How much Ginger Ale ... or is that the part you're going to keep secret and only sell out to the highest bidder?

I stopped getting e-mail notifications again. Good thing I always know that someone will most certainly have posted. I can't edit my own posts either. Anyone else experiencing that?

I think I'd just go to Florida for the tail gate party! I don't think that I'd feel like one after a cruise though. I guess I don't have a good disembarkation experience to compare with though. We were pretty low on energy that morning as the colds were taking hold. Still, we really do have to get together guys.

Barb's punch recipe is the same one I have from my recipe book. The ginger ale is by sight (or at least that is how my family does it) or about a 2 liter.

Today was suppose to be really nice, BUT it was cloudy, real cloudy! It even sprinkled a few times too. So much for good weather in Ohio. We are suppose to get hit again this week with RAIN RAIN and more RAIN!!!!!!!!!

Bonnie, how's the dress coming? I can't wait to see it.

Lori, our disembarkation wasn't too bad except for the cold weather. We still had a few days in WDW after the cruise and it did take A LOT out of us too.

I hope to finish the dress today. I have the bodice attached to the overlay, all I have to do is sew and attach the satin skirt under the overlay, button holes...yuk! and buttons ribbon and all finished!!!!!!! I hope to get that all done today.

Went into Philly yesterday to look for a different organza...Melinda was determined to have crosses on the gown. The last store on Fabric row had an embroidered organza with crosses and othre design on it....totally changes the look of the gown but it is pretty.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday but sew, sew, sew!!!!

Will be babysitting next Friday night! I can't wait. It will be a long day...I imagine when Olivia crashes for the night I will also.

Punch recipe sounds great...actually could add the sherbert floating in it for some extra pizazz.

I am here all day so will check in.

We had rain a few days in North Carolina & the ocean was really COLD:eek: We all still managed to have a good time. Went to the N.C. Aquarium & loved it, "Daredevils" baseball game -rained, visited Hatteras & took the ferry to Ocrakoke, played numerous games of mini-golf. Dodger was REALLY good!

SANDY: Congratulations on winning your battle with Motor Vehicles.

BONNIE: You are just TOOOOOOOO talented!

Off tomorrow (to recover from vacation) & then back to work Tuesday.

Hope you all have a great week. TOODLES  :earsgirl: JEANNE

We are back, again. Nice weekend. Rained ALOT last night which was good. Horrible lightening.

Barb, we had hamburgers at Red Top. Ever been there? Huge hamburgers. Can get halfs.

Bonnie, you are doing so good. Proud of you. Almost done. Hang in there.

Lori, wow, have any time for R&R??

Julie and Barb, thanks for the 2 recipes. Will run them by Heidi. I think Barbs with grenadine sounds like Heidi and Stacey.

Mom, hate hearing that you still aren't up to par. You might need to insist on seeing your Dr.

Lori, no notifications here either. Haven't edited since Thurs or Fri.

Now I am looking for recipes for the meal portion of the shower. Any ideas? Meat, salads, casseroles, veggies, side dishes, appetizers?? I decided not to make a dessert as Heidi will have cake.

Actually shouldn't be on the computer. We are having horrific lightening again. Some rain, mostly lightening.

Talk to you tomorrow. Thanks again for any recipes for the meal portion of the shower.

Sandy, sending you a recipe.

Hi! I'm finally home again. Came home for a 15 min break today as my sister was visiting my house without me! We're going to try and coordinate a trip to Hawaii for this years fall break. Yippee. A 2004 cruise is still a possibility, however.

AC gets installed Wed! So, Barb, Sally and Sandy. The hot weather will be done with now. It's Murphy's Law. We are having to get an upgraded electric panel since all of the 220 hookups were being used already in the current one. And we need a new furnace so that it can accommodate the extra blower, etc., needed to get a bit of cool air thru the too small ducts to the upstairs. Oh, and they need to bash some new intake vents into the upstairs hallway at ceiling level. WALA! And to think, I could have afforded a 7day Disney cruise for the same cost. Well, it will finally be done and our furnace was 20 years old anyway.

How was everyone's weekend?

Hi All! Just checking in. Glad to see you had a nice vacation Jeanne! It is raining here AGAIN!!!!!!!!! The Ark is built and ready to set sail!!!!!!

Well, gonna go. Glad to see everyone checking in after their weekend! I had my cousin's baby shower today nothing else going on except rain!! Will check in tomorrow!!!!

