We were held up numerous times by people not listening to the "no more boarding" calls by the tram operators. People must have thought the tram operators were speaking to "other" people, not THEM!! The trams were ready to leave, pretty full, but people kept on coming and just HAD to get on - even when another tram was right behind us. One man, even though he was told twice not to board, kept us waiting while he broke down his kid's stroller!!...OR the tram could not park and stop because people weren't behind the poles - Tram operator pleaded for people to stand behind the poles or he could not stop for pickups - Did they listen - NO, so another few minutes were wasted...What's up with people??

No wonder Cast Members get snippy with people...they have to deal with too many rude people.

This was two weeks ago when the parks weren't crowded - I'd hate to see it when it's busy........

Unfortunately, rudeness comes everywhere, just as niceness does, I guess *shrug*
I was also there two weeks ago, waiitng at the poles for a tram, and when it pulled up people to my right crossed in our path and boarded our row, creating an instant chain reaction across the car...my kids and I were left standing there with no place to board :(
Oh well, I try not to let it get to me....we were close enough and decided to walk instead :sunny:

Last week it was the same thing. People just kept getting on no matter how many times they announced no more boarding. We were also frustrated by the fact that we waited our turn patiently and every single time the tram stopped someone jumped into our row and took our seats. We ran into really quite a bid of rudeness from the hotel to the parks and by the end of the week I was just sick of it. One person bashed my daughter in the head with his huge bag and didn't even bother to say sorry. A lot of people all week seemed to feel "entitled" or something. At the breakfast buffet one day one lady didn't seem to think that any line was meant for her. She would go from area to area and just walk right in front of people who had been waiting. Grrr!! You can tell this was a sore point with me last week.

These are the same people at the airport shoving thier hand in the closing door on that tram. I get so angry with these people. That is one reason I generally walk instead of take the tram. At the airport, I have been known to say VERY LOUDLY " I guess we all had to wait since this will be the LAST train ever". Of course after they endangered life and limb, is the luggage there..... NO

Unfortuantely our society today seems to have lots of people who think only of themselves and it shows up in a lack of some basic consideration and manners.

I was laughing at the buffet commet. At Christmas I was at Boma and was standing in line FOREVER. I finally got out of line. Turns out I was in line for the omlet station, but it had kind of wrapped all over the place. I did skip it and go to the other stuff and one man seemed upset. I was not sure why, I mean if I did not want an omlet why should I be in that line. Maybe he had been confused like me and thought we were in the "food line". (Trust me, we weren't that line actually moved!)

I've noticed the same thing at the Orlando airport with the tram, too. Being from Chicago, I call it "doing a Rachel Barton." She was a violinist who tried to get onto a train when the doors were closing. The door closed with her violin and arm inside and her body outside. Instead of doing the smart thing and letting go of the violin, she actually hung onto to it and ended up being dragged by the train and losing a leg. Then she won millions from Metra for her own stupidity (I know that may sound harsh, but I don't care how much the violin is worth...if you insist on trying to get on a train when the doors are closing and then refuse to let go of the violin, you're stupid).

People can not bring themselves to wait for another tram if one is there is seems..they are often risking not being seen and having the driver pull away with only half their party on the tram or getting feet run over...We once saw a non english speaking family jump forward and put a youngster maybe three in an empty seat with another family, the driver had said final boarding and would now be pulling away. He then stepped back and the tram pulled away, guess he tought he would stick his family in empty seats..so this family had his kid with them. They were dealing with it when we got off, never knew what happened as we got off..but what a mess it caused. I guess people feel that this is... THE LAST TRAM EVER..going to the TTC and they must get on it, so risk everything to get on, very dangerous...

The usual complement of comments about rude people pushing and shoving and cutting in line. No way to stop that except with force, either your own or from your brother in law whose family you invited to spend your WDW vacation together with.

The conductor, at the back of the tram, is responsible for seeing that everyone inside is seated and everyone outside is back behind the poles, before giving the all clear to the driver.
