Observation about CP packages and Le Cellier

I noticed when the general (non-CP) bookings for Le Cellier were made available last week, lunch seating times were very limited, with no ADRs available before 1 pm. I thought this was odd since I'd read elsewhere that CP bookings don't start until 1:45 pm.

Today, as CP ADRs were made available, I checked and noticed that I could book a CP lunch for Le Cellier with a noon ADR time.

My takeaway from all of this is that Disney must hold back the overwhelming majority of lunch ADRs at Le Cellier for CP, including all ADRs before 1 pm. Given the popularity of the resturant, its limited seating capacity, and the fact that you can't book Le Cellier for a dinner CP package, I suppose this is not surprising.

Another way of saying this is that Disney has virtually made Le Cellier a de facto 2 TS lunch during the time CP is running (especially if you want an ADR before 1 pm).

Yes, I noticed this too when I went to make my Le Cellier lunch ADR for the week of 12/2. I wanted lunch earlier than the 1:05 I was initially able to book for 12/7, so I started checking times for every day of our stay. Ended up cancelling the 12/7 ADR as I was able to get 11:30 on 12/2, which was the only day I could get an ADR before 1:00.

Older thread, but yep I just noticed this. I've been trying in vain to get an ADR for a non-CP lunch during our stay but no can do. It's annoying because basically the only way to get this restaurant is now to either book a 2 TS credit dinner or a lunch CP package which we have no interest in. :|

I wanted a plain old lunch reservation on one of four days. It actually didn't matter WHICH day. The woman I spoke to on the dining reservation line said it would be next to impossible.

I have the opposite problem. I booked the CP package for LeCellier and I wanted a later lunchtime. I was told they were only booking the package from 12-1. I then asked for a regular lunch around 2 and was told nothing was available.

Yep that's because they squeezed all the regular lunch reservations from 1-2 and anything before that is CP. I'd trade someone if I could, we have 1:20 for a regular and want closer to 12:30
