Oct 13, 2012 Fantasy who's going

I have questions about the fish extender fun. I realize we are several months out, but I'm a planner. And I'm excited :dance3:. At last count I figured we were at 26-ish participants. Will we buying for all or splitting up the group to make it more manageable? Will someone be making a master list? I have also seen on another thread in the forum an idea I might like to try. I'm thinking about circulating a disposable camera amongst our FE friends and having them take a picture or two of things they find interesting and then passing the camera along. Hopefully the camera will find its way back to us by the end of the cruise. Ideas anyone?

My portion of your answer is the list. I just went to the 1st posting (which can serve as your master list) and highlighted those that have said they are participating. There are 24 yes and 3 not sure. At this time I am updating it as info comes in. If you would like to divide it by deck or split it in any other manner. Let me know and I will mark it for you.:surfweb::teacher::thumbsup2

We have been on FE lists on every cruise we have taken with Disney and have had as many as 50 staterooms on our list.... I usually make 5 extras so the rooms next to us can enjoy our fun also. Sometimes we try to give age appropriate and sometimes it is very generic. The key is, if you are making your gifts allow yourself plenty of time and don't put yourself under tons of pressure/stress during the last few days before leaving. That's when you are supposed to be walking around with that Cheshire cat grin that everyone is wondering what you are up to.

I am also a planner. I know what I'm going to bring and am very excited to get started but my gift is a one per person.
With 24 cabins and counting I just wonder at what point do we divide into two groups? The one and only Disney cruise I was on had a relatively small FE group. I would prefer to keep one group together for the FE but how overwhelming is it to prepare and deliver for 50 cabins?

Hi all...another planner here.:thumbsup2 This will be our third cruise and considering my DH wanted nothing to do with a Disney cruise during the first, it's kind of funny now that he's all ready to book a b2b for next year.:lmao: Our first cruise was 4 nights on the Wonder and we had only 18 staterooms. It was really easy to manage and I made and bought way too much FE goodies. Last year was 4 nights on the Dream and 35 staterooms. We thought about dividing the list but it never happened. Most people planned for 30 so an extra 5 wasn't a problem. I have heard some cruisers have had as much as 100 plus and to me this one would need to be divided. The Dream and the Fantasy are much larger ships and there's a lot of walking to do. In my case I injured my leg on the first day of vacation so it was a chore to get around but my DH and DD helped with the deliveries and made it all possible. I'm planning on 50 and if anything is left over I can give them to my neighbors on the ship. It's still early and people are still joining this thread. Kind of a wait and see...I guess. Happy planning.:goodvibes

i have begun making my gifts and have enough for 30. i am doing one bigger gift per cabin, then some things for the kids. i can always get more supplies and plan on 50. but, i would vote to start splitting up the group at that point so we have enough money left over to do an excursion or two :rotfl:

Welcome Aboard Neighbor! I know what you mean about the snow. I wish our cruise was today! :wizard:

It's nice to meet some Disney Freaks in our area! :cheer2: Sometimes I feel like we are the only ones especially when my friends look at me funny and say "you're going to Disney again?"

We're lucky enough that we don't get much of that (of course we only hit WDW about once a year), what's funny, is that Jillian (DD) and I did a mother/daughter cruise last October on the Magic, and ended up being seated with another mother/daughter who lived in Highlands Ranch too, about a mile from our house!!!! We also ran into a family on our excursion in Costa Maya (ours was the Magical Mystery cruise, we didn't hit a single port on the day we were supposed to hit it except CC!) that was also from Highlands Ranch. I think we'll have a few folks from here on the cruise, just because it's Fall Break for us.

Jillian was pretty excited to hear that there was another couple of girls her age on the meet thread, and Ryan will be thrilled about seeing some other boys his age, usually he's the odd man out!

Callymum, the fish exchange is great, the kids loved coming back to the room and seeing fun presents in the extender. It's like 7 days of Christmas! :cutie:

Do we have any meets scheduled? I didn't see any discussed so thought I'd ask if anyone was interested?

I think that we should have a meet on the first day so that we can meet our fellow Disers. It's nice when you run into people you know throughout the trip.

My DH is trying to get some people together to play poker. Right now it is just the two of them.

What have you done on other cruises?
