Just retuned yesterday from our 9 day stay. Be prepared for some heat and humidity.....YIKES!!!! Our first 3 days it was like 95 w/ really high humidity. Then the rain came and at first I was sad it was raining, but it kept the heat and humidity away. It rained on and off for the next 5 days!! Sunday (yesterday) the sun and heat and humidity returned. We only stayed in MK for 2 hours - we were miserable. So all you summer travelers.....be prepared!
The crowds were very low, mostly 20 minute waits. Go early!!! Can't stress that enough. Did Fantasyland in 1 1/2 hours. Didn't use EMH PM. We were there for Spectro and Wishes and it was packed. We left and returned at opening the next day and the place was empty till 1:00ish. We were litteraly walking off a ride and on to another, never waited in line. Going day after EMH is my recommendation.
Anyway - what I wish I hadn't seen:
* A woman sitting on a bench in Toontown clipping her toenails!! My dh took a picture because he said no one would believe it.
* An overweight Italian woman in a bathroom in Frontierland with her top off washing her body in the sink!!! EEEEWWW
* A woman in a ECV (weighing a least 300lbs) in a bikini with a clear poncho on.
* Waiting for Stitch a man who began pushing his nosehairs back into his nostrils when his wife told him to!!!
* The cooler use is out of control. I don't know where people put them when going on the rides. One lady parked hers in stroller parking, it was one of those hard plastic ones on wheels, very large. I got there in time to see her handing out puddings to her kids. I could see in the cooler, sodas, sandwiches, puddings...it was crazy!!!
* A group of young Italian girls, there were a lot of them and they PACKED
into the monorail, totally overloaded it. They were all over us, no sense of personal space. 7 of them squeezed onto the bench where 2 of my kids were already sitting, almost tossed my son on the floor. Then they started YELLING to eachother. One girl who was kinda behind me leaned over me, her face was an inch away from me and she was yelling to her friend who was across the car! I said to her, "excuse me". Either she didn't understand me, or pretended not to understand. At one point I kept my elbow in one of their backs to keep some space for me. She didn't care one bit. When they finally got off, the 20 or so of us in the car just started laughing....it was really crazy.
* Finally, the amount of pushing that goes on. Someone is constantly pushing past you and tripping over your stroller. And the pushing that goes on to get into and out of shows is down right scary!!!! Leaving the new stunt show in MGM is a nightmare. My 8 year old got separated from me (I thought he was behind me). I heard him crying and yelling for me. I stopped and was almost trampled by people and I was yelling to him to catch up to me. No one would give a crying boy a break. I understand not watching where you or going and bumping into someone (it's hard not to in a crowd) but hardly anyone says sorry or excuse me!! No manners left in this world.
* Lastly, the one time we rode the bus we were leaving MGM in the pouring rain. The bus finally comes (after a long wait) and a family with a wheelchair person loads first. Wheelchair person, spouse, grandparents, kids, kid in stoller. Fine, whatever. We all squeeze on, I make my boys 11 & 8 stand. I hear people talking and I turn around. The grandfather of the wheelchair group (who is young, late 50s looking) is sitting on the outside of a 2 seats, not allowing anyone to sit with him, chewing his gum looking very cocky while and older woman (real grandma looking) is standing. A teenage boy offers his seat while the man is sitting there all cocky looking. On top of that, he was pushing the stroller and when he loaded the bus, he put it(still open) on top of the wheelchair leaning into the aisle. He never closed it and the bus driver said nothing. There was also a man in an EVC on the buse traveling with his wife and 3 young kids and a double stroller. No one would help them unload (I was stuck in the front of the bus holding my stoller on my lap, or I would have helped) It was so sad, he had to manuver off the bus, the wife gets off, holding her infant to hand the infant to him to get back on the bus to get the other 2 off to get back on and get the double stoller having trobule getting it off. Everyone watched, especially the cocky man. It really upset me.
Well, that's it Sorry so long, but there is a lot to see if you look!!!
