Can someone educate me? I was looking at some of the Navigators online. I'm trying to determine if we would bring our children to the Club/Lab then the counselors bring them to the various activities, or do we bring them to the activities? We're only going on the 3-Day and want to get as good of a handle on things as we can so we don't spend too much time trying to figure things out. Thanks for any info you can provide...have a great day!

most of the activities are right there in the club. (i can only speak for the club, since that's what i've used) the place is huge! and they have various "sections". if the navigators show that the club activities are in a certain place (lab, movie theater, etc.) the counselors take the group there.

our DS went to the club once, and the activity was held at the lab. we dropped him off at the club, and when we went to pick him up, we had to pick him up at the lab.

hope this helps. :flower:

You drop off and pick up your kids from the activities directly. That means either in the lab, club, on the basketball court, or wherever. The only times you cannot pick up or drop off your child is when they are in transition or in the movie theatre. So you have to be aware of the timing of things if you need to have your kids in or out at a certain time. Also, it is good to inform the counselor as you check in your child if you have a palo reservation that day or a spa appointment. They will do everything they can not to page you as to not disrupt your special time. Another side note, I found the pager doesn't always pick up when you are down in the bars. My daughter was hurt once and we didn't get the page until we left the bar. Next time, I will check in before I go to one of the shows downstairs and tell them where I will be just in case.

To clarify:

If the group is out at a different location, such as the basketball court when you want to drop off or pick up, you go to that location.

If your child is at the club/lab when they are going to a new location, the counselors bring the child to the location.

The navigator will tell you where they are at what times, and will tell you when to avoid picking up/dropping off.

Have a great time!!! :sunny:

Thank you. That is exactly what I was hoping to hear!! I am so afraid my kids aren't going to want to be in the clubs

Just an idea...but try and meet some other family's that are traveling at the same time...with children the same age... We did this last year and my dd6 was able to do e-mail pen pal letter wrighting back and forth prior to the cruise with her "new" friend...then when they finally met up on board (actually in the terminal) it was all over...friends for life...they wanted to go to the club together, go to the pool together...well everything. It made it real nice to know that while she was in the club she was having fun...with her new friend.. We all ended up having a great time and all rebooked together for cruse #2 this fall. :) Thanks to the dis boards and cruise meets..now we have cruise/vacation buddies.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not worried about my DD (7) she is definitely her father's daughter and loves to be the center of attention. My DS (10 on the other hand is more like me and would rather be in a small group of people he knows than face the unknown. He knows that he will have to go to the club to at least try it and if he doesn't want to do what we do then he'll have to go then (i.e., the shows, etc.). Time will tell...I can't wait pirate:
