We went to MVMCP on December 4th. Had a nice time. One thing I observed is that a lot of non-party people hang out waiting for the parade and fireworks. Doesn't seem fair to me but then how would you get them all out of the parks? :confused3
People were lined up at the parade route at 7pm. Most of the people didn't have a wrist bands on. The firworks were extremely crowded too. After the firworks the park cleared out.

I'm wondering if they had a problem during the 12/4 party! I was there too and it seemed just a crowded at 7pm as it did at 1pm that day!

Also, I never "walked" on any rides! The wait times were 30 mins on most rides. I did see the parade twice. Overall the party was worth the money but I was disappointed that I missed getting my picture taken and Twas the Night Before Christmas show.

I went on that day also and noticed the same thing. They really should clear out the park since we are paying extra to get in.

Same for us on the 1st. I couldn't believe how long the wait times were compared to MNSSHP.

They must have gotten lots of complaints and fixed that. We were there last night and they were very strict about wrist bands. It was like a human CM wall in many spots and they did turn many people away from entering the lands. Buzz had a 20 minute wait at 7:30; 5 minutes at 9 and walk on at 11:30

The only way to fix this and make sure everyone leaves is to do what they used to do and empty the park, close it and reopen for MVMCP guests only.

However many guests complained about this too as they were already in the park, having a meal, etc and did not want to leave and re-enter which is why they started issuing wristbands.

They changed clearing the park after 9/11 when they started the bag checks. If they cleared the park, everyone would have to go back through security and it would be a huge line. Plus by allowing admission after 4:00, it spreads out the arrival times, again lessening the security lines.
