Oct 13, 2012 Fantasy who's going

I have seen a couple of youtube videos and still can't tell if it is a rollercoaster or not. I think that we will just plan to skip it for this Oct. Maybe by the time we get to ride it my girls will have seen all of the movies and it will have more meaning for them.

I just tried googling "harry potter ride is it a rollercoaster" and it came back with many choices and it seems it is. Some good videos on those sites.

Nothing like a good sailaway party :cheer2:

Last night the girls and I watched our DCL house party video. DJ Rick is just hilarious! I was a hostess in 2009 for one of the DCL parties and they sent me a DVD to show to my guests. I haven't been able to find it online yet but I will keep looking. My favorite part of the video is at the very end where Dj Rick gets thrown off of the ship and then the captain says "oh and have a magical day!" :rotfl2:

I just googled "DCL houseparty 2009" and a whole bunch of links showed up. Check it out maybe yours is there.

was just spending time looking at deck plans for the dream/fantasy. on some room numbers, it looks like there is an asterisk or dot before the room number. on some there isn't. 5046, which is the cabin we have, does not have one. anyone know what that means? :confused3

I believe that it means that the ones with the asterisk are adjoining rooms. On our deck (fwd) they are almost all adjoining rooms except for numbers 5052, 5046, 5024, 5546, 5524. Does that match up with what you are seeing?

yep, thanks! can't get our TA at mousesavers to get back to me on anything, so i'm happy to have some help here. :worship:

I was using my camcorder last night to film some of the skating and started watching some of my last cruise on the Dream. If our pirates party is as good as that one was we should have a grand time.
They put on one heck of a stage show then there is a DJ and of course the fireworks.
It was the first time I have ever been on a cruise where there was a rainstorm. It was after the stage show and during the dancing to the DJ - I thought people would leave the dance area. There were still quite a few that were dancing in the rain (including my family)

That must have been one heck of a party!

Been a couple of days since I posted. been so busy with projects - copying VHS to DVD ( have to slow that down right now) Ordered a bypass device for copy protected tapes.

Just bought a bunch old albums (33's) My car's a ford fiesta and it was full except for my seat. Going to convert them to CD's.

Skating nationals was the last two weeks - it was being live streamed from Fort Wayne Indiana - was using my camcorder to copy them from my computer.

:surfweb:

Maybe tomorrow I'll post a picture. Just taking a break right now. Putting all the albums in alphabetical order :thumbsup2

No Worries, we all get busy. My girls start school this Wednesday. So I am running all over town for those last minute things. Have fun alphabetizing all of those albums! Sounds like you have a ton!

I see on the news today that is the biggest news talk with ideas and advise. If you have a great relationship with your kids it could be fun. All I can say at this point is "been there - done that" :hippie:

I guess you could say carrying those albums from the car to the house was my exercise for the day. I feel the burn. I'm going to have to take some pics. If I stay diligent it might take a week. I also have to go the home depot for my some shelving. I cleared the double wide closet in my office. I believe it might just be good.

OK - here's a pic of the tween club on the ship.

Well, here are pictures of my project. The first is using the living room to get the albums in some sort of alphabetical order. The second is the closet after I bought shelving and brackets. The albums are so heavy I had to buy extra brackets to keep them from collapsing. To keep them from going thru the shelving I used laminated flooring pieces. That is 231 inches of albums. Now I am cataloging them on the computer.

Have a magical day.

That looks like a huge project, entering the titles and songs onto your computer! I love the way all the albums fit in your closet perfectly, what a collection!

HI :flower3: My oldest son would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have your collection. Cracks me up with all the technology he still has gone to vinyls. His friends think it is funny and buy him ones from yard sales, goodwill etc.

I was on a room service thread and they had a few things you could get via room service even though not on the menu. Thought I would share it with you all.

Also, here's a more current room service menu from the Dream...

I get info from you all the time to share with my cruisers so I thought I would pay a little back. :surfweb:

I thought it was interesting that you could get grilled cheese sandwiches. :thumbsup2 We have a couple of parents with younger children and sometimes, they are a bit picky in eating habbits.

That is all, carry on. :woohoo:

Susan - it's good to hear from you again. The lady I bought them from thought she would have a hard time selling them. She was amazed that I took her up on buying them. I am cataloging them right now (see the sample below). There were a few Walt Disney albums (plus they made a mistake thinking one was a LP -when they were actucally 4 CD's.
Thanks for the room service tips. You are a great lady.

This is a great retirement project.
