I hated the taste of the water in the dining rooms as well. To me, it had a musty taste. The girls had ordered a couple of virgin strawberry daiquiris and they were not fit to drink because of the taste of the ice. I also did not like the diet coke in the dining rooms. It was flat and on top of that with the taste of the ice, yuck. One evening our drink server came to me and told me that the diet coke machine was broken and could he offer me a regular instead. What is that? Needless to say, we went to deck 9 and got our own drinks. The diet coke on deck 10 was much better anyway. We missed Wemick and Genesis, our servers in the past. They were still serving in the dining room we were in but not our table. They always made it a point to come over and speak to us. Im sure the guests they were serving had a fantastic dining experience.
not even from Tommy?
just kidding old buddy old pal.![]()
That's a shame. I drank at least three diet cokes each night and a few waters each night. I found no weird taste, but I am normally a diet pepsi drinker so maybe I just didn;t notice. I sure drank my share of frozen drinks and they were all very yummy!!!!
We arrived home awhile ago. Two suitcases empty!! The house was 89 degrees so the rest will have to wait until it gets cooler in here!!
We had a great time!!! Went too fast!!
I am preparing for my first Disney cruise, and I am wondering what your dining rotations were. I know on each cruise there are 3 different rotations, but I have seen even those in different orders. For example, for APL, I have seen APLAPLA, APLLAPL and APPLAPL. I am so confused...Thanks for any help you can offer!
Does anyone by chance have an updated menu from the various dinners that we had on the cruise?
I looked at some of the ones on wdwinfo and they were dated from 2005.
Thanks!!!![]()

We got home and I got bronchitis. Out of work since Tuesday.
I had a great time on the cruise. Our bathroom did stop working once but they fixed it in minutes.
I did notice at WDW the water tastes like hose, so I just drink bottled.
The FE was great and I also experienced a little theft. I did not receive as many as I put out. There was too many kids running wild. We were very near the Oceaneer lab and there was always a lot of teens hanging around.
We had Genesis as our server and he is exceptional.
The ship was a little bit under cared for especially since it just came out of drydock. The crew painted those stupid white poles on deck 9 all week long. They did not remove the padding and it still took forever. I think the hotel manager on the ship needs to be fired as this is not what I pay extra to cruise on DCL. I can get this kind of a ship for less than what I paid.
