Obsessive Compulsive Planning Behavior..

Thanks for the help. I had tried the help search, but no luck. Of course I looked under printing. I did find that I could create it in printshop.

Great idea about the t-shirt. Will explore that idea with my sister.

Have to go type my mockletter from Mickey. My DGD loved the ones I sent from Minnie. They really thought Minnie was excited to see them.

Tose cliparts on the web are great for planning these type of special touches.

It is official. I have gone over the edge. I called Oral B again today (okay truth be told several times today) finally found two places that had that darn tooth paste. There was a rite aid in Mobile Al and a shop rite in Marlton NJ. Tough choices seeing how I live in VA. I called shope rite and they had 1 tube left. They do not ship, but hey I have an ex-husband who lives not to far from there, so guess what?? You guessed it I called him and asked if he would go buy me the toothpaste and ship it to me. He agreed and he and his new wife now have posession of my toothpase and are shipping it to me tomorrow. I originally did a web search and called several Target's. Target will not ship (lost my business). The have an online service though. Go figure.

I will stop obssessing over the tooth paste now. :cool1:

I have to get my pillow case finished and letter written. Then finish packing. I went hand helped my sister pack tonight for her DH. She was already packed. She mist be a silent obsessor.

sorry I have been MIA lately. Between planning the surprise party for DH which went great!! My bday on the 1st and having the in laws here for the week I really had no chance to spend time alone or in peace on the computer..sooooooo I am back :cool1: and I love all these new smilies especially this one  although this one :dancer: is kinda scary

dee--How was the Surprise Cruise????
did you get the toothpaste in time ??
called the ex hubby :rotfl: now THAT is obsessive!!!

Hope all is well with you and yours
Take Care :grouphug:

The surprise was great. I was able to hold out till we got to the port. Got the toothpaste in time. Glad that it is over and no more surprises for me. It was way to stressful. I am on a double dose of medicine for my ulcer now. UGH!

My DH had a wonderful time and even said he would do it again. :Pinkbounc

Glad you surprise went well too.

I don't know if there's any hope for me holding out til Christmas with our surprise??? I really wish I could just not tell the kids at all, but I'd never make it that long... besides, a 12 yr old is likely to realize that her clothes are disappearing, and I am an 'early packer', being as O/C as I am about cruising!!!

Sombeody help me keep my mouth shut!!! I might have to resort to duct tape!!

Ha I too love the "surprize" factor, and it is Very hard to keep from blurting it out! I have covered my tail, by stating a Disney Cruise is a BIG trip that we will do someday, but it takes a long time to plan, so dont be suprised if you see Cruise books, Passporters, etc around the house.
Fortunatley packing has been relatively easy since we live here in the North :cold: and I'm sneaking the shorts, bathingsuits and sundresses :sunny: .
I think DD will finally find out at the airport when she reads the signs. I told her we are going on a vacation, to somewhere either cold like skiing, or warmer like Florida, but NOT MK!!! I told DH and DD, the spare bedroom upstairs is off limits as that is where I am hiding the luggage and gifts and goodies... and they have both been quite cooperative, not sneaking a peek!
:earseek:
I also did this trip as a surprize so I wouldnt have to live with the "How many more days MOM" ???
crossing my fingers it all works out!

Just wish I had Navigators to plan activities, Palo & Cllub times!
Can anyone help?

Are you going on the Wonder or Magic? You can check DCLtribute.com for naigators. It will be hard to plan Palo until you know you dinning rotation, IMHO.

Kiki, I did resort to stealing my DH's clothes and he would ask me about it, I just played it off and said I am sure they are someplace and will show up. I also kept cleaning out closets and rearranging so as to keep him confused. I his the suitcases in the closet and would pack every Sunday eening for about a month and a half. I made a list of what I needed and carried it wih me everywhere in my purse so he would not see it.

Down side to the surprise is that he does not really believe that I am going on a business trip in June. :guilty:

Oh well it was wonderful all the same.