Sandy.................you got the hints:teeth:! I'll explain all in detail later!

Back from a nice weekend in Roanoke. Came back and enjoyed the reunion with former co-workers. Now it's back to work and the norm around here. I've read all the posts. NHice to see something to read when I got back. I gotta go get ready for work. I'll post more this evening.

Later!

Good morning. I have the kids all week so this shall be an interesting week. I end it with a trip to the dentist with the kids mom. How funny. Is that something like the two evils?

Lori, you are a doll. Thanks for the recipe especially at a busy time for you. I think it sounds yummy! I would love AC but Ted thinks that I am too cheap to pay for it to run. The swamp cooler does a marvelous job but I am tired of the humidity in the house plus when it is humid it doesn't really work all that great.

Julie, :teeth:

Welcome back to reality Susan.

Jeanne, welcome back also. I missed your post earlier. We must have crossed posted yesterday. Glad you had a good time despite the weather and cold ocean. What I would do for a cold dip in the ocean!!!!!!!!

Well, guess I will try and read the newspaper before the kids get here. Have a great week everyone. Sandy

Good Morning!!

Here we are back for another fun filled week!! I had such a
productive weekend. Cleaned Cleaned Cleaned!! The room for the intern is almost ready. I just have to get sheets, comforter, new blind, and the headboard for the bed.

Got Tiffany school supplies bought. Took about $100. Yikes!! and that doesn't even include her clothes!! Hope that child tax refund gets here soon!!

The punch takes on of those bottles of gingerale. I guess it is a 2 liter?? The sherbert floating on the top sounds interesting......

How's the dress coming along Bonnie?? Send pictures.

Wows the weather in Ohio?? I heard on the radio this morning there was lots of flooding.

We to the driving range last night. I really enjoy golf but am wondering if I will ever be able to keep up.

Barb:smooth:

Good Morning Sandy!!

Ho hummmm I am not bright eyed and cheery this morning.
I would rather be home.

I have been to Red Top. It is pretty good. Darn biggest buns I have ever seen!

Barb:smooth:

Good morning. Sorry I haven't posted. We have been busy doing nothing.

Friday we took Kaleigh up to the lake and put her on a swing for the 1st time. She loved it. We sat on a stone wall that went out into the lake and just watched the waves come in and the boats and jet skis go by. It was very peaceful. We needed that.

I worked this weekend. My parents came over Saturday evening before going to a reunion dinner. They wanted to see Kaleigh crawl.

Wow! Did it rain yesterday! It was raining in sheets, sideways. Luckily we have not had any flooding, but there has been a lot. Our ground is saturated! It is not supposed to rain today, but it sure looks like it is gonna.

Bonnie: The gown sounds beautiful!

Jeanne: Sounds like you had a fun vacation!

Julie: When are you gonna do some splainin'? :)

Sally: Go see you own doctor.

Lori: With all that you have been working, sounds like that trip to Hawaii could be paid for.

Sandy: The shower sounds like fun. I am sure I have recipes for a bunch of stuff, I just don't have much time to look. Congrats on wining the repair costs!

Barb: Sounds like the room is coming along. We got our refund check on Saturday. We can use the $400. I have used Paypal without any problems. I think the 12-04 cruise is only for rich people or people willing to go broke on a cruise.

Thanks for the info on the Halloween going's on. I thought about going as Cinderella and having Kaleigh be Suzy or Perla. Now, where to find the costumes?

Krista: Glad to see you posting more!

A friend of mine just bought into DVC. She said that with all the info I gave her, I should be a rep. I told her that was our dream job!

Sue: Sounds like you had a nice weekend away!

Taking a break from the kids. It is going just fine.

Denine, how fun for Kaleigh, swinging for the first time. Your description of the lake sounded so peaceful. Sure wish I could escape with you. I do appreciate the thought of the recipes. If you get time, wonderful, if not, I understand.

Ewwwww, I smell something stinky. I guess it was just a short break. Diaper changing time. Bye bye.

