I hope everybody is feeling fine and is enjoying such nice weather as we finally have here in Germany!

I originally posted a report here on how a friend of mine saw the Disney ships under construction in the Meyer Werft shipyard, but I have been informed by some nice people on the boards that he must have been mistaken, as they are not so far advanced in construction ... So, sorry for the wrong information everybody!

Hey everyone...just a quick drive-by post from my iPod.

Thank you all so much for the anniversary wishes.. . And I love u too Hun!

It looks like the cruise on the Oasis is officially off. (as is my cousins engagement)...bigger bummer for them than for us. So now we plan to go on a ( much cheaper) 8 nite eastern on the rccl independence of the seas. Jan 23.
We hope to make it onboard the Oasis in 2011.

No, my wife and I have been on seven cruises. Most on Royal Caribbean. We have been on NCL once in Hawaii, and on Disney once to the Bahamas on a short 3 day cruise. We didn't care for the Disney cruise as much simply because it was too short. By the time we settled in, the cruise was over. We will only do 7 days at a minimum here on out. My daughter has been on 5 of the 7 cruises with us, but it will be my son's first. Hope he has his sea legs!

how was the Hawaii cruise? DH and I are thinking about doing one later on. How long is the cruise? I've always wanted to go there and a cruise to Hawaii seems the best way to do that LOL

We came close to changing this cruise to a Hawaii cruise.

But have decided to wait until we can do a week cruise and stau a couple days before and a couple days after at the new Disney resort there.

Just wish it woulod be a disney cruise.

But i guess it will be maybe the year after this cruise.

I am getting ready to start MY CLOTHING LIST.
YES i know it is very EARLY........
But think about it.....

I have a UNIVERSAL FAMILY REUNIOUN i am planning now, and it is in OCTOBER.
THen before that, it is get ready for school this year,
Then it is Christmas
Then it is Easter
and hopefully some kind of spring break vacation
Then SUMMER time and
Then it will be here before we know it.

I just have to make some sort of chart so i know what i need etc.
I think i am going to start with Pirate night stuff cause DD and i already have the "bottoms" for Pirate night, Hopefully she will have grown into them by then, if not i will have to take them in.

uugggghhhh i am just soooooo ready for this cruise already!!!!!!

Well, friends...after a long talk with my family, we have decided to cancel this cruise. My neighbor just returned from a Royal Caribbean cruise and has been talking about it so much that I began to look into Royal Caribbean. Once I began looking at pricing and the different ports, I think I was hooked. I know it's not Disney, and I admit I am a bit nervous about this decision... but for our family of five, sometimes it's all about the almighty dollar!

I'm a little sad, but I think it was the right thing to do for my family. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful trip, and I have really enjoyed getting to know you through this thread!!

good for you Lynn on being so organized!! I have started my packing list already and plan on buying some of our cruise clothes at the end of this summer when sales start!! As for pirate night I'm not sure if I will dress up this year, I might just wear a pirate T-shirt or something.
I would also love to know when formal and semi-formal and pirate night is so I can prep for it!

Just a FYI I did some research and I found out that while we are in Grand Cayman 3 other ships will be there with us, (us, Carnival Legend, Carnival Valor, and Pacific Dream) so I think it will be packed with tourists that day!!!!
I have not found out about the other 2 ports yet, but I will post the info when I do.

Sorry to see you leave us Shauna, but understand that cost is a factor.

We were on Royal Caribbean earlier this year and really enjoyed it. You will have a fun trip.

We are not "dressing up" either like we have in the past.

We are going to do jeans and soemkind of matching tshirt *pirate theme* and maybe and eyepatch or a head scarf

DD and i have matching jean capri wide legs so she wants to use those,hopefully she fits in hers and HOPEFULLY i will have to take mine in,or at least sinch it with a belt.

She wants boots to wear with them i think i will do flip flops maybe????

My DH and Ds will be happy happy to be able to wear jeans one night!!!
