Just checking in before leaving...Where are you all????

Beautiful day here...Glorious!!!, Magnificent!!! Perfect!!!

Ok...enough about the weather....just bouncing a bit

Have a good weekend all

I'm here, Bonnie!! Ted is at an elderly frriends house shoveling to get her out and then it is back to his dad's house. He hasn't been plowed out YET! Can't get a car to him so Ted will have to trudge through the snow on foot to get to his dad. That is what you get when you live in the mtns!! His family handles it well, it is all the new people up there that expect too much from the county. Those people wanted away from the city but don't want to accept the consequences.

Lori, thanks for the pictures. The size was perfect. We need to figure out how to send the digital pics ourselves. We did get snow, didn't we!! They are still talking about a big one this next Friday. Will have to go out and replenish our supplies.

Sue, sounds like you have a good weekend ahead. AND your diet is progressing nice. Now get me motivated, please. With this storm and Heidi's depression food is going in me at a rapid pace. Calgon take me away!

Sandy - drink lots of water and go play in the snow. That will burn some calories. Remember that veggies are good choices!

I went out and played a round of miniature golf with Turner today in shorts!!! The weather here is just gorgeous. It hasn't been this nice 2 days in a row in soooo long. Tomorrow is going to be another one! I think we're going to play a round of golf tomorrow. Everything needs to dry out a little bit more for me.

Bon Jovi tonight and the GooGoo Dolls. I'll give an update tomorrow. Hope everyone else has a great weekend.

Later!

Just got home!! OMG!! The concert was AWESOME!!!! Our seats were about 20 feet from the stage. The GooGoo Dolls played for about an hour and Bon Jovi for 2 1/2 hours!! I may never be able to hear again. My ears are ringing still!! Girls night out was a blast!!

Had to share my excitement!!
Later!

Only Sandy and 2 Sue notes!!!!!
Just because I am not available for the weekend....Tee Hee...you all slack off??????

Had a terrific day yesterday...we saw the Olympia and a WWII Sub. The sub was interesting but the Olympia is beautiful! The woodwork is incredible! Fascinating.

Today undecided what to do...May head towrds Brandywine River Museum....that way we can get outside, air, walk, and see my son and DIL to boot.

Oh well...have a good day all!!! I will.

Another cold, damp day here, yuck!

Lori: We still have the same e-mail, although I have been blocking some domains. If you sent it from hilorz, I should have gotten the pictures.

Had to work yesterday and today. Normally I don't mind going, but I just didn't feel like it this weekend.

Diana: Glad to hear from you!

I need vacation!

Sue: It sounds like you had a fanastic time!

Hi guys! Nothing new here. Just checking in. A movie and lunch this afternoon with Heidi. Ted and I got his dad dug out. OMG--the banks were way over our heads. At the end, I couldn't throw high enough. Stiff and sore now! Sue, I can tell that you had a fantastic time. Wow, nice seats! I told you guys that our tablemates wrote us about the weather so I wrote them back and told them of our reunion cruise in 2004. Now they are thinking about it, also. What fun!

Raked leaves all day Saturday & now I can't move! I used muscles I haven't used in ages. The back of the house is shaping up but I do need lots of mulch & plants.

Sue: Just remember Bon Jovi is a fellow New Jerseyan!

Sandy: I can't believe all the snow you got in Colorado. I will NEVER complain about our two feet again.

I was supposed to work 12 hours Saturday night but was cancelled. It would have been "critical pay" so I was looking forward to that extra money.

The retirement party on Friday was really fun. I saw Joyce (since I don't get to work with her all the time) & we had a great time.
It started at 4:00 PM & they had happy hour from 4-6 with $1.00 drafts. I was in my glory!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hope you all have a great week! Toodles  :earsgirl: JEANNE

Another sunny warm day today. We played a round of golf today and I wore shorts! Denine, wish you could be sharing our weather. It has made such a difference in my attitude!! I am definitely not a winter person.

Another day of making good food choices and I walked the course today instead of riding in the cart. That should count for something. Hopefully Wednesday's weigh will bring good news! Sandy, you should do nicely since you shoveled all that snow!

The boss will be back tomorrow. I never thought I'd say this, but boy will I be glad. I had to handle too many things for her while she was out plus get all my work done. I hope she enjoyed St. John. I know I would have!

Darren, should be back on the eastern this week, right? Hope we hear from him soon.

Hope Bonnie is having a great weekend.

Jeanne, I should have worked in the yard today but I played instead. Hope the soreness goes away soon. Please tell Joyce the Schrolls say hello.

Later!

YUK...waiting for the repairman...Glenn noticed the food in the freezer was soft and the drinks not very cold in the fridge....Repairman on the way.

Had a great weekend. saw some sights, cool stuff...after the refridge is fixed...if I have money left over!! off to Phil to see sights...a little...very little...shopping.

Where is everyone!???

