Hello all my fellow crusiers.

Candy and I are still deciding whether we are going to the D23 expo in September. If you like Disney stuff this sounds like the place to go. Not sure if we would just stay down near DL or drive each day. Or maybe just go one day of the four...I don't know, lots to think about.

I am very curious about the 2011 DCL itineraries that should be annouced at the Expo. We still are very interested in the Wonder Westbound repo early in the year.

... sorry to hear Kristens' voyage had a change in port rotation - but am pleased to hear they snagged a nice upgrade.

... we're in Vegas for business and a little fun. This means my MIL has made a surprising recovery. She's out of ICU - and the talk is she might be dischargeed sometime soon! So we resumed our travel/business schedule as originally planned.

Hotter than hot out here - but's to be expected. Kids won a bunch of stuffed animals at Circus Circus last nite - that's thier routine... and I have a meeting in about 40 minutes. So gotta go get ready now...

Hope everyone is doing well... I have not had a chance to go read back wards much. Been so busy and somewhat off balance these past few days.

Hi TIGGER/POOH4. That darned Ana!! LOL
Her cruise is a western now, possibly a double dip, depending on where Ana is headed. They are supposed to go to CC, Cozumel, Grand Caymen, and then possibly back to CC.
I talked to Kristin when she got on the ship, she is disappointed about the itinerary change, but she is also very excited because they upgraded to a cat 3!!

Yeah...

... I think things are in a cooling off cycle. Certainly WE are cooling off... while remaining guarded. We wanna see Mom get out and home in some kind of stable condition. Then I see us resuming the discussion among family as to what/when/and so on being reviewed and hammerred out.

Ugh, a part of me doesn't want to go through the whole thing (negotiating/passing opinoins back and forth)... oh well... it's gotta be done.

So tonite we saw the bellagio water show 2x ... and got stuck on Las Vegas Blvd traffic for a LONG LONG time. They closed off all lanes except ONE (plus a turning lane on the right). In some places that amounted to going from 4 to 2 lanes ... and in other places that was 5 lanes to 2. Insane and slow SLOW SLOW! At any rate - the kids also saw the volcano erupt and found out the Wite tigers would return to thier viewing area from 10AM until 6PM ... or something like that.

Business was actually pretty good out here too... I'd say it might be fabulously productive for a change. Aside from that - I got 2 Taco Bell tacos for $0.39 each too... they're on sale SUNDAYS... so I saved $0.40! Wooo Hooo!!!! My spouse rolled her eyes at me when I told her. Gee ... I wonder why?

OK, so ... thus passes another day in sunny Las Vegas. Tomorrow we blow town for home. We hope catch an early lunch before leaving Vegas to stop at state line to shop some more - and another stop at the Calico ghost town just before Barstow. Then ... maybe make it into LA for dinner before we park at home. It should be good.

Hey Tom, that is great news about your MIL. So vey glad to hear is is getting better and may even be sent home soon. Hope you can join us on this cruise.

Hey Monica, hope you didn't have any problems with Claudette. We were hoping to get some rain from her, but she just skirted right by us. Thank goodness she didn't have the chance to get any stronger then she did. Hope you and your family are well.

Hi David, thanks for asking about me, but only my family lives there in Florida now (DH has dragged me all over due to his job!) HOWEVER, I talked to my mother yesterday before anything really got going, and they weren't expecting too much damage or anything...just alot of rain. My uncle kind of confirmed that with me yesterday later afternoon when we spoke. I told them to call me if *dog forbid* anything bad happened...and haven't heard from them today, yet. So, I'm sure all is well. They're probably already out and about going on with their day...

On that note, hope everyone on the board has a GREAT day too

Welcome JamesKY! It's going to be sooooo much fun! We went last October and had a blast!!!!!! I have 3 girls. At the time of sailing, they will be 10, 9, 7. So, pretty close to yours! It is hard to wait and wait and wait. I can't wait!!!
It'll just get more and more exciting the closer we get!

We are D23 members and were planning on attending the expo in September, but due to unforseen reasons we will not be able to attend. If'n you do attend the expo and they do release info on the new ships and new itineraries could you please share with us.

I've been working on my very cool Fish Extender (Driving DW crazy).
Here's my plan - please critique:

1) I've got my photos / logos / designs for each pocket
2) Use Disney pattern fabric for main panel and pockets
3) Use dowel rod and yarn for hanger
4) Use T-Shirt iron-on transfer paper to decorate pockets
< I wonder, is it better to just buy a pocket hanger from Office Depot? >

I downloaded Disney fonts, DCL name tags, and clip art to decorate the FE.

I'm thinking about using a sound recorded from a musical greeting card to record the ship's "When You Wish Upon A Star" horn, and attach to the FE to enable interactive fun.
