Thanks!! Yes we have flown Spirit in the past. We like Southwest since bags fly free. :thumbsup2 Are u flying in night before?

I agree on the free bags!!!! Spirit is $5 per bag :-((( We are flying out at 4pm on Friday and getting to MCO 6:20pm. We are going to stay at the Hyatt that night using the stay certificate ($145) and catch the first bus at 9:30am in the morning. The flight back is at 12:10pm so we do not have to wait much at MCO.

I just checked out of Baltimore and it went down to $88 ea way so now $789. Just need decide if it worth the drive. :confused3

That is the price I got. I did not react fast enough on day 1. Originally is was $72 down and $88 back. By the time I got home it was $88 each way. Bummer. With oil prices going the way they do, I just booked it. Another thing to consider is BWI is cheaper and easier to park. Philly airport is expensive in that way and corrupt. I will spend half on parking alone. Also the bus to/from the terminal comes more often.

I hear you on the kids in school issue. That is why we also take a later flight and only have to pull the kids out for a 1/2 on Friday. We will miss our usual Columbus day cruise this year due to drydock. Columbus day is a day off of school in Delaware.

Well I am gonna talk to hubby we just may end up on the same flight with ya. If we can get an early flight than the drive of 75 miles is fine getting there. Thanks for the help!!:thumbsup2

I amy check Indy and Cinncinati to see if it would be cheaper flying from there instead of Louisville. You are billiant!

Good morning Everybody

Nancy and I were checking flights yesterday and we got Jet Blue round trip from Portland Me. to Orlando on 10/14 for $442.00 round trip. $119.00
per person .
Right now same flight for April is $520.00 per person. got to love those April Vacation rates. Go figure.
Thats why Nancy and I are driving down next month.

It is a easy drive to BWI. All highway. If you need directions, please let me know. We are on the 4pm flight. Good luck with what you choose.

Thanks, what transportation do u use getting back to airport from terminal on 23rd? We usually rent a car & park it at terminal.

I am a little lazy and do not want to deal with a rental and just use the DCL transportation. It is SOOOOO easy. Walk off the ship and onto a bus and leave in minutes. If you rent a car, you should do one way rentals since parking at the terminal is $15/day. Ouch. I know it would be cheaper with 4 people but I do not want to deal with the hassle. I want to relax and let others worry.

So we booked and will be on your departing flight. Guess we pick girls up early from school as well. We picked later flight home on 23rd as we wanna go Sea World. I will look into the 1 way rentals. We usually just pay the $15 a day terminal parking but that for the 4 day cruise. I assume with 1 way rentals the car rental agency can pick us up? I never have done this 1 way before.:confused3

Congrats, see you in Baltimore. Once more planning piece done. Sea World sounds like fun. We are heading back on the earlier flight so we start the kids catching up on the missed school work. Not the fun part of the vacation!!!!! The rental buses will pick you right in front of the port terminal so that is not hard at all. There are a few good threads about which rental car company to go with since I have not done that before. If you need directions to BWI, please let me know and I will pm you for the best way to go. Where are you staying Friday night?

I have not booked room yet for Fri night. That is on my agenda next. I have gotten a price of $58 for 1 night rental so far. Think I should be able to get cheaper and too soon. We booked our rental in Jan through Priceline & got an awesome rate.

How old are your kids? I have 2 daughters, they will be 16 & 8
