We're not doing an excursion in Nassau but might check out the Pirate museum. At Castaway Cay we are doing the stingray adventure.

Meeting by the Mickey pool is cool with us just remind me a bit nearer the time!

Im sure you might see or "hear" us before 3pm, if Elouise is over excited and "playing up". As last week a few times, I sounded like a fishwife yelling "Elouise" at the top of my voice, when she was being naughty.

We arent doing any excursions, as its our first cruise ( we will prob do the stingray tour in Grand Caymen next year, on the 7 night Western)
Wayne and I have swam with Dolphins twice in Cuba and Cancun, Mexico. And whilst it was a great expereince, I think the next time we do so will b as a family, and I think Elouise might be a tad too young to fully enjoy it this year. We can keep this for another yeaar, we we know we will be back

Jules, have you seen the newsflash ? security checks at all the airports today.? Are you worried about the flights? Im more " edgey" now I have Elouise. Hope things are OK. glad we arent due to fly soon. I feel so sorry for people stuck in the long long holdups.

For the rest of you we are in "Critical alert" in the Uk, as a terrorist plot to blow up 9 planes today, in mid air, has been discovered. All airports are in chaos!!!! Really scarey! Im glued to the news and teletext.

It is very scary Linda, I feel very sorry for the people who are stuck at the airports, it is awful. I have heard some of the updates at work about no hand luggage etc, what is the current situation, you are probably more up to date on the situation that I am ... It is shocking that these people can cause the chaos that they continue to bring.

I understand completely that it is much more worrying for you now because of Ellie.

It is very frightening, it is unbelieveable what these people had planned to do

The update at present is... NO handlugguage on ANY plane at all ( if they ever actually take off, all flights are canceled or Very delayed)
Clear plastic bags are issued where only Money, Tickets, glasses - no glasses cases, and medicines can go. ALL lugguage is hand searched. IF mothers want to bring baby milk on board, they have to drink some of it in front of an official before they are allowed?? Not sure why? Wayne thinks people may try and take bombs or posions on Kids stuff? - poss less likely to be checked?
I undetsnad why all the checks, and of course support them, However I cant imagine traveling with NO toys!


The PLANES DUE TO BE BLOWED UP WERE ALL TRAVELING FROM UK TO USA!!!!!! now I am concerned!!

I cant understand this sad sad world. Why kill innocent people ??????

On news now... its says it was 9 planes from Uk to USA to be blown up at same time by liquid bombs, carried in the hand lugguage!

We are now on CRITICAL level the highest ever.... they say it would be worse than 9/11!!!

Investigagtions are NOT OVER.... still on going. Police cant confirm they have foiled it all. Some have still possibly go through???????

It is very hard to understand Linda, whay anyone would want to target innocent people is beyond me.

Thanks for the update, I assume that Wayne is right about the baby milk, I can think of no other reason.

It makes you wonder if this will never end, it seems that nothing is unimaginable to these people ...

Arrests in Birmingham and High Wycombe. I think this really will cause more "unrest" with racism etc.


On news they keep saying "its not over, police dont know IF they got all the bombers!"

If I was in the airport now, I would leave. I think if they cant bomb the planes, they may let the bombs go in the airport.

How bad, to target flights FULL of KIDS, to the USA and in School holidays.

Gosh, bet loads of cheap flights to the US will be on offer soon. If we hadnt booked, i dont think i would want to take Elouise. On the other hand, you can live on, what ifs..................

Linda, I saw the news this morning and thought Oh My Gosh. That is awful. And Linda and Jules must be so worried. I am so sorry that you have to worry about this now. It sounds like you will have to re-think your packing and plan very carefully. I know that you will be even more concerned because of traveling with Elouise. I think that they would let you bring one or two small toys that are completely visable and not such that you could hide anything in them. We are under a hightened security here in the US too, and I also hear that we can have no liquids or carry on. Alie is in Arizona right now and flying back to Florida on Saturday so she will be faced with these new issues also. I am confident that she will be safe though. Safety is much more important than carry-on luggage. I am very glad that security did what they needed to do in the UK and they were caught.

Yes I am scared, but thankfully we are a few weeks away from travel. So we will have to wait and see how things pan out.

Off to see my friend who travels on the same day as us, and its their first ever FLIGHT, and its to Florida with her husband and 2 kids. Shes in tears, so trying to calm her down. She was scared to fly before this, cos of crashing.

I agree Linda if I was at the airport I think I would go home, like you say we have a good few weeks to go yet and we cannot let these people win. and as you say we cannot live our lives on what ifs ....

It is very sad that people can't travel without fear from sabotage. I saw a bit of the news this morning and heard that all liquids were banned. So strange. They showed people at our airport going thru the luggage and romoving liquid deoderant and make up and people were throwing away their bottled water. Some of these precautions will probably be temporary. It looked like it was taking much longer to get thru the check points. So glad that airports are being so cautious and stopped the threat in time!
Jane-Alie may need to get to the airport earlier now but at least they will be very cautious of everything that is put on the plane.

It was due to be a trial run today, for the bombers. With the actual date of attacks to be on Wed 16th.

its mad Linda isn't it, what is wrong with these people ?
still massive delays at the airports, according to the news. On one of the other boards they were saying that they hope they relax the rules and allow more hand luggage, I dont know how you feel Linda, but personally I hope the restrictions stay in place, I would rather have nothing on the plane and feel safe. It is more difficult for you with Ellie though - who do you fly with ?
