Obtaining a pushchair on arrival.

Hi, when my niece was young there was a pushchair exchange. Can't really remember how it worked. My niece is now going over with her 2.1/2 yr old. The villa doesn't have a pushchair & she woul rather take her own car seat that's his pushchair. They are flying with thompsons & only one is free.

They are on a very tight budget, hiring from the parks is not an option.

I don't know of any stroller exchanges. I would suggest investigating off site rental companies that will deliver to the villa

If he's 2.5 years old he need's his own seat on the plane. Use the carseat on the plane, and gate check the pushchair? I asume they are hiring a car upon arrival. If using magical express and disney buses on site they won't be able to use the carseat.

GREAT option!! At that age I took my dd's car seat on the plane and she slept for 6 hours straight! I also found it easier as she understands sitting in her car seat and was much easier to entertain...and control.

Thanks for your replies, some great info here. He has got his own seat, they even offered the seat next to them in the 4 across section for only £60 so he could lay down & sleep. As she has gone on a budget she can only take a pushchair or car seat. His pushchair is very heavy too.

They go on 18th of June, only just booked as a surprise for her birthday.

She could buy an umbrella stroller (lightweight and she can probably find one under $40) when she gets here. Although I'm not clear on if the carseat would actually count if she carried it on the plane and used it (for safety I would not suggest checking it anyway).