Hi everyone! Sorry I didn't post earlier, I have been in SEVERE pain with an infected half tooth. I lost half of the tooth awhile ago, but up until now it hasn't given me a problem. I finally called the dentist today and I have an appointment tomorrow morning at 8:30am. I know the tooth will be removed. It took A LOT of nerve for me to call. I am one of those people that is SCARED to DEATH to go to the dentist. (I had a really bad experience when I was a teenager and I would refuse to go after that. I would rather have all my teeth fall out and get false teeth then go to the dentist ( I am that pertrified of them. I was literately shaking and crying on the phone with them. I break out into the sweats and shaking when I see a dentist.) Needless to say, it isn't a pleasant experience. I actually had my mother and Garry fighting over who was going to take me because they both know that if I went by myself, I would chicken out. Unfortunately I can not be put out when they do their thing tomorrow. I can only get a local. I think that is gonna be the worst!

The reason why I can only get a local is...................................................................

OK Denine, here's the splainin...........................................................................................

our cruise family has grown from 4 to 5!! (and no I am not talking about Anna Marie. She can only cruise with us during the summer and it costs WAY to much!) I sure hope that Bonnie's offer of babysitting is still on the table! YES, we will have another "deck drinker/licker" on the 2004 cruise! I don't know if it will be another Big Guy or another Makenzie, but either way I am set as long as he/she is healthy I don't care. Sandy picked up on the little hints I was making about Bonnie making me a gown! Denine has known for awhile since we have seen each other. I just wanted to wait until I had pasted the 3 month mark. I am now 4 1/2 months and everything is going fine. I have been real sick with this one to the point that I have medication to take so I don't. They are giving me a due date of Jan 6th, but I think it will come early like the other two did. Which means Dec. Which means our Dec. trip MIGHT be ruled out:( ! But the last time I saw the docter he still said that it would be ok. When I get my ultrasound done, they will give me a better date.

Well, gonna go! Will check back in later tomorrow if I am feeling up to it. Wish me luck!

Julie...It is about time you told everyone! I have had a hard time not spilling the beans! You have to go in December so you can meet Glenn! Just think...you will have 3 nurses there...2 of who are post partum nurses! We can always put you in one of those electric carts so you can run over everyone! And hold up the buses as you get loaded! LOL! I can see it now!

Dress if finished...4 sleeves later. Well almost...button holes and buttons on tonight and then the bonnet tomorrow night...unless I get really ambicious tonight.

Have a good day all...gotta run.

I tried to post last night but couldn't get on the site.

Congrats, Julie and Garry!! That is wonderful! I didn't pick up on the clues! Then again, I am usualy clueless!!

Julie - Hope the tooth is better soon and that the sickness gets a little better.

I had to sit through a change management class yesterday. Our department is reorganizing and they plan to announce the new structure on 8/13 so they are trying to get us all ready for "change". I am ready for change - I think we really need it!

Not much more going on here.

Welcome back Jeanne. Glad you had a nice North Carolina vacation!

Denine - glad you and Jerry had a nice lake outing.

Sandy - I'll look for a couple of recipes to send to you.

Speaking of recipes...Julie, Sally: whatever happened to the recipe book???

Lori - I want to go to Hawaii. Take me with you!!! Pllleeeeeaaaaasssseee!!

Barb - come clean my house!! Do you ever just sit back and relax on the weekends???

Bonnie - we are ready for the pix of the gown!

Just stopping by to congratulate Garry and Julie. We are so happy for you. Good luck at the dentist, Julie. My sister is identical to you and unfortunately she let her fear get to her and her teeth are slowly falling out and she still won't go. I am proud of you for picking up that phone. Don't let your teeth fall out. It isn't just an issue for your teeth but your general health as well.

Good to hear a little more from you Susan. Thanks for looking into some recipes.

Yeah, where is the cookbook, Sally and Julie??

My niece is here so I will close. Have a good one.

GOOOOD MORNING!!!!

How exciting!! Congratulations Julie and Garry!! Now we have
to have a baby shower via Disney Board!! I never picked up on the hints. Susan you and I are 2 peas in a pod!

Julie do you remember a few months back when I had to have my tooth pulled?? I too was terrified of the dentist. I put it off for about a year and a half. It was to the point I was living on pain killers and was getting up several times a night to take more. I finally sucked it up and went. I was pleasently surprised I didn't suffer and I lived!! I was so prepared to live on pain killers for a few days and only took 2 after and really didn't even need those.
I can't say I would look forward to going through it again but I am not afraid anymore.

Went to the YMCA to work out last night. I was less then thrilled. I was dragging a little from this weekend. Tonight we are going to watch Amanda at cheer practice then to the driving range.
