Always the rollercoaster you guys are. Yeah Turners wrist is better, whaaa Jason has gone, huh...??? with Bonnie, yeah pounds are dropping. Whew, I'm beat.

Night all.

Your post made me laugh Lori! Thanks for the great post!

Have a good trip Susan!

My last post before I leave. I will miss you guys. The DISBoard is part of my daily routine. You all behave and I'll soak up some sun for all of you (especially you, Denine).

Case of Corona Light, Sangria & Wine Coolers are in the Jeep & ready to head to Ocean City, New Jersey, but we are hoping the weather will cooperate for the Craft Fair (who cares if it rains during our drinking time). The Craft Fair is early Saturday morning & it is supposed to rain Friday into Saturday so who knows. Is the weatherman ever correct?

I am getting asphyxiated right now since I put epoxy in my bathroom. I had a new tile surround installed since the ceramic tile was leaking AGAIN! I loved my ceramic tile but I just can't deal with this leaking & leaking & leaking and it would have cost a fortune to redo since it would have to be pulled out to replace the walls behind the tile but I hate the new shower surround. I am redoing the floor since the shower floor looked so dirty (from age) compared to the new shower surround.

Today is even dreary. Where's the sun?:sunny: I WANT THE SUN!

Hope you all have a safe & fun weekend. Toodles  :earsgirl: JEANNE

(Hummm, better hope Garry doesn't go to far with this one.) You know, I must agree that drinking a cold beer in the shower isn't half bad, not quite like the hottub ... now you really have to watch out not to spill wine on those floors though. It stains them just enough to make them look OLD. Huh, Julie. Oh wait, what am I thinkin. Julie's got the big guy.
OK, I've got my being a little brat fix for the day. Thanks! Have a great time Jeanne! (Take that Sangria out with you for a dance in the rain!)

We made it to May!!!!!!!! Only a little over 2 weeks and then some much deserved vacation time!!!!!

Sue: Have a great time! Definitely soak up some sun for me. It is supposed to be 77 today, with storms but in the 50's again the next 2 days.

Kaleigh was an absolute angel for her pictures! We had a coupon for 48 pictures for $6 at Sears. Since we did the smile savers thing, we didn't have to pay sitting fees. The thing is, they take a picture, you decide if you want it or keep it. You get the 1st accepted picture, you can't go back to any you rejected. She was perfect the 1st time. They took a few more pictures, but none were as good. And, she ate the applesauce.
She has separation anxiety......from daddy. She was fine all day, until he came home. If Jerry left the room, she started crying. It is bad after the weekend because, where is daddy?????

My lilacs are in bloom in the backyard. I hope the ones in the front bloom before we leave. They smell so niiiiice!

Topic of the day: What is your favorite time of day? Right now, it is in the middle of the afternoon, Kaleigh is napping and the house is quiet. The doors are open and I can hear the birds and my windchimes. I get whiffs of the sweet smell of my vibernum and feel the fresh air while sitting on my couch doing my needlework. (We just won't mention the sound of traffic from the turnpike behind us.)

Lori: Did you ever make that pork for the luau? If so, how was it?

Jeanne: have a great time!

Sandy: We have a curves by us. I have heard good stories about it. I just hate to exercise, but I love to walk outdoors. That is what makes the cold so frustrating. I love to be outside and can't. We live 5 minutes walking distance from the Metro Parks. We walk to the covered bridge and back. There are 3 hills, 2 small, but steep and 1 big. The big one is at the beginning and end of the walk. It gets me everytime. It is about 3 miles round trip.

Two of my residents died this week. The one I told you about and one I didn't tell you about, but she was on hospice. The problem is, the funeral for Mary is Saturday morning. I work this weekend. If Wally (her husband) doesn't stay with his kids tomorrow night, then I have to see him before he leaves. I really hate that! I have known them both for over 2 years. It is going to be an emotionally difficult weekend! I walked for Mary in the Alzheimer's walk the year before last. Didn't do it last year because we were cruising. Some losses are definitely more difficult than others! Sometimes I wish I worked in a happy place like Jeanne & Joyce, even though there can be heartbreaks there too.
Sorry to go on, I just needed to talk about it.

Jeanne, have a terrific weekend. Sure wish I was going. Drink a Strawberry Daquiri wine cooler for me. Give Joyce a hug from Ted and I.

Denine, I am so sorry about the loss of your two patients. I just can't see how you can do it. I have always said that about you. It has to be so difficult. Thank God that he sent wonderful people like you to help in our final days. So glad that Kaleigh was good for the pics. We tried one time when the girls were like a year or so. Tried and tried. The photographer got mad and said out loud, "damn girls". He snapped it and called it quits. When we got the proofs back the salesperson talked us into keeping the one with the girls crying and said that it would be one of our favorite pictures when they got older. So glad that we listened to him as I adore that picture of them so much.

Lori, you crack me up!!

Adios Susan, have a great time.

Sally, I have the phonebook opened up to Curves. Plan on calling them next. Thanks Denine for your input. I am always concerned because I can't do anything too physical. I have arthritis in my shoulder, bad knee, bad back and my feet have had surgery where walking makes it extremely painful. That leaves me to?????? Swimming is great but I HATE sharing lanes. Also, when I swim I don't lose weight, I just stay the same because of the muscle. Numbers mean a lot to me. Not right but that is how I feel.

