Hi everyone!!! just thought I would pop in and say hi since I haven't been here in a while LOL
we are getting ready for March break too, so I need to get some packing done tomorrow since we leave on saturday. The boys are super excited to see my parents again, it's been way too long!

We used insuremytrip.com. It was recommended on the main boards. Got a reasonably priced policy.

We used them also. IIRC it was a very reasonable price...About half of what DCL charged. We haven't had to file a claim yet (knock on wood) so I don't know about how they handle claims...of course I'm sure they have different carriers so...

And yes, as far as I know it has to be paid by the final cruise payment/penalty date (90 days before sailing).

Hello all!!
It's been awhile since I posted!! We have been pretty busy around here! We're going to AZ this weekend to see the grandkids, then 3 of them are coming back with us (and their mom, LOL) to go to DL on Tues and Wed. I'm really looking forward to spending time with them.

As for the insurance, I would definitely get trip insurance. If for nothing else but for the peace of mind just in case something happens. I'm not sure which way is best, we usually just go with whatever insurance is part of the package. But I think as long as you get it before the cruise is paid in full you will be fine.

Dizzy, that's wonderful you were able to take a mini vacation. I know what you mean about living in an area where you can take advantage of the nice weather. Although, sometimes I get tired of the heat. Here in So Cal, the weather has been beautiful, in the 70s, and it is suppose to warm up into the 80s next week when we go to DL!

Nancy, I'm so glad you get to see your parents soon. When are you going?

So,we heard from the bank.............FINALLY and we should be able to sign the last papers on or around the 23rd. It seem slike it has been forever.

We do not think we are goign to take a cruise BOOHOO, we have been all around the subject..............I found one to leave Fort Lauderdale, March 21, for the WHOLE family for ONLY $800 it was a 7 night on MSC, and kids up to 17 sail free on this cruise ship. It is a little different kind in which they dont allow shorts or jeans i think it is after 6 or 7 pm and it is mostly Italian it is just here for a Short time then they go back to Italy i guess.....BUT WOW what a deal right........................ BUT even still with tips and such it would be over $1300 probablly and we could use that for NEW stuff in the house. SOOOOOOOOOO i guess we just have to wait.... but we are goign to go visit family in WV and then we are looking forward to our WDW family trip in OCTOBER.

In May it will be a year since our last cruise or vacation of any kind and i am really feeling it!!!

BUT i think the move to the new house will help.

How fun!!!!!

We are taking our first trip to WDW!! We are celebrating our 20 year anniversary!! It will just be Randy and me! We are leaving the girls at their sisters house in AZ. I can't wait!! Because we live so close to DL, whenever we needed a Disney fix, we would just go there!! LOL
But we decided we really wanted to give WDW a go!! I know we will have a great time!

Funny thing is I am actually looking forward to the rain storms while we are there. We hardly get any over here, and I have always been interested in thunder storms!!

I know the feeling, we can hit WDW pretty much whenever we want.

But we definitley enjoyed going to DL, just to see the diferences and the similarities.

It is very cool!

I am sure you have gotten a ton of advice on here.

But WDW is WAY Bigger than DL and it is not as "homey" feeling as DL.

Make sure you pick out exactly what you want to do and hit those things first. You cant do all of WDW probally not even in 7 days.

BUT YOU WILL defininitley have a great time......AHHHHHHH and not kids WOW!!!!!

I had the strengest day to day!!!

SO, i am geting ready to go and do some errands....just got out of the shower and my cell phone rings ONCE...I look at the # and it looks a little bit familiar, I call it back and it was a friend of my DDs, of course they are in school and i get her voice mail..........I JUST FIGURE IT WAS A BUTT DIAL and think nothing of it.

UNTIL

I get a voice mail about 2 minutes later,it was from the friend.....
So i dial my voice mail and listen to the voice mail.................

this is truly what i hear

3 gun shots then static then several more gun shots then static then more gun shots then static then silence then the voice mail was over.

Yeah I go into MAJOR MAJOR PANIC MODE........

My DH was on a workcalland i walk to the table, i didnt have to say anything it must have been the look on my face (later he tells me i was prepared to hear that someone died just by the look on your face)

All i can say is there were gun shots and i left SPEEDING TO THE SCHOOL!!!

AS i turn the corner towards the school, I see about 5 police cars an ambulance a firetruck and lots of officers.........(later i realize they were in a parking lot of a closed Hospital doing a drill)

but as i turn the corner and see this, i start to PANIC MORE and get the worst numbness in my body i have ever ever felt and i think i might pee myself and maybe vomit.

But i drive by and se the school and there is no comosion in the school parking lot so i feel a little better.

I get to the school and i am shaking and about in tears and the DARN FREAKIN STUPID A** woman at the fron desk answer 2 phone calls and it starts to ring again and i say "wait a minute, i have an emergency"

I tell her about the call, she calls the guidance counselor, he calls my DD and I talk to her she is fine.........THANK THE DEAR LORD ABOVE!!!!
I am not allowed to see the girl but my DD says she is fine....I still feel badly and go to the little girls moms house and let her know what has happened.

End of story non of us know how in the owrld this got on my phone from hers and Everyone is good.

WWOW what a day.

So then i am now doing my errands and i am loving life driving by the beach and a GEICO comercialcomesd on it is cute and i laugh i look over to the beach and flying over the water is a plane PULLING A FREAKIN GEICO BANNER!!! I think i am supposed to change to GEICO!!!!!

WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deb honestly, for the 7-10 minutes before i got into the school it had to be the most scared or petrified i have ever been in my life.

I thought my DD was in a school shooting it was HORRIBLE!!!!!
