I don't mind chipping in for a new one. My concern is now POP luggage storage - why would they refuse to give a claim ticket? I would hate for us to buy a new fridge, only for it to go missing right away.

And that's a great idea about writing down the serial number goofy. My DH suggested that last night, I was going to mention it today!

Great minds think alike! LOL! I'm thinking all these frig swaps should do that then we would also know if someone else was given our fridge. Also they could take a pic of the back of the frig where the serial number is ! Another thought!

Great ideas. Even though I'm at the end of the list right now, I don't mind chipping in either.

I'd be happy to put my name on the fridge. I'd even have it gold embossed!

Pop doesn't have it, I haven't gotten a reply back from the other swap maybe he/she hasn't logged on yet. It is Sunday.

I truely believe it was given to someone else by mistake.

Maybe scrapper216 can offer some info on the claim ticket. She told me over the phone her husband delivered it to luggage services and they said they don't give out claim tickets.

Then when we were trying to relocate the fridge the next swapper was told, we don't even have proof that it was left with us. That's the frustrating part cause they did try.

Merlot: Do you have a link to your paypal account? Cause I think we are at $40.00. I'll pm the swappers and get them to come out and see what's going on with the swap.

Everyone has been sent a pm. Hopefully they will come here and post what they want to do or send me a pm.

The other swap did contact me. They said to be patient and it will turn up. The swapper who used it comes home today and they are waiting to here from them. Their box is very unique, wrapped in floral paper with coconuts info on it.

they once said their box was sitting on a golf cart once.

The other swap guru, disneydaze, something like that, said it's been happening alot with them. right now they are using one that pop gave them cause they had proof they left the fridge with pop and it went a missing.

There's still hasn't turned up for months.

I like the idea of starting fresh and personalizing it.

We just have to stress trying to make the exchange in person rather than relying on pop to hold it, cause honestly they really don't like us doing this.

I know that's hard to do, but maybe the requirements for the swap should change and you can only participate if you can intercept the fridge in person?


I don't know, just and idea and i'd hate to limit it like that, but I'd also hate to see the fridge go missing again.

Hmmm, it might be tricky to get everyone to swap in person. Not too sure if that would work out, but I agree it would be better. Maybe our fridge will turn up, the other swap lost theirs for 5 days. The next person to go needs to ask again, you never know.....
I am fine with chipping in, I hope enough people are interested!

Tink: since Melot is after you? Can you get the fridge, so at least you will be a part of this? Otherwise, you may not have it.

The one problem with our fridge showing up, my info is not on it for anyone to contact me. That's something I did not think of doing until now. Live and learn. I do know its white, has a christmas tree in it, and the box is taped, has mickey heads on it and fast passes. That's all I know. It does have a freezer tray section too.

I was talking to Merlot and she was willing to wrap our box in decorative contact paper so the box does not look like a fridge, and then she'll add my info and list the fridge belonging to our swap on the fridge itself.

Someone suggested taking a picture of the fridge and box and I can forward the pictures to the swappers so they have a visual when they get there.

I am on for May 3-8. I would be willing to chip in $10 but if its too much trouble its not that big of deal to me. If the swap is not available I won't be renting one. I'll just be using it for drinks so not that big of deal to me. Hopefully it will show up.

Cruisecat... and will be relabeling and handing off to Jen1997 today.... She will be claiming one of the other unnamed one back to the swap I run as ours is MIA and there are 2 that fit the last description of the one I saw ....
