultrasound woman slipped last time and called the Big Guy junior during the ultrasound and I didn't pick up on it but Garry did. SO he knew right from the start. Makenzie we had her write it down on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope and sealed it. Two hours after it, I told Garry that I wanted to know and to open it. He did, looked at it, and then put it away and told me I didn't want to know. And he never told me!! So, I'm not sure yet.
Well, sorry I'm rambling on. Very HOT today!!!!!!!!!! Going to go to bed and try to cool off. Will check back in tomorrow!
Take Care everyone!
Olive Garden here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