Gotta go. Have a ton planned for today. It has been a pleasant week. No daycare because the kids grandparents are here from Iowa and my friend and her husband flew to Key West. Just had to pick Noah up at preschool on Tues to take him to his house. Not bad.

HAPPY MAY DAY EVERYONE!

Sandy that is what is so great about curves....they ask you what problems you have and tell you what you can do not to hurt yourself....my friend that just joined had knee surgery and she is able to do all the machines...they told her if any hurt her to let them know and they would help her find a different way to do them or to just leave them out.

I have never gotten sore from the machines as you have to stretch afterwards and that does keep the soreness down.

Good luck....hope it is something you would like

Sally, I have an appt at 11:30 on Monday. I held off because to join this week would have been 59.00 and to join next week will be 4.00 due to their 4th anniversary. It is quite close to home. Can you visit any curves or does it have to be the one you joined? I like the neighborhood of another one better. Thanks.

Moi?! Go too far with something? On the contrary, I have to agree with the beer in the shower thing! That way, you don't even have to excuse yourself from the party when all that beer sneaks up on you! But the hot tub...well, that's just gross.

You can go to any Curves in the United States you want to....I think you need a traveling card. and that way you can go on vacation..why don't you just join the other one? I know my friend just paid $59 to join.....what is the $4..the total joining fee?

Garry: LOL!!!!!!

Ben & Lori: Happy anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sandy: Thanks!

We had such a craving for hamburgers yesterday that we went to Friday's. I think I did pretty well. It was soooo worth it!

Krista: Aren't you leaving soon for St. Thomas?

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

How funny, Denine! I was thinking that it was time for Krista's trip, also. Have a wonderful trip, Krista and check back in with us.

:bounce: :Pinkbounc HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, LORI AND BEN! :Pinkbounc :bounce: Hope you celebrated in style!

Sally, the $4.00 is the start up fee rather than the $59.00. Not too bad of a savings!

Julie and Garry, hope that house is almost complete. Isn't it a big pain in the ****!

Have a great day everyone! When does Bonnie come back?

Oh wow! The UPS guy just brought me the stuff I ordered from Steiner, the sampler package for my friend graduating from college next week. It smells so good!!!!! It smells exactly like the spa itself!!!!!!! Oh how I wish I were cruising and getting a massage and facial. I could really use both!!!!!

Wow, Sandy what a deal!! How much is your monthly fee....I have mine taken from our checking account and it is $29 a month for a year and then you can go month to month.

Happy Anniversary Lori and Ben....many, many more!!

Sally, same thing for me. It will be 29.00 per month and HAS to be taken out of our account. Hate that and told them that. Of course I understand that it is corporate rules and not theirs. It is a year contract. Didn't know that you can go month to month after that. I am happy with that!! How long have you been a member?

I joined last year the end of August. I intend to stay a member for how ever long I like it. There are ladies that have been members for the 4 years they have been opened at that location. It is a strength building program as well as losing weight and I think the older you get the more you need to keep your strength built up.

When do you start? Did they ask you about any medical problems like knees, back, etc. Here they are so good about watching you don't overdue. I have never gotten sore but I do the stretching afterwards and she said it will keep you from being sore and it is very important and not to skip it.

I don't know what they told you but here she said do the first 4 machines slow, then work them hard until the 3rd round and do the last 4 machines slow to bring your heart rate down.

Happy Anniversary Ben and Lori!!!!! Belated anyway.

Sorry, no clipart from here.

I get home very late on Sunday so you all probably won't hear from me until Monday.

Have a great weekend.

Miss you all!!!!!

Hi all! Here is my daily check in! Well, I finished the wallpaper today and then started to paint the remaining walls in the kitchen. The boarder goes up tomorrow. Denine...... if you, Kaleigh and Jerry come Saturday........ NO LAUGHING! I try to think I am on Trading Spaces and come up with "wonderful" rooms...... but Frank or Vern I am not! I try my best! I look at it this way...... at first you try and don't succeed... keep trying until you get it right OR hire someone else to do it!\

Krista, If you have gone already I hope you have a great time.... If you haven't gone yet...... think of me and have a drink for me! HAVE A SUPER TIME! Wave at the The Magic for me! Maybe Darren will be "on leave" and you can say Hi to him from all of us!

Thanks for the well wishes. This was our 11th. (So I definitely qualify for HIS social security benefit level now! LOL) You know ... it's the important stuff.
I wonder if Krista e-mailed Darren that she's be there?

Ben is at a huge event in Boulder today helping our wine distributor friend sell VAMP energy drink. Same maker as the Vampire wine some of you tried at the wine party. He's always wanted to go to this event (KBCO Kinetics) but the entry fee is high, so he wasn't too hard to talk into going. There's a race on the reservoir of homemade human power craft then concerts. He's doing a booth that has a good view of the stage. Getting paid too!
I get to take Cody to his soccer game. (I think I got the better end of the deal, as Ben had to get up at 5am and I rolled out at 9)
Well, that's the day in the life of Lori, in case anyone was wondering LOL.
Krista is flying high. I still have my St. Thomas post card on the fridge. Ahhhh.
Have a great weekend everyone. Good luck with those walls Julie.
