Which NCL ship? Is that Epic? or all NCL?

It's funny that I have stuck to NCL because I am so familiar with it. I can book a cruise and then not think about it again. Because the Epic is so different from the rest of the fleet I have not sailed it (yet?). Prior to the Epic the newer NCL ships have outstanding spas - I have been in the spa on the Gem and the Pearl.

We've got the laptop that we can use to get on line, but of course the spreadsheet that I had with the FE list and my gifts was on the other computer, so as of right now it's lost. We've got it out at a repair guy, the first place told us that it would cost $2,300 to get the data back!:scared1:

This one is pretty sure that he can do it for a couple hundred dollars.

That makes me want to back up my computer!! Good luck! I hope you get your files back!

I took mine to Best Buy. Don't know if you have one in your area. It was $150 to retrieve my files and that included an external hard drive of 250GB.:thumbsup2

We thought about the Geek Squad, but this guy was recommended to us by a friend, and he thinks (the guy, not the friend) that he can just load it all onto another drive and put it in our existing computer, and away we go! If so, totally worth the drive up to 6th Ave and E-470!

We've already got an external hard drive, so it's our own darn fault that the stupid thing didn't get backed up, we just hope it's not too dear of a lesson to learn!

I haven't even started my FE gifts yet, that'll probably come after June, I'll start focusing more on the cruise then!

Looks like AoA is out for us. Wanted to stay in Little Mermaid room, but they have just 2 double beds. That would be uncomfortable for hubby and I in one double. So now we're making reservations at the Port Canaveral Country Inn and Suites. We like those hotels, always know what to expect, and the free breakfast helps the budget. Will be there on Thursday, so we will have some time to see what there is to see in the area. Anyone else coming into town early? Maybe we could meet????

Scott and Ryan are going in early, but they're staying up in Orlando and hitting Wet 'n' Wild waterpark before they come pick up Jillian and me. She's starting middle school next year :scared1: so we don't want to take her out for a day. I'm not sure if we're staying up in Orlando again Friday night or not.

I have been away from the site for a bit due to work. I made it onto the FE list but is it too late to get wristbands for my wife and I (yes, I am on her account).

Thanks

Eric

Evening all-just catching up with this thread. Did a bit more trip planning today and bought MNSSHP tockets for the friday before the cruise. This got me thinking about port adventures. What trips (if any) are you all planning or could recomend to a newbie cruiser? We def want to do sting ray island but other than that havent got a clue.

Is it better to book via disney or independently? Bit worried about missing the ship if we go it alone.

Another question-we are still debating uprading to a verandah-if we leave to sail day is there likely to be space?

Stingray City is great in Grand Cayman, and easy to do outside of Disney, most of the operators that go there don't charge you if your cruise ship doesn't dock. The main thing we've always done is just make sure whatever we're doing gets us back to the port a couple of hours early, otherwise, we'll do a Disney excursion. Captain Marvin's is good for stingray city.

For Cozumel, you can easily grab a cab to go to Chakanaab, there's beach there, with snorkeling and they do have a dolphin encounter, but I wouldn't recommend it, Discovery Cove is a million times better! There are a ton of cabs to get there, and back, and it's not really expensive, you can get them just outside of the port area.

For Costa Maya, there's not a whole lot there. They have a shopping area, with a pool I guess, but we did do a Disney excursion when we were there last (due to bad weather in Grand Cayman, we skipped it and went to Costa) just because there wasn't much else to do. It was the dune buggy/beach excursion and it was lots of fun.

For Castaway Cay, we just snorkel and hang out on the beach!

Right now, it looks like they're still booking for all categories of rooms, so we certainly not full, there may be a verandah room available, but, if you really want one, you should upgrade now, or watch to see if prices come down closer to our PIF date since there are no guarantees that they'll have any available at the port.

Now that we are up to 53 bands the price is down to $1.00 each!

Since the price is where it needs to be I can start collecting the money.
You can send me the money via paypal or send it snail mail.
You can even deliver it yourself if you want to make the trip! :lmao:

I am not planning on ordering the bands until Oct 1st so we
can still add on to the list until then and there's no hurry in
sending the money either. I would like to have the majority of
it by the time I order but I have no problem with people paying
me when I deliver.

PM me how you would like to pay and I will reply with my info.

Barbeque with DCL theme? My house?

How do we do paypal to send you the money for the bracelets? I can mail it to you too, if that's easier.

BTW, has anyone seen any fish extenders on ebay from Gradysmommy? I can't seem to find anything by here. I brought one from her the last time and loved it! I was hoping to get a new one for this cruise.

One more questions...I haven't been on for ages. I just got our plane tickets. Great rate, but now we're staying till Tuesday. So...we just have to go to WDW! I'm a DVC member but I don't want to use my points. I was thinking about the new Animator's one, any recommendations?

Are you inviting the entire board? :lmao:

Have you ever been to a DCL Houseparty? I was lucky enough to be chosen to host one in 2009 just after our first Disney cruise. I will have to post a link to the site. We played bingo for Mouse ears and DCL toiletries and drank Konk Koolers. It was a blast. I haven't heard that they have done it since.

I just a did a search also for gradysmommy...Also looking for a new FE. She seemed to receive a few harsh comments do to late deliveries. Her last comment was May 1, 2012 and it looks like she pulled her ebay account. This is too bad. Her work was great and once something is shipped it's up to the PO to make sure of the delivery. Sad to see she is gone.:confused3

Check Etsy, she may have moved over there.

Well, if everyone wants to come to Denver, sure! :cool2:

I haven't ever been to one a house party, but it sounds like it would be fun! I love the H2O spa stuff they have on the ship, every time I open it, it's like I'm right back there!

We've got 4 families from Denver on our meet, us, your 2 and one from Lone Tree, so it might be kinda cool to get together before we hit the high seas, let the kids hang out, that sort of thing...

She is at www.Etsy.com along with several other people selling FE's. Just type Disney Fish Extender in the search and several come up.
