I just wanted to say that we will also be sailing with you: We have just put down our deposit for a stateroom on the 2010/10/16 Western cruise!
This is not only our first Western Caribbean cruise,
and not only our first Disney cruise,
but it is our FIRST EVER CRUISE!
There are still loads of things we need to read up on, being such newbies as we are- including this thread; but first of all, here is some information on us for the roll call:
DH and I have just been to WDW for the first time (it was our honeymoon), fell in love with it and decided to come back in fall of '10, but to combine that with a cruise - I've always wanted to try one! We don't have any kids but I have read that a Disney cruise is a great thing also for couples without kids, and we will be staying in a Cat 6 stateroom.
Now back to planning and reading - I'm sooo excited!![]()
WELCOME ABOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who did you book your cruise through??
Now that I have read a little more of this thread, I'm confused:
Did bzzelady mention somewhere that she has given up the stateroom 6134 with the secret verandah?
Because that's the one DH and I are booked on ...
I couldn't believe my luck that one of the four "secret" cabins was still available so I secured that one for us yesterday.
Did I book the wrong cruise, 2009 maybe?
Or is it a software glitch? I wouldn't want us both to be booked into the same cabin accidentally ...
Hi everyone!
We just got back from our first ever Disney cruise, and we re-booked on board for the Oct. 16, 2010 Western Magic. I am thrilled that there is already a thread for our cruise!
My name is Nicole. My sister, Courtney, and I will be traveling with our parents, Frank & Esther. We're in rooms 2062 and 2064.
Just wanted to say hi to all of you! Looking forward to the countdown over the next year and a half!![]()
I am so excited to have found this thread! Hubby and I just decided that it's time for our first cruise and this is the date we have chosen. I am beyond ecstatic as this is a dream of mine!

A very Happy Memorial Day to everyone, especially those who make the sacrifice to serve our country and protect all of us!
Sarah's party the other day was a blast!!! It was threatening to rain all day and the pool was closed when we arrived (although they anticipated it reopening soon), which caused a hot mess of confusion since they didn't know if we should set up on the pool deck or upstairs in the gym. We ended up with half of our stuff upstairs and half downstairs which was a mini disaster...but it all turned out well in the end, especially since the ugly weather scared the general public away and we ended up having a completely private party...both pools all to ourselves!!!! Here are some of the pics. Our three kids are in the first pic: Sarah, Savannah and Brendan.
Nenner-looks like everyone had a great time.I don't think my sister would have been smiling in that last photo.
Some photos of Great Wolf Lodge as promised. By the way, the big yellow thing on Lydia's head is a headband that went with her Belle dress she got as a birthday present. She refused to go out without it on(luckily I talked her out of wearing the dress to breakfast).
We didn't get a lot of pictures of the water park since my camera isn't waterproof but I did run in on our way to breakfast and took a few.
Also, the lobby is beautiful. They have giant clock/tree that has characters that come out and do a show with singing and a story. It was pretty cool. We took the kids down in their pj's before bed to watch it.
All in all I would highly recommend the GWL. It was expensive for us, but cheap compared to a day at Disney.![]()
