That would be great if Leia got some screen time. Her foster dad Bail Organa was featured in the Clone Wars show, If I recall, and he's important enough to bring back, so that would open the door for some Leia moments. I can't imagine the whole show will be on Tatooine.Everyone in my house is looking forward to this!
I'm really hoping to see if they introduce all the other Jedi that made it through 66 and watching Luke grow up will be amazing, I want to see his extended family - like who are his mom's people? Are they hidden potential Padawan? Who was she protecting when she said Anakin had no dad? Such a potentially rich source of Midichlorian hosts - I didn't read the books so they can say whatever they want and I'm good. Leia's upbringing doesn't have an Obi Wan franchise player tied to her but I hope they find someone very charismatic they can slide into that role to help that story arc along.
So exciting, although I hope they stop burying the lead so much, my entire family wanted to bail on Book of Boba Fett the episode before it became enchanting again... these cast members need charisma to drive interest - fingers crossed!
OK, am I missing something here? I thought Order 66 was the one killing all the Jedi (during Ep3). Grogu isn't a Jedi yet, and BoBF happened between Eps6 & 7, right? Or am I misunderstanding (totally possibly if not likely).Given how Mando got so much screen time in Book of Boba Fett, I wonder if they'll shed light on Grogu's escape during Order 66.

BoBF happens after Return of the Jedi/Episode 6, yep.
In Mando Season 2, Ahsoka mentions that Grogu somehow escaped the Jedi Temple during Order 66. In BoBF, Luke looked into Grogu's memories, we see Grogu witnessing some Jedi being killed during the Order. He wasn't a Jedi, but he was Force-sensitive (which we saw several times on The Mandalorian) and was originally going to be trained.
(Edited to add: And of course, we know even for a creature that's not a full Jedi, he was Force-sensitive enough that the Remnant Empire still wanted him.)
Thanks. I enjoy SW, but I don't remember those little details.
Vader will be back, they did confirm Hayden Christensen will be in the series. This should mean Palpatine's back too. I hope they do a stand-alone story with those guys, and not just use Palpatine to lay down some foreshadowing to Rise of Skywalker.Brought tears of joy to my eyes. I cannot wait for this. Awesome trailer. Music was incredible. Really great time to catch up on Rebels if anyone hasn't seen that . Lots of Inquisitor action/info in that series. The new inquisitor who is featured in the trailer looks great! I'm interested in getting more depth for Owen and Beru. I think we'll get LOTS of flashbacks of Obi wan w Anakin., reflecting on where, why, how things went wrong, and their relationship. Hopefully more Vader too in the series, not just flashbacks.
It looks SO good!!
Thanks! I think there should be a cheat sheet. To break it down a little more using the Star Wars Chronology:
19 BBY: Order 66 - Grogu is present at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant - He is about 22 years old, but still very young for his species.
10 BBY: Obi Wan Kenobi series takes place
0 ABY: Battle of Yavin
4 ABY: Battle of Endor/fall of the Empire
9ABY: Grogu is found by Mandalorian - is about 50 years of age and still a child.
It is unknown how much training Grogu had received before at the Jedi Temple. They do start them young though, but clearly the species develops very slowly. He may have been just barely begnining his training. He was definitely already considered a "Youngling" and thus would have been hunted by the Emporer per Order 66.
