I aim to please - and in the process I am simply entertaining myself a bit too. ON my last DCL sailing you probably know I posted almost 5,000 entries among the 150-200,000 postings! And STILL ... I was nowhere NEAR being the top contributor! I think I was only #7 or barely among the top 10... I think. < wink >

And on THAT monster thread (for the Panama Canal Repo last August)... we ONLY sprinted for the postings that approached every THOUSANDTH contribution. We let all the HUNDREDTH postings go by without fanfare! Even so - we often had more than one THOUSANDTH "sprint" a day!

Oh well... not many DCL sailings carry that much insanity. So - yeah - I confess - I'm one of the looney ones. Hangin' out here at the invitation of a few old friends who are pressing me to sail on the 16th. Some may know (actually - very few probably) that in recent years my spouse and I have become a bit spontaneous with booking things. Some things -get booked far in advance - while others have been qualified as spontaneous flings.

With the passing of my MIL we're now working on a long term plan for DCL in 2010... the jury is still out over here as to which date we'll select as a GROUP.

And Thnak You for your compliments and gentle encouragement.... in spite of the fact I'm not quite booked yet - but very seriously inclined for this date to sail with a few good old friends.

well hopefully everyone in your group will choose this date to cruise!!! the more the merrier
I heard about the Repo Cruise thread craziness but I never ventured to go check them out LOL I don't think I could of kept up to be honest

Yes, it really has become awfully quiet on this thread lately, hasn't it? Well, I bet that will be different a few months from now! Still a year and a month to go, whew - I wish time would pass a little quicker!
This weekend we are planning on logging into our account and paying off a little bit of the cruise already, as the dollar exchange rate is still so much in our favour and we suspect this will not stay so for much longer ... So that will bring us another little step closer to the cruise!

Yes well, let's get to work deciding on a name for our cruise then! It seems that everybody is a little timid about bringing this subject up, but if I'm not much mistaken, nobody currently on this thread has any issues with a possible name change, so I'm pretty sure it wouldn't end in a fight or any bad feelings this time. So let's go, folks! I'm still all for the DIS-functional thingy! (See, I forgot the whole rest of it because I am just so in love with the "DIS-functional" part! )

So why not throw about some more ideas, if someone has them, and then work out a ways of voting on them?

that's great!!! that's what we did last year when our dollar shot right up, we just exchanged a bunch of money for spending on the islands.