DD would tear the house apart til she found her favorites... its easier to 'steal' the clothes of a grown man than a pre-teen girl!!! (Wow... that didn't sound right... but you know what I mean.) And if I 'forgot' something that she wanted to bring, I'd never hear the end of it.

My plan is to make it the 'big Christmas gift' this year... we sail in May, so it will give them time to earn some extra spending $ (yes, that IS bribery.. sorry), and it will give them time to get excited about the trip. I'm thinking about taking them down to the port on 12/31 to see the ship leave... that ought to be a good 'teaser' for a few months. (It's only 45 minutes from home).

Dee-- Forgot to ask, were the decoration packages worth the extra $30 + or should we bring our own?? We actually Now have 5 people and 4 birthdays to celebrate. DH friends are coming with us and it is Both their bdays too..
aww our Poor ds feels left out his bday is in May... hahahah

 :cloud9:

Shhhh... I'm taking a nap. :faint:

Is it any consolation that I was up all night pondering things like,

"gee, if I need to pack duct tape, and duct tape is grey metallic looking, I wonder if I'll have problems getting it through the metal detectors at airport security....so do I have hubby save part of a roll (smaller for packing) or just find the nearest Target when I get to Florida.....do they have Targets down there???"

not to mention, with my kids being 3 & 4 now (4 and 5 when we cruise), "gosh, I'd better buy the spring transitional clothes that are more tropical looking in one size bigger for my daughter because she'll most likely outgrow the spring stuff by November....and I need to get extra bathing suits, and when I buy sandals, we'll need an extra pair in a size bigger, too...."

AND....my daughter will be turning 4 on the day we leave, so there's that whole "do we have a party for friends at home before we leave? When do we schedule that? Is her brother going to think it's unfair that sister gets a cruise for her birthday?"

:earseek:

I got one. How about I book a cruise through Disney a month ago. I confirmed it on Friday. I pondered all night Monday night (maybe got two hours of sleep) what to do cancel or not. I canceled it Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. Then pondered all day, searching for some other cruise (less expensive), we really want eastern there is only one the month of June 2006 and the cheap seats are sold. Tuesday afternoon I rebooked the rooms that I had. Now today I thinking maybe we really should save the money and the oldest starts college two months after we are planning to go. I told my husband and the financial consultant (different issue) that vacations are too important, we have to go. God willing it will all work out and Western won't be that bad.

Ok this may sound like a silly question but, heck, here goes,
why would you need duct tape on a cruise ?? is your duct travelling with you?? is there a chance he/she may fly away or something?? :rotfl:
:confused3

our cruise is a little under a year away and I have to keep reminding myself NOT to pack yet... :faint:

No...I'm not packing my ducts... :rotfl:

My mother in law happens to think it will come in handing for controlling her 3 grandchildren (who will be ages 4,5 & 6) :rolleyes1 but I thought that was what the kids' clubs were for??? :confused3

However, from what I've read, the duct tape is useful for stopping rolling/slamming closet doors, fixing broken belts, sandals, suitcase issues, etc. You know, pretty much all of the "If you can't fix it with duct tape it can't be fixed" problems that arise in daily life, which would seem SO much worse (to me) because there isn't a Target on the ship. (I swear to you, I can pack so much lighter when I know there's a Target or Walmart nearby in case of emergencies!!!)

Enna-- sorry I couldn't resist about the "duct" remark.. wanna' hear something funny?? my dh owns a heating & airconditiong company so we KNOW that story.. Duct tape can fix It...

Our son is 14 so he never went to the Kid's Centers but from what I hear they are awesome and kids never get lost. Parents even get a pager in case something happens.. Our son goes to the Teen Club and the only time we really see him is at Dinner, On the excursions, Bedtime and umm That's really it.. Sometimes I forget we even have a son...

Oh I do the same thing, if there is a Walmart near by I know I am safe..

Happy Packing !!!
