Oct. 16-23, 2010 - Bring Back the Magic

We have been GTY and we got our assignment. We were 11 and we got 11. :goodvibes That is okay.
I am so ready to go. We have a cold front coming in on sunday night. Down to 92. I better get out my jacket.:rotfl:

Congatulations.

The only thing I can say is the same thing one of the cms said to me. Theres a team of managers locked in a super secret squirrel room, that if they let there intentions be known will suffer from double secret probation for life, and that there is no rhyme or reason as to what they do.

:confused3

GOOD MORNING ALL

Hi all!
I've finally remembered to come on here, though probably the self discipline not to has meant I have got more work done!! I'm Wendy (a 41 year old High School teacher in Aberdeen, Scotland) and I will be cruising with my mum, Doreen (76 years old but really going through her 2nd childhood!). This will be our 11th DCL cruise so we will be Platinum which is exciting! We've done a lot of the Western cruises as they fit with my October vacation time best. I booked last Oct onboard for Cat 11 but decided to upgrade to a cat 10 for the 1st time and go for the guarantee status - still waiting for the stateroom assignment. We will be late dining.
Hope to see some of you onboard.
Wendy

Welcome to our thread Wendy! We are Annika and DH Christian from Germany. I have always wanted to go to Scotland, one of my work colleagues just spent three weeks there and showed me some beautiful pictures. I really have to get around to go there, as soon as we're not planning a Disney cruise for a change :rotfl2:

Hi Danandnan, Anika, and anyone else lurking.

Of to knock some of the honey do list now that Im home from work. New battery in Danis car, clean the curbs out,.............................

Another dark rainy day here. This is getting old!!!

Have a good day all!!

Thank you Annika! So funny as although I have lived in Scotland all my life there are still places I haven't been to though I do agree it is beautiful - pity the weather isn't that great! We love Disney cruises so much but do try and fit in other things too - we went on a Baltic crusie this summer (not Disney as the prices were too high unfortunately) which was great.
Like others we are still GTY too although I keep checking.
Wendy

Good Morning :wave2:
Since we're on the subject of weather ...
It's RAINING in my neck of the woods too :sad2:

Actually, it has rained at least ONE day every week this entire summer. One day earlier this week, it was in the 90's, today, it's going get into the 50's. Had to cover the tomatoes twice this week to protect from potential frost.

I am so ready to go on a vacation! :dance3:

Oh, did I mention that the newlyweds moved back (for a week) while they are waiting for their other home to be ready? (guess the first place was too far from their work . . .not to mention too small. But that's another story! :rotfl: ) :rolleyes1
:rolleyes1

Good Morning
Well believe it or not Joanne im watering the lawn again. It's another beautiful day here in Maine. Right now it's about 78 degress . Weather man says it will be in the high 80's low 90's all week.

Its hot or miss here on the rain. The other night we watched a storm forming to the east of us at work, and never got to us. Yesterday, it was foogy onthe way in, and all day was gloomy like it was going to rain but never did. When I went to put fuel in the truck last night I could see lightening over Auburndale, but again never got to us. Go figure.

Temps have been in the upper 90s with heat indexs of over 100.

I want to go to Scotland and Germany. One of these days I am going to get to Europe. I love scotish accents because they remind me of my grandmother and I really miss her.

Leisha, I can thoroughly recommend both Scotland and Germany even though I have only been to a few places in Germany. I'll try to speak with my best Scottish accent when we meet!

I love being able to cross things of my honey do list! I actually took my van today to get it cleaned in an out. It is so much nicer now. I can see out the windows now. :lmao:

Come north. We have sunny skies and 90 for the next week at least! Gotta love the first part of Football season. I do not know how those kids are able to plan in this heat.

Gotta love the kids coming back! Meg and Jose were here all day yesterday doing home work. They both are in college. I cooked for them and did their laundry. I think maybe they planned it that way.

That is great! I am sure my great grandparents were kicked out of Scotland but family stories say it was not my great grandfathers fault. :lmao::rotfl2: We live in Ky and from what I understand the countryside is alot like Scotland.
