My daughter is going to be 10 years old at the end of September. We're sailing at the end of October. Is she permitted in the 8-9 year old group since she will be only a month past her 10th birthday? The reason I ask is that her sister and three of her cousins that we're going with are all in the 8-9 year old range.

Simply talk to the club supervisor when you get on the ship. They allow one move from age group to age group.

Should not be a problem at all. Just talk to a counselor when you sign her up and tell her why.

Our older son was able to "step down" to the younger age group to be with his twin brother and sister. The conselors were very nice about doing this, but they did let us know that it would be on a trial basis. As long as he behaved and did not overwhelm or bully the younger kids, he would be allowed to stay. We had no problems, and they actually had a blast going together. For our next cruise, the older one says that he wants to go to the Oceaneer Lab with the 8-9's while the little guys are in the Oceaneer Club with the 5-7's. We'll see how that goes.

Have a fun trip!

Mike
