We made it to May!!!!!!!! Only a little over 2 weeks and then some much deserved vacation time!!!!!
Sue: Have a great time! Definitely soak up some sun for me. It is supposed to be 77 today, with storms but in the 50's again the next 2 days.
Kaleigh was an absolute angel for her pictures! We had a coupon for 48 pictures for $6 at Sears. Since we did the smile savers thing, we didn't have to pay sitting fees. The thing is, they take a picture, you decide if you want it or keep it. You get the 1st accepted picture, you can't go back to any you rejected. She was perfect the 1st time. They took a few more pictures, but none were as good. And, she ate the applesauce.
She has separation anxiety......from daddy. She was fine all day, until he came home. If Jerry left the room, she started crying. It is bad after the weekend because, where is daddy?????
My lilacs are in bloom in the backyard. I hope the ones in the front bloom before we leave. They smell so niiiiice!
Topic of the day: What is your favorite time of day? Right now, it is in the middle of the afternoon, Kaleigh is napping and the house is quiet. The doors are open and I can hear the birds and my windchimes. I get whiffs of the sweet smell of my vibernum and feel the fresh air while sitting on my couch doing my needlework. (We just won't mention the sound of traffic from the turnpike behind us.)
Lori: Did you ever make that pork for the luau? If so, how was it?
Jeanne: have a great time!
Sandy: We have a curves by us. I have heard good stories about it. I just hate to exercise, but I love to walk outdoors. That is what makes the cold so frustrating. I love to be outside and can't. We live 5 minutes walking distance from the Metro Parks. We walk to the covered bridge and back. There are 3 hills, 2 small, but steep and 1 big. The big one is at the beginning and end of the walk. It gets me everytime. It is about 3 miles round trip.
Two of my residents died this week. The one I told you about and one I didn't tell you about, but she was on hospice. The problem is, the funeral for Mary is Saturday morning. I work this weekend. If Wally (her husband) doesn't stay with his kids tomorrow night, then I have to see him before he leaves. I really hate that! I have known them both for over 2 years. It is going to be an emotionally difficult weekend! I walked for Mary in the Alzheimer's walk the year before last. Didn't do it last year because we were cruising. Some losses are definitely more difficult than others! Sometimes I wish I worked in a happy place like Jeanne & Joyce, even though there can be heartbreaks there too.
Sorry to go on, I just needed to talk about it.
