cant wait to see pics!:3dglasses:surfweb:

Yes, we are on our way to CC tomorrow. The weather has been wonderful considering we started off with Paula. We did have a mid afternoon shower in Grand Cayman. The weather at CC is supposed to very nice with a chance of late day rain. Off to Disney Dreams.

Did anybody check out the laundry rooms? Are they spiffed up?

(they were in pretty sad shape on the EBTA this spring)

Define sad shape please. There was several things I noticed, that were less then what I had expected, though I didnt let it bother me.

I do know that she got 2 brand new props.

Deck 2 laurndry room: Two washers didn't spin properly and clothes came out wringing wet (reported it, one was fixed when I checked days later). Ironing board was totally missing for several days. One or two other times when I just looked in there were out of order signs on dryers too.

And on a lesser note, could have used a fresh coat of paint.

I used the dryers on deck 7 and they were just fine, although $2.00 seems like a lot...

Would like to take a moment to thank everyone for the wonderful fish extender gifts. This is something my daughter looked forward to everyday - it seemed like Christmas morning each time. . . . and I knew better than to take anything out. We have been enjoying the cds driving home - loved everything - have used the totebag several times already - will treasure it always! Thanks again and hopefully everyone got to rebook while on the ship - we will be back next October!!:)

OK - we got home last night and I'm downloading photos.

I'd LOVE to share my most magical moment with you guys if you don't mind. If you do mind, skip it. I just had to type this out while it was still fresh.

I'll be back after church to post about the rest of our trip. Oh, and my apologies to anyone and everyone who heard me yelling at Audrey all week long.

So, Friday being the last day, we took Audrey to the final show (she loved the shows on the ship, BTW, and was always asking for more singing) and after the show there is a "Til we meet again" party, where a bunch of characters come out and spend some time in different parts of the atrium so you can get your final photos and autographs with them. We had planned on taking Audrey to see Daisy, because we hadn't seen Daisy Duck ALL WEEK (A was asleep or doing something else when Daisy was making her appearances).

So we went up to one of the cast members/character handlers and asked if she knew if Daisy was going to be at the party. She said that it was pretty likely, Daisy is usually there and pointed at the area where she usually stands. She then said "Let's ask Max (her boss) to make sure".

Max came over and said yes, Daisy would be making an appearance and she was going to be standing in that area, but that he had something even better than waiting there for us. So he walked us around to a closed room and said "I'm going to let you inside these doors. Just have a seat and wait, and you'll have about 15 minutes to interact with the characters before they go out for the party."

WAIT. WHAT??? Yes, we were let into a "private function" with all of the characters and about 20 or 30 other people and allowed to interact, take photos/videos, etc. for about 15 minutes.

It was so AMAZING. Seriously, I was on the verge of crying the entire time. There were so many characters there, Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Goofy, Peter Pan, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Tiana, Snow White, Captain Hook, and so on!

Here are just a few pictures. Audrey was wearing her pajamas because it was so late. And all we really wanted was one photo with Daisy Duck! So a HUGE thank you to Max. This is one Disney moment I will NEVER forget!

You can see in this one that Mickey is pointing things out to her. Just look at the background to see all of the different characters.

I'm amazed at the incredible FE gifts you all distributed! My kids were thrilled every day. There were a few of you who went way above and beyond ... particularly:

  • Debbiechels
  • NHPixiedust
  • Splash0mtn
  • Ericalynn1979
  • AKL432
  • DizzylandDeb
  • Dizzyprincess
  • Timswoman

My FE was so packed with goodies at one point that the fabric glue started to come loose. So I took my FE up to guest services and borrowed a stapler for some quick repairs.

My family really enjoyed roaming the ship, looking at door decorations, and passing out FE goodies to all of you.

Here is a picture of our door:

Thanks everyone! We had a wonderful time!

That is so cool! I had the same magical experience with my daughter who is also named "Audrey" and her sister, Katie, at the Magic Kingdom 2 years ago. We were talking to a cast member about how much we loved Disney World. He told us to go to the guest services area, an they took us to a back room where all the Princesses and Alladin were together. Oh! How awesome that was!

Ericalynn- We were treated to the same experience 2 years ago with our daughter Grace....after 9 DCL cruises- those 15 minutes when Grace had all the characters from TWMA to herself and they fussed all over her-it is still our greatest memory and the highlight of all our trips!

I had troubles with one of the washers on Deck 6, seemed like half of them were out of order. And it was pretty messy/dirty.

We used the ones on 7. We tried 6, but they were full, and there was a few open on 7. The ones we used on 7 took an extra cycle to dry. There were several out if order on deck 7 and I think 1 on 6 that I noticed. The 1 thing I did notice is that when we went to buy soap on 7, the system was slow enough that we didnt think it worked, so we swiped our card again. We got 2 packages of soap.
I didnt notice anything that really needed paint in the laundry room, but the shelf between the washer sets was severly out of level.

The few things I noticed, didnt pertain to the laundry room, but more room specific. Apparently they have not fixed the sewage problem, as most people we talked to on 6 were saying that they had a sewage odor in the bathroom, and that included us,along with people we talked to on deck 2 said the hall ways were full of the odor, when they had boarded, and the debris in the porthole windows going into Parrot Cay. We watched them clean the windows, and water alone didnt clear all of it.

All in all, we did enjoy our time on the Magic, and couldnt have asked for better weather or conditions. That was the first time I had been back on the Magic in probably 10 years, and my familys first time on her. Ill have to look at my CC to see for sure.

We were on the Magic Transalantic Cruise before Magic went in Dry Dock. We complained about the odor in our room too. We were on the sixth floor too. They tried to fix it. Can't believe they did not fix the problem while in dry dock. Also a few of the sixth floor washers and dryers were broken too. I did my laundry on the seventh floor. No problem just had to go up a level to wash clothes. Wow, can't believe they did not fix these problems during the two week dry dock. Come on Disney.

Wed like to thank, whomever stopped by and dropped off gifts for the kids,(1 person Im still trying to figure out who they are. It was apckage marked your table mates) and say it was a pleasure meeting everyone, and hope to see you all again, and for those who we didnt get to meet, theres always next time.

Tom, thank you again for the pictures. They came out great.

To everyone else that were at Topsiders for the ceremony, thank you for coming and the wishes.

Heres a few pics I took while out an about:

We had some one out several times about the odor. It seemed worse when we didnt uses the bathroom for several hours. I think part of the problem, is that the plumbers are thinking that it is individual rooms, and not the system itself. When I talked to the plumber the first time, he stuck his head in the bathroom and said he didnt smell any thing. I told him about the time frames, and they had our cabin steward come out to clean the bathroom again.

When the floor manager came out, I told him about my suspicions, and pointed out a few other things that the room inspectors missed after drydock,(Like the carpeting that didnt meet the wall, and the hole in the balcony divider bracket) and he said hed pass it on to the engineers and see what they thought. He didnt seem happy that there were at least 2 rooms where the contractors put down the carpet with issues. That was fri, so Im not sure if they are going to take it seriously or not.