Hi guys! Same ol stuff around here. Glad the concert was great Susan. Those 'Lady's nights' are too few and far between for me. I suppose I should do something about that:rolleyes:
I don't know Denine, it said not a known member. Humm, well, you'll just have to take my word for it that Jaymee does exist and the snow was high!
Wow, even the refrigerator can't stay cool at Bonnie's place.
Later Gators, Lori

Good Morning and Happy Monday!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

My latest dilemma: Tiffany and dating.
She now has a boyfriend who is a junior and she is a freshman.
and she is wanting to date. I told her a long time ago that she could "group" date this summer and "date date" when she turns 16 next January. She is not understanding why I a not letting her group date now. She is wearing me down already! I am wondering if I am being to protective. We interview the boys that want to take our girls out, that is required and they don't mind. I have meet Nathan he seems really nice. Jaymee has know him for years and she likes him. Tiffany wants us to inview him tonight. I had not planned on starting the interview process with her until this summer. Anybody have any comments??

Barb

I believe in group dating!! That is how our girls did it and that is how I did it. The junior vs. freshman thing kind of scares me, though. How about having him over for games and snacks WITH the family for a few times and see how comfortable you feel after that. Then demand that it be a large group if they go out if you approve. I am just like you and do not believe in dating BEFORE 16. We were firm on that. We always knew who they were with before hand because I was very active in school so we never needed the "interview" stage.

More snow today and Friday. Not bad though because we are melting rapidly.

Sorry about your refrig., Bonnie. That on top of wanting to buy a car. Money, money, money. Good luck tomorrow on the new job!

Susan, I am sure I am in trouble with the weight because I did over eat. BUT shoveling did help. Especially the amount we did in the mtns for Ted's dad!!

Well, Heidi talked to Bryan over the weekend and now he would like to talk to her on Saturday. He said that he isn't being "fair" to her. What the heck does that mean??????? Now her best friends husband said that he would like to move to Florida without Heidi's friend because he loves her but is not in love with her. What is it........in the air???

Hi, everyone. It's 6:00pm and 70 degrees. What more can you ask for? I am really getting spoiled by the beautifu weather.

Sorry about the fridge, Bonnie. Hope it's nothing serious.

Sandy - Heidi's friend's husband might not be telling the whole story. You don't just move across the country without your wife when you love someone but are not "in love". Do you?? Tell Heidi to be careful with Bryan. I would hate to see her get hurt again.

Barb - no advice from me since my son is only 8. I like Sandy's idea of the family get togethers with snacks and games.

Lori - you definitely need a ladies night out. Every woman does!!

Not much going on here. Just watching what I eat and praying the scales are kind on Wednesday!

Later!

If you had something better than a veggie burger for dinner you have nothing to envy!!

HI guys! Oh joy, we got a little more SNOW today!:p
Sandy, we've GOT to get together for lunch soon! Your cookies have been whispering sweet nothings into my ears in the evenings.
I was hoping that I would have this Wed free, but NO, I'm going to work, in order to get Friday off. We were supposed to go to the mountains last weekend but NO, Ben ended up working Friday. His work was canceled Thurs because they thought the roof was sagging. He was well on his way in (but NO) when they called. Here's the clincher .... they are making the employees count that day plus the snow day before it as vacation/sick days! That bites! He ended up going in Fri to save a vacation day, then going on up straight from work that night. I was going to go too, (but NO!) my back hurt too much from shoveling snow!
This weekend is finally MY TURN to go too! Almost a ladies night Susan. YES, YES, YES!
SO, we leave Thursday morning thru Sunday. Don't send out the Mounties for me! The hope is to be up there before the Thursday storm comes in. (The next hope is that the house is still standing when we return)

So what's with the men in our young women's lives? I'd be a nervous Heidi to hear whatever he has to say. Tiffany needs to hang in there till 16! Be strong Barb! Nobody said that being right was easy!
Well. That was a wordy check in, huh.
See ya'll. Lori

Of course never really gone since I did post!!! That says alot about you ladies...since we lost all the guys.

Shopped for fridge today with Glenn before leaving for the airport... we do have unusual weekends! LOL! But enjoyable no matter what. OK...check out the new counter everyone!!! I couldn't resist! Too excited...the weeks will crawl by unfortunately.

Hi all! Sorry I haven't posted for awhile. I am ashame to say it, but I have been lurking! I was busy doing nothing all weekend (have you ever had one of those? You were busy but can't remember exactly what you REALLY did but it took up time?)

Barb, I agree with Sandy. Hold firm on the 16 dating, but a few family nights to "get to know him" might work out. Then maybe the large group dating. I really can't give any real advice since mine are two little for that and my stepdaughter is only 12 and has NO interest in boys! May it stay that way for awhile!

So Bonnie, did you get a new frig? and I have to say:GOOD LUCK ON THE NEW JOB !!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW THAT YOU WILL HAVE A SUPER DAY!

And let me be the first to also say:

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO KRISTA AND DAVE!!!!!!!!

How many years has it been? It is our 8th! We hope you have a great day too!! Garry has to work tonight, so we will be celebrating this weekend.

Susan, keep going on the diet! You are doing great! You and Denine should send out self help tapes to the rest of us!

Sandy, tell Heidi to becareful this weekend. I don't want to see her get hurt by him again. Sounds like he IS being selffish, so I think he might need time to grow up. Just tell Heidi that we are all here for her!

Everyone have a super day today!
