Has anyone ever stayed at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront Suites on the boardwalk? They look really nice on the website, but what you see on their is not always what you get.

I can help with this one!!!!

I will send you a PM

We stayed there in the off season (early May) and it is beautiful. We had an oceanfront suite with king bed, jacuzzi, kitchen and living room. The place was very clean, the bar/lounge was very good, the indoor pool was nice and the place is very convient to everything. It is just far enough away from the "carnival" end of the Boardwalk to be quiet. We really enjoyed it!! :thumbsup2

We stay here every year. After being on every boardwalk hotel in the last 25 years I think we have found our favorite! It is so nice. The rooms are large, the service great, the pools fantastic. I just booked my week for July and can't wait. PM if you need any additional info.

Yes, and it is GREAT!

Be careful though, be sure you get the right one as there are two holiday inns on the boardwalk. One is much newer and nicer, with fun pools for the kids (and adults) which is the one you're referring to i think, and it is toward the lower numbered cross streets. Hope that makes sense....i'll try to find the link to be more specific.

We're going in July, too. What week are you going?

Yes this one (hope the link works). It's the one on 17th and Boardwalk. 3 pools, jacuzzi, Coral Reef restaurant.

I'm heading to the 1 on 67th st. on 3-3 for DD soccer tourn. We've stayed before and it was very nice. The 1 on 17th is aslo nice have stayed there before as well

That looks nice! I'd love to bring my boys to the beach for a few days sometime this summer--maybe I'll take a closer look. My DH doesn't want to go to the beach for vacation because we went last year, but I can bring the kids midweek.

Yes, thats it. So nice, in every way, much nicer and kid friendly (but still good for adults!) than the other hotels on the boardwalk, holiday inn and otherwise.

Wish i could go right now!! Except it's likely just as cold there as here....

Hurry spring!!!

:)

We went to the one on 17th street for years but haven't been in about 5 years. It was showing wear then, but no doubt has been updated. The only complaint I had was that when the boys were little we went there specifically so they could swim in the indoor pool- it was in January, and it was the time period that they had decided to clean the pool or something- no swimming. So we let the boys play in the hot tub, but that aggravated a young couple who was using it, understandably, even though we were also in the tub, so we didn't let them do that again. Then another time that we also went in the winter so the kids could swim inside, the water in the pool was a disgusting murky greenish yellow color, so we wouldn't let the boys go in. The hotel is in a great location, very nice ocean view, and a pleasant hike down to the carnival end of the boardwalk- well worth strolling a couple times a day. There are a number of restaurants in easy walking distance. We would park the car and not drive at all while we were there. I would go there again. But if I had children, I'd call and make sure that the pool was clean and open.
