You see, guys, the problem you have is thinking that, by disagreeing with Dean, you're disagreeing with a person. I'm afraid that's not the case.
It's time for the truth to be told.
"Dean" is not really a human. "Dean" is actually a sophisticated computer program designed by a consortium of timeshare owners, operators, and developers. The program is designed to auto-respond any time someone asks a question about timeshare.
(It should come as no surprise that "Dean" is not a person...a user profile completely devoid of information, a relative absence of humor in over 7,000 posts. And do you think a REAL person would spend an hour talking to two Disney execs about timeshare during Hurricane Ivan? Of course not.)
As you can see, the results have been an amazing success. "Dean" is able to answer timeshare questions so quickly and so accurately (nearly 365 days a year, I might add!) that the creators of the software have been commissioned to create similar programs for everything from engine repair to marriage counseling.
But those of you on the room occupancy thread may have already noticed a glitch in the "Dean" software. The "room occupancy" auto-responses often cause the system to crash, or to bog down in arcane minutiae. The programmers are aware of this, and are working on a solution.
If you wish to maximize the use of "Dean" for all of us, please avoid provoking it into room occupancy discussions. "Dean" has far too much to offer all of us as we try to understand more important issues like right-to-use contracts, direct point exchanges, and the use of pool noodles at Stormalong Bay.
