Oct. 16-23, 2010 - Bring Back the Magic

Forgot to mention about all the soggy east coasters: I hope you dry out soon and that no one had any damage.

I need to try on clothes this weekend to see what fits. Then we will be closer to the packing stage. We never pack until a couple days before a trip. At least we have our Owner's Locker waiting for us. That makes life much simpler!

Looking at the Port Canaveral webcam now. I can see the Magic!!:banana::banana:
She's back!!! :woohoo:
I don't know how to get a picture off the webpage. If someone else knows how, please post a picture :goodvibes

Here you go. It looks like DCL is loading a bunch of stuff on the Magic before heading off to drydock.

Tell me about it - we booked in May 2009, and the fact that we are really going soon still seems a bit surreal to me :)

We booked in May 2009 also. It has been a long year and a half, waiting for this cruise!! :yay:

They have two cranes next to the ship loading her up!!!

Yep. When any ship goes to drydock, they do 3 things.
Crew that doesnt need to go, get off the ship, such as entertainment, and additional shore personell get on, like contractors, and DCL brass from Celebration, that are in charge of maintance.

The ship off loads, anything they dont need, or things that may get in the way, like chairs that may have been redone already, tables, food equipment that may be replaced things like that.

The ship becomes a transport for a lot of the equipment that will be done onboard in DD.Big conex boxes, with wiring, new tables, or anything else the ship will need, gets loaded on the open decks. Itll get off loaded when she gets back here.
